Tim Ryan \u200cis launching a new organization focused on policy and democracy and addressing the \u2062country&#8217;s &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/biden-hosts-governors-at-white-house-for-dinner\/\" title=\"Biden Hosts Governors at White House for Dinner\">exhausted majority<\/a>&#8220;\u2063 later this\u2063 week.<\/p>\n<h3>Engaging Voters and Fostering Dialogue<\/h3>\n<p>In a new interview with CBS News, Ryan revealed his plans\u2063 for \u2062the \u2063following year. He intends to travel across\u200c the country\u2064 and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/former-democratic-rep-tim-ryan-will-focus-on-exhausted-majority-in-new-initiative\/\" title=\"Former Democratic Rep. Tim Ryan to prioritize 'exhausted majority' in new effort.\">host policy-based \u200bevents aimed<\/a> at fostering a dialogue among voters that promotes democracy.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>&#8220;We the\u2064 People&#8221; will serve as a resource for\u2063 voters who feel \u2064politically homeless,\u200c Ryan told CBS News. \u2063According to him, many Americans feel frustrated by the \u2064actions of politicians \u2062in Washington, D.C., as well as \u200cthe Right-wing populist movement behind former\u200b President Donald Trump. This organization \u2062aims to create a movement for them.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Ryan, who ran\u200d for\u2062 the Democratic presidential nomination in 2020 and then for Senate in Ohio in 2022, losing both, added that these people are &#8220;checking out&#8221; of politics altogether. &#8220;That&#8217;s maddening \u200bbecause that gives a bigger voice to those forces of division and hate and anger,\u2063 so\u2064 we want to build an\u2063 organization that welcomes these people to participate,&#8221; he explained.<\/p>\n<p>The centrist\u2064 Democrat said the organization&#8217;s approach will be &#8220;very, very practical and \u200bvery pragmatic&#8221; because &#8220;we just \u200dwant to elevate the conversation and welcome people in.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>While \u200che\u200b is looking to assemble a large coalition of Americans, he won&#8217;t be tip-toeing around taking stances on issues. Ryan said the group will &#8220;take a strong and \u200chostile position against these forces of hate and \u2063anger and fear and division in the\u200d country.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;That&#8217;s\u200c the only\u2062 way \u200cfor\u200c us, in my estimation, for us to allow all of this greatness happening in\u200b the country to be able to bloom and to grow,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>He explained that he is still very much a Democrat, but said\u2064 that the political system is\u2064 broken, nonetheless. &#8220;It&#8217;s broken across the board, and the\u2062 fact that we have a MAGA \u200dmovement in the country illustrates, pretty clearly, that here is a corrosion to our political\u200b system, and solely having political fights won&#8217;t heal that,&#8221; he\u2063 claimed.<\/p>\n<p>The group isn&#8217;t interested in getting involved in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/nevada-sheriff-announces-run-to-challenge-democrat-governor-sisolak\/\" title=\"Nevada Sheriff Announces Run To Challenge Democrat Governor Sisolak\">presidential politics<\/a>, according \u2064to Ryan. Instead, it \u2062will opt &#8220;to actually build a sustainable organization that&#8217;s citizen-powered.&#8221; \u200cThe organization is a 501(c)4 nonprofit and will not make endorsements.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the issues that \u2063&#8221;We the\u2064 People&#8221; will devote time and resources\u2062 to are\u2062 American manufacturing, energy production, and veterans&#8217; care, he said.<\/p>\n<p>While this endeavor will consume Ryan&#8217;s time for now, the 50-year-old didn&#8217;t rule out a potential return to public office in the future.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Former Ohio Rep.
