That narrative, of course, was designed to \u2064fuel \u200cthe impeachment passed by House Democrats weeks later.<\/p>\n<p>Trump released the transcript of his call in question \u200cimmediately after an <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2019\/09\/26\/complaint-from-so-called-whistleblower-is-riddled-with-gossip-blatant-falsehoods\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">anonymous<\/a> White\u200d House whistleblower filed a gossip-ridden complaint, with help\u200c from some of the same <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2019\/10\/02\/breaking-anti-trump-whistleblower-colluded-with-house-democrats-before-filing-complaint\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">corrupt\u200b actors<\/a> who pushed\u200b the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/nolte-without-proof-feds-accuse-zero-hedge-of-russian-collaboration\/\" title=\"Nolte: Without Proof, Feds Accuse Zero Hedge of Russian Collaboration\">deep state conspiracy<\/a> to smear\u2062 the president as a Russian agent during and after the 2016 election. The whistleblower, \u2063whose identity remained <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2020\/02\/04\/watch-rand-paul-explains-significance-of-the-question-john-roberts-suppressed\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">protected<\/a> by the press and congressional Democrats\u200c throughout the entire saga, was identified as Eric \u2064Ciaramella by RealClearInvestigations.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>According to Trump\u2019s opponents, \u200bthe transcript of \u2062the call revealed the commander-in<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/after-running-trump-impeachment-info-op-media-rush-to-bury-evidence-of-biden-bribery-business\/\" title=\"Media hides evidence of Biden bribery after running Trump impeachment info op.\">-chief exploiting presidential privileges<\/a> \u2062to pressure a foreign\u200b government into \u2062investigating a top political \u200bopponent. Trump, the story went, unilaterally held $400 million in\u200c military aid until Zelensky\u2063 pledged to\u200b investigate Joe and Hunter Biden\u2019s activities in Ukraine.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>California Rep. Nancy Pelosi, who presided over the House as speaker \u2062during both impeachments, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-12328883\/Nancy-Pelosi-accuses-Speaker-McCarthy-playing-politics-weighing-expunging-Donald-Trumps-impeachment.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">said<\/a> on CNN\u2019s State of the Union Sunday that \u201cwhen the president made that phone call in\u2064 terms\u2062 of Ukraine, there was no choice.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe must be impeached,\u201d Pelosi said.<\/p>\n<p>In other words, as soon as Trump even broached the subject of Biden family corruption to the Kyiv regime, Democrats knew they had to launch a preemptive \u200cimpeachment. Biden\u2019s business \u200cdealings were not to be investigated. It was Trump that \u200cDemocrats needed to indict.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Even when the \u200ctranscript\u2019s release \u200crevealed a story far different than the fabricated tale peddled by the whistleblower, The New York \u2064Times and The Washington \u200dPost were quick to slice\u200d and dice the transcript\u200d to accuse Trump \u2064of requesting a favor that\u200c he never asked for.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cTrump offered Justice\u2019s aid for\u2062 a probe of Biden,\u201d read the front page of \u200dthe Washington Post.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTrump asked for \u2018favor\u2019 in call, memo shows,\u201d\u200c The New York Times declared.<\/p>\n<p>The two papers erased or \u200cminimized entire portions of the transcript to connect \u201cfavor\u201d to demands about looking into the Democrat president\u2019s son. CNN and the\u200d rest of the legacy media followed suit, fanning the flames of an \u2062impeachment showdown Democrats had \u200cdemanded from the day Trump \u200btook the oath\u2063 of office.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>The \u201cfavor\u201d Trump requested was help with\u200d the Justice Department\u2019s\u200d probe\u2063 into 2016 election interference by\u200c Ukraine. Nowhere in the unclassified and unredacted transcript did Trump demand Zelensky investigate \u2064former Vice President Joe Biden or Hunter Biden\u2062 in\u2063 an apparent \u201cquid pro quo\u201d\u200d for military aid.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h2>A Different Standard for\u2063 the Bidens<\/h2>\n<p>Fast-forward\u200c four years later, and the press seems \u2062uninterested\u2062 in probing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/breaking-ag-barr-authorizes-federal-prosecutors-to-pursue-substantial-allegations-of-voting-irregularities-before-2020-election-is-certified\/\" title=\"BREAKING: AG Barr Authorizes Federal Prosecutors to Pursue \"Substantial Allegations\" of Voting Irregularities Before 2020 Election is Certified\">credible allegations<\/a> of a legitimate\u200d quid pro quo that involves\u2063 Trump\u2019s Democrat successor.