Our military is in trouble, but \u2064the \u2064commander-in-chief and\u200d his allies don\u2019t \u2063seem to care.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Drag Queens and Diversity<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla.,\u2062 questioned Defense Secretary\u2063 Lloyd Austin about a slew of military drag queen events\u2063 and\u2062 \u201cstory hours\u201d for children on military bases.\u200b And while Austin <a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/policy\/defense\/4032443-pentagon-bans-drag-shows-on-military-bases-after-gop-pressure\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">delivered on his commitment to end the drag shows,<\/a> the\u2063 administration\u2019s statement opposes legislation to \u200dcodify that policy.<\/p>\n<p>Austin was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2023\/07\/21\/biden-franchetti-navy-joint-chiefs-00107699\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">overruled again<\/a> \u2063when he recommended\u2064 Adm. Samuel Paparo, an \u200cofficer with\u2063 extensive operational experience, to be the next chief of naval operations (CNO).\u200c Instead, President Biden <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2023\/07\/21\/biden-pick-female-admiral-top-navy-officer-going-defense-department-recommendation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">nominated<\/a> Adm. Lisa Franchetti to be the \u2062first female \u2064CNO.<\/p>\n<p>Franchetti has \u200bserved admirably\u2063 in all her duty assignments, but her \u2063 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.americanthinker.com\/articles\/2023\/05\/who_will_be_the_next_chief_of_naval_operations.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">minimal\u2062 record<\/a> of \u2062command experience does not meet the demanding requirements for anyone \u200cleading the Navy\u2019s three communities \u2014 aviation, submarines, and surface warfare \u2014 all of which \u200dare facing belligerent adversaries.<\/p>\n<p>According to \u2062a Politico <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2023\/07\/21\/biden-franchetti-navy-joint-chiefs-00107699\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u201cinside\u201d story<\/a>, presidents do not usually \u201chand-pick\u201d CNO nominees. Perhaps \u2063Biden was influenced by diversity, equity, \u2064and inclusion (DEI) \u201cexperts\u201d in the \u2064White House, operating under <a href=\"https:\/\/www.federalregister.gov\/documents\/2023\/02\/22\/2023-03779\/further-advancing-racial-equity-and-support-for-underserved-communities-through-the-federal\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Executive Order 14091<\/a>, signed this past February.<\/p>\n<p>As the Center for Military \u2064Readiness <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/04\/20\/bidens-racial-equity-order-threatens-the-meritocracy-that-makes-our-military-great\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reported<\/a> in April, Executive Order 14091 authorized a small army\u2063 of\u200d highly paid DEI experts, consultants, equity teams, and advisory committees, \u2064all promoting the rights of \u201cunderserved\u200d communities\u201d \u2014 \u200bnot including white males.<\/p>\n<p>The House NDAA seeks\u2063 to <a href=\"http:\/\/cmrlink.org\/data\/sites\/85\/CMRDocuments\/NDAA%20Progress%20Report03_072423.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">dismantle<\/a> this \u200b<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/bidens-racial-equity-order-threatens-the-meritocracy-that-makes-our-military-great\/\" title=\"Biden\u2019s \u2018Racial Equity\u2019 Order Threatens The Meritocracy That Makes Our Military Great\">diversity-industrial complex<\/a>, including chief diversity officers who are empowered to review assignments and promotions \u2064to meet percentage-based demographic quotas.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Discrimination and Trans Insanity<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The administration \u2062also seeks\u200d to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/republicans-must-stand-strong-on-the-ndaa-amid-bidens-woke-war-on-the-military\/\" title=\"Republicans must remain steadfast in their support of the NDAA amidst Biden's divisive actions against the military.\">defeat measures codifying merit-based \u200dprinciples<\/a> in military accessions, assignments, and promotions. What\u2019s more, they oppose efforts \u2063to end \u200dracial discrimination at the military service academies, but the House\u200c NDAA <a href=\"http:\/\/www.congress.gov\/118\/bills\/hr2670\/BILLS-118hr2670rh.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">calls<\/a> for cadets, midshipmen, and \u2062other personnel to be \u200bevaluated \u200cbased on \u201cqualifications, performance, integrity, fitness, training, and conduct\u201d rather than \u201cfavoritism,\u201d\u200c \u201cnepotism,\u201d or quotas.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, the Senate Armed Services Committee-passed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.congress.gov\/bill\/118th-congress\/senate-bill\/2226\/text\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">version<\/a> (soon to be taken up on the floor) states \u2064that all DOD personnel actions\u2062 \u201cshall be based exclusively on\u2064 individual merit and demonstrated performance.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The administration opposes these reasonable\u200b provisions, along with NDAA provisions addressing transgender policies that came up during a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.armed-services.senate.gov\/imo\/media\/doc\/transcript_71123.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">confirmation hearing<\/a> on\u2063 July 11.<\/p>\n<p>Sen. Mike Rounds, R-S.D., spoke to \u200dAir Force Gen. Charles Q. Brown Jr. \u2014 nominated to be\u200b the next chairman of the\u2063 Joint\u200b Chiefs of Staff \u2014 about his response to the situation in which a South Dakota female National Guard boot camp \u2063trainee was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/media\/female-recruit-considered-resigning-being-forced-shower-trans-women-full-male-genitalia\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">forced to live in open-bay barracks and \u200dshower with physically intact \u2063biological \u2064men<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Brown said\u200b he would <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rounds.senate.gov\/newsroom\/press-releases\/rounds-questions-top-general-about-woke-dod-policies-that-forced-young-female-sd-national-guard-recruit-to-shower-with-biological-males\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u201clook at\u201d<\/a> the situation and do \u2062what he has always done when personnel feel uncomfortable \u2064\u2014 in other words, an\u200d admission that\u2064 nothing will change.