An \u2064additional $173 is added for each extra member beyond eight.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Rural I:<\/strong> $293 for \u2064a\u200d household of one, \u2064$979 for \u2062a household of four, and $1,762 for a household of eight. Approximately 6% of the state&#8217;s population, \u2064totaling\u2062 47,400 people, are \u2063eligible SNAP benefit recipients.\u2064 The average payment per \u2062household\u2064 member per month is $185.<\/p>\n<h3>Rhode Island<\/h3>\n<p>Rhode \u2062Island has an average\u200d SNAP payment of $183 per household member per month. The maximum \u2062amount is $281 for a household of one, $939 for a household of four, and\u2063 $1,691 for a household of\u2063 eight. An additional $211 is added for each extra member. Around 13% of Rhode \u200bIsland&#8217;s population, with\u200d 139,400 individuals, receive food\u200c stamps.<\/p>\n<h3>Vermont<\/h3>\n<p>In\u2063 Vermont, SNAP benefits \u200care received by approximately 11% of the population, totaling 69,500 \u2063people. The average payment per\u2063 household member per month is $188. The maximum amount is\u200d $281 for \u200ca household of\u2063 one, $939 for a household of \u2063four, and $1,339 for a household \u200dof six.
