Tony Gonzales Calls for Action\u2063 on Southern Border Crisis<\/h2>\n<p>Rep. Tony\u200c Gonzales (R-TX) has voiced his concerns about the\u200c methods \u200cbeing \u200dused at the southern border by Texas, stating that they \u2064are &#8220;not acceptable.&#8221; However, he refrained from directly criticizing Gov. Greg Abbott (R-TX) for his efforts to prevent illegal immigrants\u2064 from\u200b entering \u2062the state.<\/p>\n<p>In an engaging interview with Margaret Brennan on CBS News&#8217;s &#8220;Face the Nation,&#8221; Gonzales expressed his dissatisfaction with \u200dthe situation \u200cat the border, stating that it has been unacceptable for the \u2063past two years.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>&#8220;The border crisis has \u2064been anything but \u2062humane. I think\u2063 you&#8217;re seeing the \u200bgovernor do everything he possibly can just to secure \u200cthe border,&#8221; Gonzales emphasized, dismissing the\u200c notion \u200bthat the buoys are the root of the\u200b problem.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Gonzales further\u200c explained, &#8220;Everything that is happening along \u2063the border is \u200bjust\u2064 adding fuel to the\u200c fire because what \u2064you&#8217;re having is, \u200byou&#8217;re having\u2063 people at the very top say one thing \u200band\u200b the people down at\u2064 the ground do another.
