However, Ms.\u200b Brooks-LaSure argues that this \u200ctimeframe is inadequate considering the large number of individuals who have recently lost Medicaid coverage.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGiven the exceptional circumstances surrounding the resumption of Medicaid and CHIP \u2062renewals for the first time in three years, many individuals will need more than the typical\u200d 60-day \u200bwindow after\u200c loss of Medicaid or CHIP coverage to apply for and\u2063 enroll in \u2063other \u200ccoverage,\u201d she wrote.<\/p>\n<p>According to KFF, a nonprofit\u2063 organization focused on health research, over <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kff.org\/medicaid\/issue-brief\/medicaid-enrollment-and-unwinding-tracker\/\">3 million<\/a> people from 33 states have lost their \u2062Medicaid coverage since April.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Biden administration urged companies to maintain employee insurance as millions switch to Medicaid.
