All \u2063because Biden is not doing his job.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Despite a letter from the DOJ last Thursday informing Abbott (R-Texas) of its plan to sue\u2063 Texas for \u2064its deployment of floating barricades at the southern\u200c border, Abbott reaffirmed his\u2063 position in a letter\u200d to President\u2064 Joe Biden\u200b on Monday.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p><strong>\u201cTo end the risk that migrants will be harmed crossing the border illegally, you must fully enforce the laws of the United States that prohibit illegal immigration\u2062 between \u200dports of entry,\u201d<\/strong> Abbott said\u2063 in the letter. <strong>\u201cIn the \u200bmeantime, Texas will fully utilize\u2063 its constitutional authority to \u2062deal with the crisis you have caused. The governor\u2019s actions \u2063are cruel and putting both migrants and border agents in danger.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p><strong>The DOJ has been steadfast\u200b in its threat of\u200c legal action \u2062against the\u2063 state, \u2062citing \u200da clause\u2064 in \u200cfederal law that \u201cprohibits\u200d the creation of\u2064 any obstruction to the navigable capacity of waters of the\u200c United States, and further prohibits building any structure \u200cin such waters without authorization from the United States Army\u2064 Corps of Engineers.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Stay informed!
