And while this is surely a relief to the president, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/biden-grandchild-no-7-magnifies-the-male-privilege-of-joe-and-his-boy\/\" title=\"Biden's 7th grandchild highlights Joe's male privilege.\">child-support settlement doesn\u2019<\/a>t make grandchild No. 7 go away. <\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2-long d-flex justify-content-center\" style=\"margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center; \" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-191486988\">\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1379703300879-0\" class=\"mb-30\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-3fd80308d337907fb933c404467bbf9d fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-3fd80308d337907fb933c404467bbf9d\"><\/div>\n<p>To \u200chear any of the\u2063 Bidens tell it, they are one big \u200chappy family with \u200ba total of six grandkiddos\u200c who are all loved. \u200c\u201cI have six grandchildren,\u2062 and I\u2019m\u200d crazy about them. I speak to them every single\u2062 day,\u201d Biden <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RNCResearch\/status\/1651632958527111168\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">said<\/a> in April. \u200b <\/p>\n<p>Before that, \u200dthe first lady\u2062 <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/elections\/jill-biden-book-review\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">dedicated<\/a> \u200bher 2020\u200d children\u2019s book \u201cTo my\u200c grandchildren,\u201d \u2063with a list\u200d of \u2063six names. According\u2062 to The New York Times, which <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2023\/07\/01\/us\/politics\/hunter-biden-daughter-arkansas.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">cited<\/a> \u200c two people familiar with the matter, in White House strategy meetings,\u200b the president\u2019s aides \u2064are instructed that Joe \u200dand Jill Biden have six grandchildren, not seven. And at Christmas time, the Bidens meticulously placed six personalized stockings atop the White House mantle as a tribute to their posterity:\u200d Naomi, Finnegan, Maisy, Natalie,\u2062 Beau, and Robert Hunter Biden II. <\/p>\n<p>But what about <em>Roberts<\/em>? As in\u200b Navy Joan Roberts, 4-year-old\u200d daughter of Robert \u201cHunter\u201d Biden the First. The \u200bpresidential family not only fails \u2063to accept or acknowledge her \u2014 they go out of their way to reinforce the\u200d completely false \u2064idea that they have precisely six grandchildren. As Maureen Dowd recently scolded in The New York Times, \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2023\/07\/08\/opinion\/hunter-biden-child.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">It\u2019s Seven\u2064 Grandkids, Mr. President<\/a>.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Biden\u2019s fans didn\u2019t \u2063like that. The\u200c shrews of \u2064\u201cThe View,\u201d\u2064 for instance, told Dowd to \u201cfind something else to write\u200d about.\u201d Whoopie Goldberg was insistent:\u2064 \u201cWhen you start talking about people\u2019s families, and what they\u2019re doing, I find it unnecessary. This is not anybody\u2019s business.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-9ff7fb122233c7fd734db8d46d3da28c fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-6\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-9ff7fb122233c7fd734db8d46d3da28c\"><\/div>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">All\u200d in the Family?<\/h2>\n<p>The \u2064problem is, the first family is\u2062 always the first one to talk about the first \u200dfamily. You don\u2019t get \u200bto lie \u2063about \u2064your relatives \u200bon\u200b the national stage and then claim <em>Invasion of privacy! Unnecessary! None of your business! <\/em>when critics correct the record. This \u200dis especially true\u2062 if\u2063 you routinely invoke your family \u200cand its tragedies to present yourself as a dedicated family\u2064 man.<\/p>\n<p>Joe\u2064 Biden does this all the time. He frequently refers to his \u200bdeceased son\u2064 Beau to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/knowles-the-bad-faith-debate-over-cancel-culture\/\" title=\"KNOWLES: The Bad Faith Debate Over \u2018Cancel Culture\u2019\">score political points<\/a> \u2063or \u200dweasel his \u200dway \u2064out of accountability. More than once, Biden\u2019s even <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/03\/08\/heres-the-full-list-of-every-lie-joe-biden-has-told-as-president-part-three\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">lied<\/a> about the circumstances \u2063of Beau\u2019s death, claiming he died in \u2064combat in Iraq when he actually died of cancer. When Biden\u2019s dereliction of duty led\u2064 to a\u200d catastrophic withdrawal from Afghanistan, leaving 13 brave American servicemembers dead, Beau\u2019s name\u2063 was\u200d <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2021\/08\/31\/joe-biden-cant-use-beau-to-avoid-answering-for-american-marines-deaths\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">cocked\u200b and loaded<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Biden also loves to talk \u2063about how \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=FgxZcU_DGww\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">very proud<\/a>\u201d he is of \u200dhis addict son, Navy\u2019s father, whom Biden calls \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2020\/10\/29\/biden-calls-hunter-smartest-guy-i-know-in-virtual-event-with-oprah\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">the smartest guy I know<\/a>.\u201d The\u200d patriarch \u200dhas <a href=\"https:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/news\/world\/americas\/us-politics\/biden-first-wife-daughter-death-sons-b2202141.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">many times<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/tv\/news\/joe-biden-christmas-family-loss-b2250308.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">talked<\/a> about the loss of his first wife and daughter in a car accident more than 50 years\u200c ago. And in\u200d 2021,\u200c he claimed he \u201chad a house \u2062burn\u200d down with my wife in it.\u201d (According to reports from the time, a lightning strike caused a small\u2064 kitchen \u200cfire that \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/white-house\/watch-biden-again-adds-fuel-to-story-about-lightning-sparking-fire-at-his-home\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">was \u200cunder control in 20\u2064 minutes<\/a>.