Ron DeSantis\u2019 presidential campaign has had its \u2064fair share of ups and downs since it began. Now that gap has closed, according to the Kaplan survey.<\/p>\n<p>A\u2062 <a href=\"https:\/\/kaplanstrategies.com\/2023\/07\/20\/biotech-investor-ramaswamy-joins-desantis-as-top-trump-rival-kaplan-strategies-poll\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news release<\/a> for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/is-america-doomed-alarming-polls-of-pro-socialism-pro-violence-gen-z-say-so\/\" title=\"Is America Doomed? Alarming Polls of Pro-Socialism, Pro-Violence Gen Z Say So\">survey noted<\/a>\u200c that Ramaswamy may have a higher ceiling than DeSantis, considering that he is less\u200b well-known among GOP voters but has the same level of support.<\/p>\n<p>The poll also shows that Trump continues to dominate the Republican field with 48 percent support and a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/bad-news-for-desantis-ron-tied-with-surprise-candidate-for-2nd-place-in-gop-poll\/\" title=\"DeSantis receives disappointing news: Tied with unexpected contender in GOP poll.\">69 percent favorability rating<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Former New Jersey Gov. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/chris-christie-slams-tucker-goes-quiet-carlson-hits-simple-request\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Chris Christie<\/a> and South Carolina\u200b Sen. \u200cTim Scott tied for third place with 5 percent support.<\/p>\n<p>Behind them \u200cwere former Vice \u2064President <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/pence-gets-terrible-news-clash-tucker-deathblow-campaign\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mike Pence<\/a> with 4 percent support, former South Carolina Gov. Nikki\u2062 Haley with 3 percent, former Arkansas Gov. Asa \u200bHutchinson with 1 percent, and North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum with\u200b no support.<\/p>\n<p>In a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetrafalgargroup.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/TPA-Straw-Poll-Full-Report-0716.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">straw poll<\/a> taken at the Turning Point Action conference last week, DeSantis, who did not attend the event, garnered just 4.3 percent support. Ramaswamy received 2 percent, while Trump crushed the competition with 85 percent support among attendees.<\/p>\n<p>Slipping in the polls \u200cisn\u2019t DeSantis\u2019 only problem.<\/p>\n<p>His campaign is burning \u2063through\u200b funds, resulting in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/fired-desantis-echoes-trump-shakes-campaign-staff-amid-poor-polls-cash-burn\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">firing<\/a> of several staffers.
