A new report challenges the truthfulness of those comments.<br \/>\n\u200d\n  <\/p>\n<p>    Not only do the Bidens know at least two of the individuals who purchased some of Hunter\u2019s \u2064paintings, \u200dbut one of them, Elizabeth Hirsh Naftali, was \u2062appointed to a glamorous federal commission not \u2063long after buying the\u2064 first son\u2019s art, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.businessinsider.com\/hunter-biden-joe-artwork-berges-gallery-elizabeth-hirsh-naftali-2023-7\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Business Insider<\/em><\/a>  \u2064 reports. The other buyer\u2064 is Kevin Morris, the \u2062Los Angeles attorney \u2064who has reportedly lent Hunter at\u2064 least $2 million for his back taxes, child support, \u2064and living expenses for his lavish home in Los \u2062Angeles.\u2064 The <em>New York Times<\/em> reported that Morris, who is open\u2062 about owning the art, received several\u2062 paintings as a gift.\n  <\/p>\n<p>    President Joe Biden appointed Naftali,\u2062 a Los Angeles-based real estate investor, to the Commission\u200b for the \u200bPreservation of America\u2019s Heritage\u2063 Abroad\u2014a federal agency that oversees the preservation of European historical sites\u2014in July 2022. Her appointment came just nine months\u2063 after Hunter Biden\u2019s first art show. Naftali has\u200d donated at least\u2064 $13,414 to\u2062 President Joe Biden\u2019s campaign, and another $29,700 to the \u2063Democratic National Committee this year. She previously hosted a fundraiser\u200d that included Vice President Kamala Harris\u200d in 2022.\n  <\/p>\n<p>    \u2062 The <em>Insider<\/em> report is certain to raise a litany of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/ethics-questions-raised-about-bidens-son-in-laws-investments-in-covid-19-response\/\" title=\"Ethics Questions Raised about Biden\u2019s Son-in-Law\u2019s Investments in Covid-19 Response\">ethics questions<\/a> for the president. Although the timing of Naftali\u2019s purchase\u200b is unknown, Hunter has suggested he\u2019s played a hand in \u2062appointments to the Commission for the Preservation of America\u2019s Heritage Abroad.\n  <\/p>\n<p>    \u2064  \u2062In March 2015, \u2064Hunter Biden\u2019s \u200ccousin, Missy Owens, \u2062inquired about whether her \u200cmother could receive a presidential appointment, \u200bemails from a copy of his laptop \u2062show.\n  <\/p>\n<p>    &#8220;I didn\u2019t know she wanted to do that me [sic] of these. Eric asked for one of these the day after the election \u2064in 2008,&#8221; Hunter wrote back. &#8220;You know\u200b better than me what are real and interesting appointments. Let\u2019s go through the \u200clist with Steve and see what makes sense. I don\u2019t know how \u2064much 2016 and nepotism plays into it\u200b.&#8221;<br \/>\n  \u2063\n  <\/p>\n<p>    The &#8220;Eric&#8221; in that \u2063email appears to be Hunter \u2064Biden\u2019s longtime \u2062business associate \u200bEric Schwerin, who was appointed\u2064 to the commission \u2062in 2015.\u2064 President Biden has denied any speaking to his son about &#8220;his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/breaking-secret-service-intervened-in-hunter-biden-gun-incident-lied-on-background-check-form-report-says\/\" title=\"BREAKING: Secret Service Intervened In Hunter Biden Gun Incident; Lied On Background Check Form, Report Says\">overseas business dealings<\/a>,&#8221; although the White House since changed its message to \u200dthe president &#8220;was\u200b never in business with\u200d his son.&#8221;<br \/>\n \u200c\n  <\/p>\n<p>    \u2062 Former White House press secretary Jen Psaki dismissed ethics concerns \u2063about \u2064Hunter\u2019s art career in \u200cJuly 2021, and said that &#8220;any offer out of the normal course would be rejected out of hand.&#8221;<br \/>\n  \u200c\n  <\/p>\n<p>    Hunter Biden\u200d has sold \u2062at least $1.3 million worth of his artwork, according to \u200bdocuments \u2064obtained by <em>Insider<\/em>. One <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/democratic-donor-who-won-plum-biden-appointment-purchased-hunter-bidens-paintings-report\/\" title=\"Democratic donor buys Hunter Biden's paintings, wins Biden appointment: Report.\">anonymous buyer bought 11 pieces<\/a> for nearly $900,000. \u2063That buyer\u2019s identity\u2062 is unknown at this time.\n  <\/p>\n<p>    &#8220;Hunter Biden is a private citizen who is entitled to have his own career as an artist,&#8221; White\u2062 House \u2062spokesman Ian Sams \u200dtold <em>Business Insider<\/em>. &#8220;We are not involved in his art sales, and any buyers of \u2062his art are not disclosed to the White House.&#8221;<br \/>\n\u2062\n  <\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The White House pledged to implement &#8220;reasonable safeguards&#8221; for Hunter Biden&#8217;s artwork sales, as he attended a state dinner with Kevin Morris, the attorney who loaned him money for child support.
