After the raid, during which \u200cthe FBI had seized all electronics \u2063from\u2064 his home, he had resigned from ABC News\u200d and kept his life private.<\/p>\n<p>Court documents showed that the\u200c investigation into Meek had began after Dropbox had alerted authorities that\u200c he had been\u200b keeping child pornography material on his account.<\/p>\n<p>Federal prosecutors say that they had found three different \u2062conversations on his phone, in which he had \u2062allegedly expressed the desire to \u200c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/colorado-woman-gets-only-probation-for-repeatedly-sexually-assaulting-a-minor\/\" title=\"Colorado Woman Gets Only Probation For Repeatedly Sexually Assaulting A Minor\">sexually abuse children<\/a>. They also discovered\u200b photos and videos of child pornography that were sent and received on his phone.<\/p>\n<p>An FBI affidavit indicated that agents had\u200c found dozens of\u200b child sexual abuse \u200dimages and videos\u2064 in Meek\u2019s home that \u200bdated back to 2014. The affidavit also showed evidence that he had used\u2064 Snapchat and other apps, sometimes portraying himself as a young girl, to pressure minors \u2063into sending him explicit photos.<\/p>\n<p>In one conversation on\u2062 his phone, Meek \u2062had asked someone \u201cHave \u200cyou every raped a toddler girl? It\u2019s amazing,\u201d\u2062 he also\u2062 shared his perverted fantasy of \u201cabducting, drugging, \u200dand\u2062 raping\u201d a 12-year-old girl.<\/p>\n<p>Meek was hired \u200bby ABC News in 2013 after his tenure at the New York Daily News. Meek had led the investigation, and produced Hulu\u2019s 2021 documentary \u201c3212 Un-redacted\u201d about a Special Forces operation in \u200bNiger which resulted in four soldiers dead \u200din 2017.
