The \u200banswer remains the same. \u2062The president was never in business with his\u2064 son.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2-long d-flex justify-content-center\" style=\"margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center; \" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-1125648210\">\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1379703300879-0\" class=\"mb-30\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-ceaa621a0d9f882ef90f21fbc609eabb fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-ceaa621a0d9f882ef90f21fbc609eabb\"><\/div>\n<p>You can already hear Clintonesque \u200csemantics creeping\u200b into the White House\u2019s \u200canswers. \u2064Joe Biden is\u200b going to end up doing to the \u200dword \u201cbusiness\u201d what Bill\u2063 Clinton did to the word \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/edition.cnn.com\/ALLPOLITICS\/1998\/08\/17\/time\/clinton.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">sex<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>First, Jean-Pierre didn\u2019t answer the\u200c question, which isn\u2019t whether Biden \u200bwas \u201cin business\u201d with his son, but rather whether he was \u201cinvolved\u201d\u200c in the\u2062 business or\u2062 spoke to \u200chis son about\u200c it. Whatever Democrats might believe, Joe failing to list \u2063himself as the Founder and CEO \u200bof the Biden family\u200b enterprise\u200b on a business card isn\u2019t dispositive.<\/p>\n<p>Secondly, Jean-Pierre\u2019s answer\u2063 is <em>very much<\/em> not the \u201csame\u201d one she or the president have given\u200d a million times \u2014\u200b or \u2063ever,\u2062 as \u2063far as I\u200d can tell.<\/p>\n<p>Remember when \u2063that\u200c <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/we-spent-the-day-hearing-from-quite-a-few-old-college-classmates-tucker-says-wapo-looking-for-dirt-on-him\/\" title=\"\u2018We Spent The Day Hearing From Quite A Few Old College Classmates\u2019: Tucker Says WaPo Looking For Dirt On Him\">middle-aged man<\/a> in Iowa \u200basked Biden if\u2064 Hunter had \u201caccess to the Obama administration,\u201d and the future president called him a \u201cdamn \u2062liar\u201d and \u201cfat\u201d and told him he was \u201ctoo old to vote for me\u201d and then insulted his IQ (<a href=\"https:\/\/news.yahoo.com\/secret-life-joe-biden-153031674.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">a classic<\/a>) and challenged him to push-up contest like a deranged <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=pcFSOnumgZA\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Izzy Mandelbaum<\/a>?<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-b1b0e9ac586d3f36ac01ff08c042a676 fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-6\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-b1b0e9ac586d3f36ac01ff08c042a676\"><\/div>\n<p>Yeah, that was just one in \u2064a \u2062series of\u2063 instances that Biden lashed out at those \u200cwho wondered how his family was pulling in millions \u200cwithout leveraging \u200caccess to the White House.<\/p>\n<p>When \u200cBiden was asked if, knowing what he knows now,\u200d he regretted not discouraging his son \u2062from doing business with Ukrainian oil concerns, \u200cthe\u2064 then-candidate <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/politics\/diplomat-tells-investigators-he-raised-alarms-in-2015-about-hunter-bidens-ukraine-work-but-was-rebuffed\/2019\/10\/18\/81e35be9-4f5a-4048-8520-0baabb18ab63_story.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">snapped<\/a> back:\u2062 \u201cNo. No, I don\u2019t, because I never discussed with my son anything having to\u2064 do with what was going on in Ukraine. \u2062That\u2019s a fact.\u201d \u200bA\u200d few weeks earlier, Biden\u2064 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-7579747\/Joe-Biden-calls-Donald-Trump-Rudy-Giuliani-thugs-defends-son-Hunter-debate.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">said<\/a> that \u201cI never discussed a single thing with my son about anything having to do with Ukraine. No one has indicated I have. We\u2019ve always kept everything separate.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The White House\u2019s definitive <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/politics\/2022\/03\/30\/hunter-biden-china-laptop\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">answer<\/a> until very recently was that Joe had \u201cnever even\u2063 considered being involved in business with his family, nor in \u200cany <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/michael-goodwin-joe-biden-flying-too-close-to-the-son\/\" title=\"Michael Goodwin: Joe Biden Flying too Close to the Son\">overseas business whatsoever<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In numerous emails and texts that he never thought would be\u200d made public, Hunter\u200b Biden openly <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2021\/11\/29\/joe-biden-expected-10-percent-cut-in-deal-with-a-chinese-giant\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">talked about<\/a> his dad helping him secure payments and taking \u2063a cut for himself. Hunter\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/hunter-biden-tony-bobulinski-former-business-partner-grand-jury\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">former<\/a> business\u2062 partner also contends\u200b that Joe\u200d was involved in\u200b the family business. Hunter\u2019s former close friend \u200cis <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2023\/07\/23\/hunter-biden-put-then-vp-dad-joe-on-the-phone-with-business-associates-at-least-2-dozen-times-ex-partner-devon-archer-to-testify\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reportedly<\/a> going to testify under oath that Biden made at least 24 calls\u2063 for\u2063 the business (there are\u2062 <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/07\/25\/joe-biden-allegedly-interacted-with-sons-clients-more-than-200-times\/\">another<\/a> 200 alleged incidents of\u2064 contact). An FBI informant <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/07\/20\/heres-everything-in-the-damning-fd-1023-document-that-implicates-biden-in-an-international-bribery-scheme\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">says<\/a> Biden\u200c was pressuring foreign companies to send millions to the family business. An\u2064 IRS whistleblower in charge of investigating Hunter Biden\u2019s tax\u2064 case <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/07\/20\/its-increasingly-clear-the-feds-were-protecting-joe-biden-not-hunter\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">testified<\/a> under oath that not only was Joe Biden present at least \u200cone\u2063 meeting, but that the Justice Department wouldn\u2019t let the agency investigate Joe\u2019s role.