(Photo by Win \u2062McNamee\/Getty Images)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>OAN\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oann.com\/tag\/brooke-mallory\">Brooke Mallory<\/a><br \/>6:52 PM \u2013\u2062 Sunday, July 23, 2023\u2063  <\/p>\n<p>Senior\u2063 lawmakers are now escalating their demands for more information and \u2063intelligence-findings regarding unidentified flying \u200cobjects \u2062(UFOs) or unexplained aerial phenomena (UAPs) from military and other government personnel.<\/p>\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1663871513696-art-1\" style=\"min-width: 320px; min-height: 50px;  text-align: center;\">  \t<script>  \t\tgoogletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display('div-gpt-ad-1663871513696-art-1'); });  \t<\/script>  <\/div>\n<div class=\"ad-slot__ad-label\">Advertisement<\/div>\n<\/p>\n<p>The requests reflect some \u200clawmakers\u2019 dissatisfaction with being kept in the dark about what is currently known about\u200b UFOs and UAPs.<\/p>\n<p>Legislators claim that they are not entirely convinced that the administration is concealing evidence of alien life \u200bfrom the public and legislative scrutiny, however, they are still\u2063 dissatisfied that they are not \u2064learning more about unknown objects flying in \u2063restricted U.S. airspace.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>\u201cMy primary interest in this topic\u2063 is if there are\u2026 objects operating \u200cover \u200crestricted air space it\u2019s not ours and we don\u2019t know whose it is, that\u2019s a problem that we need to get to\u200c the bottom of,\u201d said Senator Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), vice chairman of the Senate Intelligence\u200b Committee.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>\u201cIf there\u2019s an\u200d explanation\u200b for \u200dit that\u2019s being kept from Congress, then we need to force the\u200b issue. We\u2019re not getting answers,\u201d Rubio told the press.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The Senate has \u200bamended an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/hispanic-caucus-takes-aim-at-african-american-veterans-service-on-key-panel\/\" title=\"Hispanic Caucus Takes Aim at African-American Veteran\u2019s Service on Key Panel\">annual defense bill<\/a> to force the federal government to \u200cgather and reveal all documents pertaining to UFOs and UAPs, unless a special review board deems them to be kept confidential.<\/p>\n<p>Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) and Sen. Mike Rounds\u200b (R-S.D.), members\u200d of the Senate Armed Services and Intelligence committees, sponsored the amendment, which is supported by Rubio and Sen. Kirsten \u2064Gillibrand (D-N.Y.), chairwoman of the Armed\u2064 Services \u200csubcommittee on emerging \u200dthreats, as well as Sens. Todd Young (R-I.N.), a former Marine intelligence officer,\u200d and Martin Heinrich (D-N.M.).<\/p>\n<p>Rubio, the leading Republican on the intelligence committee, reportedly has more\u200d access to sensitive material than the vast \u2064majority of members of Congress. He believes \u200bthat there are documents relating to mysterious airborne occurrences that are hidden from legislative monitoring.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>\u201cRight now, what I know is reliable people tell us that and \u2062we\u2019ve\u2062 seen\u2062 objects operating over restricted military and national security airspace. They claim it\u2019s\u200d not ours. They claim they don\u2019t know\u200c whose\u200c it is. That\u2019s like the definition of a national\u200d security threat,\u201d Rubio maintained. \u00a0\u201cEither there\u2019s an answer that exists and is not\u2064 being provided,\u200b or \u200cthere is no answer. Beyond that, I don\u2019t want to speculate anything,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The House Oversight Committee hearing on\u2063 UAPs and UFOs this week similarly reflects \u200dthe\u2063 topic\u2019s popularity.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting\u2062 will be chaired by Rep. Tim Burchett (R-Tenn.), who said legislators will\u2063 hear from Grusch as well as former Navy Cmdr. David Fravor and former\u2062 Navy pilot \u200dRyan Graves.<\/p>\n<p>Burchett \u200bsaid this month on a podcast that the federal government has\u2062 known about UFOs\u200c for decades and that \u201cthey\u200d can fly underwater and don\u2019t show a heat trail,\u201d\u200b appearing to defy what we know about\u2064 science.<\/p>\n<p>According to congressional sources \u2062familiar with efforts\u2063 to obtain additional information from\u200c the Defense Department and intelligence agencies, UAPs and UFOs are being observed more regularly as military sensor technology improves.<\/p>\n<p>In 2020, the Department of Defense published three Navy recordings showing items flying in unusual ways and capturing\u2062 the perplexed \u2063and \u2064awestruck reactions \u200cof Naval aviators who experienced the phenomenon.<\/p>\n<p>Grusch, a whistleblower, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/legislators-continue-demanding-answers-on-ufo-activity\/\" title=\"Lawmakers Still Seeking Answers About UFO Activity\">claims top \u200cintelligence agents told<\/a> him\u2062 they \u200cwere members\u200c of \u2062a covert UAP task team, although he has \u2062not directly encountered non-human intelligence. He claims he was retaliated against when he attempted to learn more about the secretive program.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>\u201cMost certainly there are elements\u2063 of things, whether \u200bhistoric \u200cor current, that potentially Congress has not been kept fully \u200dinformed of, and \u200bthat would be a\u200d problem,\u201d\u2064 Rubio reiterated. \u201cThere\u2019s\u2062 really no function of the executive that shouldn\u2019t require congressional oversight at some level.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The Senate defense bill includes \u2062language requiring \u200dthe National Archives \u200band Records Administration to compile a collection of records pertaining to UAPs from various government agencies\u2064 that would be declassified for public access.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>\u201cUAPs generate \u200ca \u2062lot of curiosity \u200bfor many Americans, and with that curiosity sometimes comes misinformation,\u201d Schumer said on Tuesday on the Senate floor.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Many Democrat\u200b officials, like Schumer, have long denied any sort\u2062 of cover-up regarding\u200c UFOs, insinuating that the topic \u200dis based in fantasy that was made popular by conspiracy theorists.<\/p>\n<p>Since there is no undeniable evidence of such \u2062trips in\u200c the public domain, most\u200c politicians are highly hesitant to claim they assume \u2064aliens from other solar systems are visiting Earth or that they exist \u200dat all.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s just like with JFK and the [1963] assassination. We \u200bset up separate archive for that or central collection place for all that data, which I \u2064think gave\u200d the American\u200b people a sense of security that\u200d there was a location \u200dwhere\u2063 it was being held. This\u200d is\u2062 following that same approach,\u201d Rounds said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t think you can \u200bdiscount the possibility \u2063just simply because of the size \u200bof the universe.\u201d\u00a0He\u200b continued. \u201cSome of \u2064the items we simply \u2063can\u2019t explain,\u201d he said \u2063of the Naval videos of UAPs.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Stay informed!
