That number taken by itself shows Democrats with an advantage \u200dover House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA), who reported a $21.7 million second quarter fundraising haul \u2064just one week earlier.<\/p>\n<p>Democrats were\u2062 quick to jump on those numbers, citing them\u2063 as evidence of\u2062 greater fundraising strength compared to their GOP counterparts. However, a procedural\u200b difference in how each party tallies its fundraising has resulted in dueling\u200b reports \u2014 prompting Republicans to accuse Democrats \u2064of artificially inflating their \u200bnumbers.<\/p>\n<p>When internally calculating fundraising numbers, Jeffries\u2019s team will attribute money to the\u200d House minority\u2062 leader if \u200cit was raised at a major campaign event with the Democratic Congressional\u2063 Campaign Committee where he\u2062 played a major role to boost a \u200bcertain \u200ccandidate. However, those numbers are not attributed in Jeffries\u2019s public disclosures \u200cas\u200d they\u2064 were not directly \u2062raised by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/schiff-nadler-call-flynn-pardon-abuse-of-power\/\" title=\"Schiff, Nadler Call Flynn Pardon 'Abuse of Power'\">minority leader<\/a> himself; \u2063rather, they are included in individual candidates\u2019 statements.<\/p>\n<p>That process\u200b deviates from \u2064how McCarthy\u2019s team tabulates\u2064 such numbers.