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-72218211dba713d021bd64e56f10493c fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-10\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-72218211dba713d021bd64e56f10493c\"><\/div>\n<p>That\u2019s <em>a lot<\/em> of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/the-best-case-scenario-in-the-biden-inc-scandal-is-bad-enough\/\" title=\"The Biden Inc. scandal's best-case scenario is still quite troubling.\">compelling \u200bcircumstantial evidence<\/a>. Why would all these people make the same claims about Joe \u200bBiden \u2062helping his son and brother \u2014\u2062 sometimes years before they knew \u2063he would stumble into the presidency?<\/p>\n<p>One \u2064suspects we\u2019re only a \u200cfew\u2062 weeks away from hearing that none of these revelations matter since \u2063none\u2064 of it was\u200b technically\u2062 illegal. So, let\u2019s concede\u2062 the point for\u200d argument\u2019s sake. Donald \u200cTrump did nothing technically illegal when pressing Volodymyr Zelensky to give him dirt on Biden, either. Yet, it \u200dwas an impeachable offense.<\/p>\n<p>Even if Joe merely knew about the family business, but wasn\u2019t \u201cin business,\u201d that not only means he spent nearly\u200b a decade aggressively lying about his role but that he knowingly used the\u2063 U.S. \u200bgovernment to help his family \u2064make millions rather\u200b than \u200dstepping aside or dissuading them from taking advantage.<\/p>\n<p>In 2014, when \u200dHunter first became a public issue, the \u2064White House used Democratic Party \u2064front-groups \u2063like \u201cCitizens for Responsibility and \u200bEthics in \u2062Washington\u201d to give Joe and \u200cHunter Biden a \u2062clean bill of\u200d health. \u201cIt can\u2019t be that because your\u200d dad \u2064is\u2063 the vice president, you can\u2019t do anything,\u201d Melanie \u200bSloan, executive \u2064director, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/article\/usa-biden-son-ukraine\/white-house-says-no-issue-with-bidens-son-ukraine-gas-company-idINL1N0NZ2AA20140513\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">told<\/a> Reuters. \u201cThe most important \u2062thing is for\u200c Biden not to be speaking about\u2062 these issues \u200dwith his dad,\u200d and for them to try and draw the\u2064 lines.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>If Joe was speaking to his son \u2014 literally <em>the most important thing<\/em> \u2062he shouldn\u2019t be \u2062doing \u2014 and then, say, \u200bknowingly blackmailed the Ukrainian government into firing a prosecutor investigating a \u200ccompany sending his family hundreds of thousands of \u200cdollars, that would be a corrupt conflict of \u2063interest, at\u200c the very least.<\/p>\n<p>Among the contents of Hunter\u2019s\u2063 laptop \u2014 which FBI and other intel officials knew \u200cwas\u200b real\u200d but still tried to suppress \u2014 <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2020\/10\/14\/email-reveals-how-hunter-biden-introduced-ukrainian-biz-man-to-dad\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">is\u200b an email<\/a> from a Burisma official thanking Hunter for brokering \u2063a \u2062meeting between \u2062himself and Joe Biden while the latter was still\u2064 vice president. Why would the \u2064guy make that up? Yet, even in 2019, Biden was bragging \u2064about his ability to withhold a billion dollars \u200bin aid to Ukraine.<\/p>\n<p>Even Obama-era \u200bdiplomats <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/politics\/diplomat-tells-investigators-he-raised-alarms-in-2015-about-hunter-bidens-ukraine-work-but-was-rebuffed\/2019\/10\/18\/81e35be9-4f5a-4048-8520-0baabb18ab63_story.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">raised<\/a> alarms \u2062over Hunter at the\u200b time. Obama officials <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/republican-probe-finds-hunter-bidens-ukraine-work-raised-concerns-with-obama-officials-11600859178?mod=mktw&#038;adobe_mc=MCMID%3D42015057830563893093283662016377594980%7CMCORGID%3DCB68E4BA55144CAA0A4C98A5%2540AdobeOrg%7CTS%3D1603294085\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">worried<\/a> about Hunter\u200c \u2013\u2062 who <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/politics\/2020-election\/biden-s-trip-china-son-hunter-2013-comes-under-new-n1061051\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">accompanied<\/a> \u2062 his dad\u2062 on an Air Force Two \u200cflight to China in 2013,\u200c where he <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nationalreview.com\/2020\/10\/new-twist-in-the-hunter-biden-saga-a-white-house-meeting-for-elite-chinese-group\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reportedl<\/a>y facilitated a meeting for his dad with Chicom billionaires \u200din Beijing \u2014 and yet the \u200bvice president didn\u2019t even try, \u200daccording to his own words, to dissuade his family \u2064from \u2063making millions on these connections he helps solidify.<\/p>\n<p>Now, I don\u2019t want to get carried\u200b away with cynicism, but I\u2019m going to go out\u2062 on a limb and contend that Hunter Biden earned \u200bhis $17 million \u2064in foreign investments much as he did $1.3 million from\u200d selling art. And Joe, at the\u2064 very \u2064least, knew and helped Hunter, anyway.\u2064 \u201cIn business\u201d or only business adjacent, it\u2019s corrupt.<\/p>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\">\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Karine Jean-Pierre was questioned about the White House&#8217;s support for the president&#8217;s statement on his son&#8217;s business involvement.