<\/p>\n<p>Last week, Iowa Republican Sen. Chuck \u2063Grassley released an <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/06\/16\/everything-we-know-about-the-biden-bribery-scheme-from-the-fbi-document\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">FD-1023<\/a> \u200cdocument housed by the FBI that implicates President Biden in a $10 million bribery scheme with Ukrainian energy executive Mykola Zlochevsky. Hunter Biden served on the board of Zlochevsky\u2019s firm, \u200dBurisma, raking in a salary far above comparable \u2063board compensation despite having\u2062 no prior industry experience. Another Burisma executive was quoted \u200din the FD-1023 document \u2062saying the firm had \u2063hired Hunter to \u201cprotect us, through his dad, from all kinds of\u2063 problems.\u201d \u200dIn 2018, Joe\u200c Biden bragged about bribing\u200b Ukraine to\u200b fire the country\u2019s top prosecutor, who was investigating Burisma.<\/p>\n<p>The FD-1023\u2019s release last week escalated calls from Republicans to impeach the sitting president. House Speaker Kevin McCarthy said Monday the\u200c evidence against the Bien family\u200d \u201cis rising to the level of impeachment inquiry.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s surprising\u2062 that the speaker isn\u2019t already there.<\/p>\n<p>In contrast to the single anonymous whistleblower \u2064whose claims kicked off Trump\u2019s\u200c first impeachment, multiple people\u200c have corroborated details of Biden family corruption. Two whistleblowers from the \u2063Internal Revenue Service\u200b (IRS) have gone on record to claim federal tax investigators were left in the dark by the Justice Department about the\u200c document alleging \u200ca \u2064<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/mccarthy-promises-impeachment-proceedings-await-merrick-garland-if-hes-found-to-have-lied-2\/\" title=\"McCarthy vows impeachment if Garland is proven to have lied.\">bribery\u2062 scheme<\/a>. Federalist Senior Legal Correspondent Margot Cleveland reported Monday that the FBI told the Delaware U.S. attorney\u2019s \u200doffice investigating Hunter \u2063that the bureau had corroborated certain details\u200d from the FD-1023 document. The\u2062 form itself, Cleveland \u200dreported, is just the tip of the iceberg.<\/p>\n<p>The lead stories from The New York Times and The \u2063Washington Post,\u2064 however, are not focused on the credible allegations of bribery, the more than\u200d 200 alleged interactions between Joe Biden and his son\u2019s business partners, or \u2064the bombshell testimony from veteran IRS whistleblowers \u2064who testified publicly. Instead, Monday\u2019s lineup included a story in The New York \u200dTimes about how the\u2064 pair\u200d of IRS\u200d whistleblowers were prepped by former Grassley staffers (who\u2019ve also worked for Democrats) and a column in \u2064The \u2064Washington Post about Republican efforts to \u201cimpugn Biden.\u201d On Tuesday, readers had to\u2062 scroll to the\u200d politics pages of each paper to find anything about the president\u2019s\u2064 Ukrainian scandals. Even then,\u2064 readers\u2064 were met\u2063 with skepticism of Republican charges instead of the \u200bpro-impeachment coverage that defined the\u200d corporate media\u2019s approach to the \u2062Trump administration.<\/p>\n<p><strong>[READ:[READ:<a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/06\/08\/nothing-to-see-here-but-a-credible-whistleblower-accusing-the-president-of-bribery\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Nothing To See Here But A Credible \u200bWhistleblower Accusing \u200cThe President Of\u200b Bribery<\/a>]<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cTrump wanted Ukraine to impugn Biden. D.C. Republicans finally delivered,\u201d was \u2064the full headline of Monday\u2019s Washington Post piece, written by Philip Bump.<\/p>\n<p>Bump complained about Grassley waiting months to release \u200bthe FD-1023 after revealing the document\u2019s existence in\u200d May. Of course, Bump glossed over the entire fight between the FBI and the House Oversight \u2064Committee to allow members to even view the document. The\u200b back-and-forth led Chairman James Comer\u200c of\u2064 Kentucky to trigger contempt proceedings for FBI Director Christopher \u2064Wray before the \u2063agency ultimately\u200d capitulated.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSince then, nothing much has changed,\u201d Bump wrote, except of course the whistleblower testimony about the \u2064document, and credible\u2062 corroboration of \u2063key details from multiple sources.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe learned that the informant is\u200b considered credible, given their history, but\u2064 that of course \u2062doesn\u2019t extend to the\u200c executive with whom the informant was \u200bspeaking,\u201d Bump added, with a complete lack of \u2064journalistic curiosity.\u200d Bump dismissed Cleveland\u2019s Monday reporting as a \u201crhetorical leap\u201d from a \u201cright-wing blog.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The New York Times and The Washington Post\u2062 were never going to \u2064approach the Biden administration \u200bthe same way they\u200b and the rest of \u200cthe\u200d press \u2062covered Trump.
