Bankman-Fried has pleaded not\u200d guilty\u2064 to fraud.<\/p>\n<p>In\u2062 the letter, Bankman-Fried\u2019s attorney confirmed he had spoken with \u2064and provided\u2064 personal documents to\u200d the\u200d New York \u200bTimes that included documents written by a former \u2064colleague, Caroline Ellison,\u200b who has cooperated with the U.S. government.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBankman-Fried \u200cdid not violate\u2062 the\u200c protective order \u200din this case, nor did he \u200cviolate\u2063 his bail conditions, \u200bnor did he violate \u2064any law or rule governing his conduct,\u201d Bankman-Fried\u2019s lawyer Mark Cohen said in\u2062 the letter.<\/p>\n<p>An article published by New York Times titled \u2063\u201cInside the Private \u200bWritings \u200dof Caroline Ellison,\u200d Star Witness in\u200b the FTX Case\u201d reported excerpts\u200d from Ellison\u2019s\u200d personal \u200cGoogle documents from before the collapse of FTX in which she\u200c spoke about being \u201cpretty unhappy and overwhelmed\u201d with her job and feeling\u200b \u201churt\/rejected\u201d from her breakup with Bankman-Fried. <\/p>\n<p>Ellison led Bankman-Fried\u2019s Alameda Research hedge fund and has pleaded guilty to defrauding investors and agreed to cooperate \u2063with prosecutors.
