DeSantis\u2019 latest polling average is his lowest since July 1 of last \u2064year, according to RCP\u2019s co-founder and president, Tom Bevan.<\/p>\n<p>Ramaswamy has also\u200b seen\u2064 a\u200c slight boost in his polling in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.realclearpolitics.com\/epolls\/2024\/president\/ia\/2024_iowa_republican_presidential_caucus-8164.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Iowa<\/a>, the key first caucus state, jumping over Pence and tying with \u2063former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley, according to the RCP average. In Iowa, Trump \u200dleads \u2063with\u2062 50% over DeSantis (17%), South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott \u2063(7.7%), Ramaswamy (4.3%), Haley\u2064 (4.3%), Pence (3.5%), and former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie (3.5%). Trump\u2019s lead in\u2062 New Hampshire, the first \u200cprimary \u200bstate, \u200cis slightly smaller as \u200cthe former\u2063 president comes in at 41%\u200b in front of DeSantis\u2063 (19%), Christie (6.3%), Scott (6%), Haley (5%), Ramaswamy (3.7%), and North Dakota Governor Doug Bergum\u200b (3.7%).<\/p>\n<p>Candidates are preparing for the \u2062first Republican presidential debate, which will be held in Milwaukee on August 23.
