They plan to \u2062submit an invoice to\u2064 Trump, outlining charges for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/house-votes-on-major-security-upgrade-will-fine-members-5k-for-bypassing-metal-detectors\/\" title=\"House Votes On Major Security Upgrade, Will Fine Members K For Bypassing Metal Detectors\">security detail<\/a> and overtime\u200b costs for extra security provided by the\u2064 Erie Police Department. It&#8217;s worth noting \u2062that Trump still owes $35,000 from his \u2063previous rally, where he campaigned for midterm candidates.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>&#8220;I think we \u2064have to try,&#8221; says Erie \u200bMayor Joe Schember. \u200b&#8221;We are going to see whether we can get some payment from them\u2063 in advance this time. It&#8217;s important to do this because we&#8217;re talking about taxpayer money \u200dbeing used to help make the former president&#8217;s visit safer.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Back in October 2018, Trump held an event at the Erie Insurance Arena, just a month before the midterm elections. Now, he plans to \u2062return to\u200d the \u2062same\u2062 location for his upcoming \u2062rally. However, it remains unclear whether the expenses\u200c will be higher than \u2062they were five years ago.<\/p>\n<p>The\u2063 city officials have previously urged Trump to\u2063 reimburse them for the \u200c2018 \u200devent,\u200d but their requests have gone unanswered. It&#8217;s\u2064 unclear how the city will respond if\u200d Trump fails to pay this time or how they\u2064 will enforce reimbursement.<\/p>\n<p>As of now, it&#8217;s uncertain whether Trump\u2063 intends to pay the city \u200cbefore his arrival this weekend.
