With fewer state employees and appointment time availability, North Carolina DMV\u2019s are now seeing people\u2062 flood into offices \u200bto take care of matters that can be completed more easily online or at a kiosk. <\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>\u201cI came last week to gauge how long it\u2064 was going to \u200dbe. It was a pretty long line, but\u200b I couldn\u2019t get (an) appointment until October,\u201d said resident\u200b Steven Hargrove.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Wayne Goodwin, North Carolina\u2019s DMV Commissioner, announced that, \u201cWe\u2019re launching later this year the first of our\u2062 kiosks\u2026\u200d And that will mean folks won\u2019t have to come physically to the DMV.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Goodwin discussed how the DMV\u2019s new kiosks \u2062could make agency\u200d duties much more straightforward \u2064and user-friendly for people \u2062by making them available in a variety of grocery shops, providing\u200b citizens a larger window of time to access services.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>\u201cThey \u2062go to\u2064 the grocery store and order their DMV service, \u200dtheir renewals or whatever it may \u200bbe, while they\u2019re shopping for groceries,\u201d \u200bGoodwin \u2063said. \u201cWhatever service, most services that you can do, other than taking \u2062your photo, you\u2019ll be able to do at this kiosk, and it will scan your documents, and you\u2019ll \u200cbe able to answer questions and you\u2019ll get a temporary certificate just like you would if you were physically at the DMV.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Stay informed!
