Furthermore, if the impasse persists, schools will not receive their much-needed funding.<\/p>\n<p>This budget crisis coincides with a plea for increased funding for mental\u2063 health resources in Pennsylvania. \u2062The state is currently grappling with a shortage of beds and staffing\u200b to support mental \u2064health patients, leading to backlogs in hospitals and\u200b jails.<\/p>\n<p>A <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/pennsylvania-counties-prepare-for-missed-payments-amid-budget-standoff\/\" title=\"Pennsylvania counties brace for payment delays amidst budget standoff.\">similar budget crisis occurred<\/a> in 2015, resulting in a standoff between \u200dthe state legislature and the governor that lasted until 2016.