\u201d Jill is obviously fine.) Point\u2063 being, the grandkids aren\u2019t the only family Biden habitually talks and\u2062 lies \u2063about. It\u2019s \u2064a compulsion.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJoe Biden\u2019s mantra\u2063 has always been that \u2018the absolute most important thing is\u200c your family,\u2019\u201d Dowd wrote. \u201cIt \u200dis the \u200bheart of his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/five-winners-and-five-losers-from-super-bowl-lv\/\" title=\"Five Winners And Five Losers From Super Bowl LV\">political narrative<\/a>. Empathy, born\u200d of \u200cfamily tragedies, has been\u2062 his stock in trade. Callously scarring Navy\u2019s life, just as\u2062 it gets started, undercuts that.\u201d Dowd continued:<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-720dd148555283b1a1f122cdb638d9f1 fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-10\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-720dd148555283b1a1f122cdb638d9f1\"><\/div>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>What \u200dthe Navy story reveals\u2063 is how dated and inauthentic the 80-year-old president\u2019s\u200d view \u2063of \u200dfamily is. Once you\u2064 could get away with \u200cusing terms like \u2018out of wedlock\u2019 and pretend that children born outside marriage didn\u2019t \u200bexist or were somehow shameful. But now we have become vastly more accepting of nontraditional families. We live in an Ancestry.com world, where people are searching out their birth parents and \u200dtrying to find relatives they didn\u2019t know they had.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Dowd is right that Biden\u2019s \u200bview of family is \u201cinauthentic.\u201d You can\u2019t be simultaneously \u201cvery proud\u201d of your son\u2064 and also deny the existence of his daughter. But \u2064there\u2019s more.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Penile Privilege<\/h2>\n<p>It\u2019s pretty handy for Hunter\u2062 and Joe that they each\u2064 have a Y chromosome and thus can easily sweep an unintended pregnancy and unwanted child under the \u2063rug. If\u2063 male\u200b privilege exists, \u2064this is its quintessence. <\/p>\n<p>Women \u2014 and their fathers \u2014 \u2063don\u2019t have that luxury. \u200dFor the\u200c maternal half of the\u200d doing-it duo, it\u2019s a\u2063 little \u200bharder \u200cto\u200c escape those doctors\u2019 visits and cravings and pains and episodes of vomiting and the oh-so-conspicuous bump. And that\u2019s just before the child is born. Once he \u200bor she enters the post-amniotic world,\u2062 that child is attached\u200d to its mother in a million ways that can\u2019t\u200c just be undone by omitting one little red-and-green stocking at \u200cYuletide.<\/p>\n<p>It\u200b should go without saying that under the Biden prescription \u2062for unplanned pregnancy, Navy wouldn\u2019t exist \u2063today at all; abortion is a cure-all for exactly these\u2064 inconvenient situations. That \u200cperhaps helps explain why Joe and\u200b the rest of the\u200c Biden\u200c dynasty can so easily discard her \u200cexistence in practice, if not in reality.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking of dynasty, there\u2019s another one that\u2019s taken \u200ca very\u2063 different approach to unexpected fatherhood \u2014 and\u2062 put the Bidens to shame. Just a \u200cfew years ago, Phil\u2064 Robertson, the \u200bthen-74-year-old patriarch of \u200dthe \u201cDuck Dynasty\u201d family, learned he had a 45-year-old daughter \u2014 the product of an \u2062affair \u2062early in his marriage before he converted to Christianity. When the woman, Phyliss, reached out to a member \u200cof the Robertson\u2062 clan, Phil took a DNA test and learned he \u2063was a 99.9 percent match. As Today <a href=\"https:\/\/www.today.com\/popculture\/duck-dynasty-star-phil-robertson-reveals-daughter-affair-45-years-t182703\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reported<\/a>: <\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>He said he didn\u2019t \u200chesitate\u2062 to want to contact her. The family has\u2064 quickly embraced the daughter and sister they didn\u2019t know they had. \u2026 Phil \u200dRobertson\u2019s\u200d wife, who is\u200b known as Miss Kay, also graciously accepted Phyliss \u200bdespite learning she was the product of an affair.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Unexpected\u2062 pregnancies offer plenty \u2062of other broader, enduring lessons about marriage, \u2064sex, fatherhood, and child-rearing. But the undertow here, as in all of life\u2019s imperfections,\u200c is\u200c that when mistakes are made, decent people own up to them and bear the consequences \u2014 especially when those missteps profoundly affect someone else\u2019s life. <\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Responsibility Untaken<\/h2>\n<p>Navy knows who her father\u200b is. She knows who\u2064 her grandfather is. But the\u200d powerful Biden \u2064men have never wanted to meet her. Instead, their own flesh and blood has had to settle for\u200d a couple\u2063 of Hunter\u2019s lousy paintings and some <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/hunter-biden-cashes-in-with-book-deal-as-career-prospects-dwindle-child-support-payments-mount\/\" title=\"Hunter Biden Cashes In with Book Deal as Career Prospects Dwindle, Child Support Payments Mount\">child support<\/a> he\u2019s negotiated down. Navy isn\u2019t even allowed to have the Biden name. <\/p>\n<p>Her father, however, apparently considers everything\u2064 squared. As Hunter \u2063wrote in his memoir, he doesn\u2019t remember his\u2064 tryst \u200bwith Navy\u2019s mother at\u2063 all. \u2063\u201cThat\u2019s how little connection I \u200bhad with anyone. I \u200bwas a mess, but a mess I\u2019ve taken\u200b responsibility for.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Wrong. He absolutely hasn\u2019t. And his father aids and abets him. As Dowd wrote, \u201cthe president can\u2019t defend Hunter on all his other messes and \u2063draw the line at accepting one little girl.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Navy bears exactly zero responsibility for\u200b the circumstances of her \u200cbirth. You \u200bcan\u2019t keep a little girl out of the family just because her daddy couldn\u2019t keep it in his pants.
