The policy, had imposed limitations on migrants seeking asylum, but offer\u200b plenty of exceptions and do not apply to children that are \u200dtraveling alone.<\/p>\n<p>The \u200cimmigrant rights group, American Civil \u2064Liberties Union (ACLU), sued the administration arguing that\u2062 it is a violation of U.S. law,\u200c which protects the right to asylum \u200cno matter how the\u200b migrants\u200d enter the country. The rights groups \u200dsaid that the Biden administration rules force migrants to look for protection in \u2062countries that don\u2019t have the same asylum \u2064system and\u200b <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/meet-gegi-the-unicorn-schools-are-using-to-turn-young-children-into-trans-activists\/\" title=\"Meet \u2018Gegi,\u2019 The Unicorn Schools Are Using To Turn Young Children Into Trans Activists\">human rights protections<\/a>\u200c that the United \u2063States has.<\/p>\n<p>The ACLU also\u200d argued\u2064 that the CBP One app, that the administration has been \u200dutilizing at the border in order to\u200b process migrants faster and to book\u2062 appointments over the internet, is not \u2063feasible. They said that \u200bthe app does not have enough appointment slots, \u2063and that it is not\u2062 available\u2062 in enough\u2062 languages.<\/p>\n<p>The judge agreed\u200b and said that it is not feasible\u200d for\u2062 migrants to seek protection in a transit country\u200c and that migrants face violence\u2062 as they travel,\u2063 particularly\u200d in Mexico.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>\u201cThe Rule \u2014 which has been in \u2062effect for \u200dtwo months \u2014 cannot remain in place,\u201d Tigar wrote in\u200c his order. \u201cWhile they wait for an adjudication, applicants for asylum must remain in Mexico, \u2062where migrants are generally\u2062 at heightened risk of violence \u2064by both state and non-state actors.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Tigar\u2062 also said that the\u2062 rule\u200c is \u200billegal \u200dbecause it brands \u200dthose who cross at any place in between <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/federal-judge-blocks-biden-asylum-policy\/\" title=\"Biden's Asylum Policy Blocked by Federal Judge.\">legal border crossings \u2064ineligible<\/a> for asylum. He explained that Congress has specifically said that the crossing point should not affect \u2062whether someone is \u2063eligible for \u200casylum.<\/p>\n<p>The\u200c judge had blocked a similar policy during the Trump administration. Immigrant advocates had been pushing \u200chim to also block the current policy.<\/p>\n<p>Last\u200d week, a Justice Department lawyer argued that the current policy is different from \u200dthe Trump-era policy\u200b because it\u200d is paired with new pathways\u2063 for migrants who are \u200dseeking protection, including, and primarily, the CBP \u2063One app.<\/p>\n<p>The\u200b Biden policies have also\u200b been challenged by Republican led\u2064 states, although Republicans argued \u200dthe opposite point \u200dof\u200b judge Tigar, saying that immigration authorities have\u200d been releasing too \u2064many \u2064migrants into the country.<\/p>\n<p>The \u200dACLU applauded \u2062the decision by Tigar.
