Robert Oppenheimer<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The 3-hour \u200dmovie details the life of nuclear physicist J. Robert Oppenheimer, the so-called \u201cfather of the atomic bomb.\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/topic\/hollywood\">Set designers<\/a> \u2064 took care to \u2064recreate the look and feel\u2063 of the \u200dearly 1940s,\u200b which is when most of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/how-disneys-wokeness-makes-jungle-cruise-stale\/\" title=\"How Disney\u2019s Wokeness Makes \u2018Jungle Cruise\u2019 Stale\">action takes place<\/a>, \u200cbut some observant \u2062viewers couldn\u2019t help but notice one small error.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>A Historical Error<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">During one scene when Oppenheimer, played by Irish actor Cillian \u200dMurphy, stands in front of a cheering crowd,\u200c observers noticed that the \u2062American flags the people were waving have\u2063 fifty stars like they do today. This \u2063appears to be an error because \u200dHawaii and \u2063Alaska \u2063were not added as states until 1959.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">A post from fan \u2064Andy Craig about the\u2064 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/oppenheimer-viewers-point-out-historical-mistake-fans-speculate-on-whether-it-was-intentional\/\" title=\"'Oppenheimer' viewers spot historical error, fans question intent.\">alleged mistake quickly<\/a> went viral on\u200c social media. He is \u2018mostly\u2019 British,\u2062 after all,\u201d\u200b that reviewer <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ShannonNutt\/status\/1683133508640727040\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">shared<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Some fans came to Nolan\u2019s defense,\u2063 saying the addition of \u200dthe\u200d fifty-star flag may have \u2062been intentional. They noted how the historically accurate flag is present in a different scene from the same time period.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cI \u200bcan argue that this is done intentionally as the colored scenes were from Oppenheimer\u2019s perspective, while the black and white scenes were from another.