<\/p>\n<p>Multiple times in only 22 pages, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.esd.whs.mil\/Portals\/54\/Documents\/DD\/issuances\/dodi\/130028p.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">DOD Instruction 1300.28, \u201cIn-Service Transition for Transgender \u200cService Members,\u201d<\/a> states that a \u200dservice member whose \u200bgender marker has been changed \u2064\u201cwill use those \u2062berthing, bathroom, and \u2064shower facilities associated with his\u2064 or \u2062her gender marker in DEERS [Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System].\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/02\/24\/biden-pentagon-orders-military-chaplains-to-bless-putting-male-soldiers-in-female-showers-and-bedrooms\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Training vignettes<\/a> clearly indicate \u2063that \u200dmilitary women who feel uncomfortable with physically\u2062 intact men in their showers are\u200c just\u200c supposed to get used \u200dto it. So much for \u2063the administration statement claiming \u200dthey are \u201cdeveloping and maintaining a dignified, respectful, and safe workplace.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Covid and CRT Mandates<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Several NDAA measures to \u200crepair the damage done to \u200dindividuals under Covid-19 \u200dmandates \u200care on the administration\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/H.R.-2670-NDAA.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">hit list<\/a>. This uncaring posture \u200creveals\u2062 White House spokesman John Kirby\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.msn.com\/en-us\/news\/world\/kirby-says-the-pentagon-has-a-sacred-obligation-to-kill-unborn-babies\/ar-AA1e1V4R?ocid=msedgntp&#038;cvid=6ddc84814d024df39fc992648f23ef1f&#038;ei=10\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">disingenuous assertion<\/a> that taking \u201ccare\u201d of military men and women, especially those seeking subsidized abortions, is a \u201csacred\u201d duty\u200b of the Department of Defense.<\/p>\n<p>On <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/white-house-releases-list-of-president-trumps-accomplishments-and-it-is-historic\/\" title=\"White House Releases List of President Trump\u2019s Accomplishments \u2013  And It Is Historic!\">critical race theory<\/a> (CRT)\u2062 instructions, the administration opposes <a href=\"https:\/\/armedservices.house.gov\/sites\/republicans.armedservices.house.gov\/files\/FY24%20NDAA%20Summary.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">House NDAA measures<\/a> to defund CRT \u2064programs <a href=\"http:\/\/amendments-rules.house.gov\/amendments\/CRANAZ_015_xml230630144539535.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">that \u200dteach military<\/a> personnel <a href=\"http:\/\/amendments-rules.house.gov\/amendments\/ROYTX_100_xml230629172333212.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">and children<\/a> that any race \u200cis superior or inferior to any other. It would also \u200dprevent skewed teaching of American history \u2014 children should not be subject to the lie that the United States is a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/prageru-what-are-your-kids-learning-in-school\/\" title=\"PragerU: What Are Your Kids Learning In School?\">fundamentally racist country<\/a> with racist founding documents.<\/p>\n<p>The policy statement affirms administration \u200bsupport for divisive, demoralizing CRT instructions. Consistent with woke ideology, the administration likely will oppose late-arriving House legislation barring\u200b <a href=\"http:\/\/amendments-rules.house.gov\/amendments\/Norman%20NDAA%20-%20Flags230705144117447.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u201cunapproved flags\u201d<\/a> (think\u2064 \u201cpride progress\u201d banners) waving over\u2062 military \u200bposts and ships.<\/p>\n<p>The\u2062 Biden \u200dadministration\u2019s goal is to reaffirm and expand wokeism in the military. They\u2062 aim\u2062 to take \u201cprogressive\u201d policies to extremes and impose them with coercion, even if it hurts the institution.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Changing the Military\u200c Climate<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>It\u200d is no surprise then, that\u200c the administration <a href=\"http:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/H.R.-2670-NDAA.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">opposes<\/a> \u200d NDAA provisions that would pull the military back from extreme climate\u200c change measures, including extensive\u200c electrification of military vehicles and costly regulations \u2064on DOD contractors regarding <a href=\"http:\/\/armedservices.house.gov\/sites\/republicans.armedservices.house.gov\/files\/FY24%20NDAA%20Summary.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u201cgreenhouse\u200c gas\u200d emissions.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Biden\u2019s people also want the military to \u2063pursue high <a href=\"https:\/\/cmrlink.org\/data\/sites\/85\/CMRDocuments\/NDAA%20Progress%20Report03_072423.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u201cenvironmental, social, and governance\u201d<\/a> (ESG) scores, even though ESG pursuits have \u2063been ruinous for private \u200bcompanies such as Disney\u200b and Bud Light, and misguided nations like <a href=\"https:\/\/spectator.org\/sri-lanka-woke-green\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Sri \u2062Lanka<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/townhall.com\/columnists\/gabriellahoffman\/2022\/08\/20\/high-esg-scores-foreshadow-economic-decline-n2612024\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Netherlands<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Biden administration\u2019s leftist positions are crystal\u200d clear, and left-wing\u200c lawmakers insist that the \u2063<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/hispanic-caucus-takes-aim-at-african-american-veterans-service-on-key-panel\/\" title=\"Hispanic Caucus Takes Aim at African-American Veteran\u2019s Service on Key Panel\">annual defense bill<\/a> will not pass unless negotiators remove the targeted measures.
