U.S. District Judge Kent Wetherell of Florida&#8217;s Northern District had previously issued a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/breaking-georgia-update-judge-issues-restraining-order-for-10-days-preventing-defendants-from-destroying-or-erasing-dominion-voting-machines\/\" title=\"BREAKING GEORGIA UPDATE: Judge Issues Restraining Order for 10 Days Preventing Defendants from Destroying or Erasing Dominion Voting Machines\">temporary restraining order<\/a> to block the release of illegal immigrants through the parole with conditions program.<\/p>\n<p>This week, Judge Wetherell discovered that the Department\u200c of Homeland Security, specifically\u2064 Immigration and Customs Enforcement,\u200c has no knowledge of the whereabouts of many illegal\u2063 immigrants from a group of 2,572 individuals. In a two-page filing, Wetherell expressed skepticism \u2064about DHS&#8217;s seriousness in locating these\u2063 individuals and taking appropriate action against them.<\/p>\n<p>Data from \u2062Immigration and Customs\u2063 Enforcement revealed that more than 80 percent of illegal immigrants in the catch-and-release program did not receive court summonses. Additionally, 41.4 percent of these migrants failed to \u2064check in with ICE within the specified\u2064 60-day period.<\/p>\n<p>While Wetherell&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/skeptical-federal-judge-admonishes-biden-dhs-over-failure-to-properly-track-illegal-aliens\/\" title=\"Federal judge criticizes Biden DHS for not effectively monitoring undocumented immigrants.\">previous order temporarily halted<\/a> the policy, he \u200dacknowledged that his order\u200d was too \u200bambiguous and would not push the issue further. However, he demanded a report from DHS on their knowledge of the illegal immigrants by August 18.<\/p>\n<p>Wetherell emphasized that the \u2064group of illegal \u2064immigrants beyond DHS&#8217;s reach is just the &#8220;tip\u2063 of the iceberg.&#8221; He also highlighted the limited resources of ICE \u200cas a contributing factor\u200d to \u2064the low success rate in contacting these individuals.<\/p>\n<p>Former immigration judge \u2062Andrew Arthur estimated that over 2 million illegal \u2062immigrants \u2062have \u2064been released\u2063 in the country under this policy.
