Nikki \u200cHaley expressed her support\u200b for former President Donald Trump \u200bif he becomes the 2024 GOP nominee. However, she also \u200cvoiced doubts about his ability to win \u200da general election.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>&#8220;If he gets the nomination, I would support him because I am not going to have a President Kamala Harris,&#8221; Haley stated.\u200c &#8220;We can&#8217;t afford \u2063that. That&#8217;s the problem.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Despite Haley&#8217;s concerns, Trump currently leads the Republican 2024 race in national polls, with a RealClearPolitics\u2062 average showing him at \u206351% among GOP primary voters, while Haley trails \u200dat 3.4%.<\/p>\n<p>Haley also dismissed questions\u2064 about the expanding 2024 GOP field, emphasizing that it is still early\u2063 in the race and more time is needed for the dynamics\u200b to change.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>&#8220;This is a marathon, it&#8217;s not a sprint. We&#8217;re just getting started. This will really start \u2062to shake up post-Labor Day,&#8221; she stated. &#8220;Look back at 2016. \u200bIn July\u2062 of 2015, [Sen. Ted] Cruz had 4% going to Iowa caucuses. In November\u2064 he had 10%. In January he\u2064 won it outright.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Although Cruz won the 2016 Iowa caucuses, he eventually dropped out, and Trump went on to become the GOP&#8217;s nominee.<\/p>\n<p>Haley\u200c reiterated her campaign theme of promoting new Republican leaders and leaving behind negativity.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>&#8220;I have said\u200c it very clearly, that we need \u200da new\u2064 generational leader.
