According to an FBI report released by Congress \u200con Thursday, the \u200bCEO stated that it would take investigators over ten years to find records of\u200b illicit payments to \u2062President Joe Biden.<\/p>\n<p>Burisma Holdings, previously under investigation by Ukraine\u2019s Prosecutor-General Viktor Shokin, had hired Hunter\u200c Biden to join \u2063its \u200bboard of directors. Despite his lack of experience in \u2062the energy industry, Hunter was offered a monthly salary of $50,000.<\/p>\n<p>In a conversation \u200cwith \u2064the FBI source, Mykola Zlochevsky, the CEO of Burisma and a former Ukrainian\u200b government minister, revealed that the company had made illicit payments \u200bto both Hunter Biden and Joe Biden. These payments were made to secure political protection, and Zlochevsky claimed that it \u200dwould\u2062 be impossible\u2064 for investigators to \u200buncover them.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cZlochevsky responded it would take them \u2063(investigators) 10\u200d years to find\u200b the records (i.e.\u200b illicit \u200bpayments to Joe Biden),\u201d the source reported in 2019, while also \u2064noting that Zlochevsky said \u201che didn\u2019t want to pay the Bidens \u200band he was \u2018pushed \u2063to \u2063pay\u2019 them.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The purpose of these \u2063payments was for\u200d Hunter Biden to &#8220;protect us, through his\u200b dad, from all kinds of problems.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>At the time, Burisma was seeking\u200c to expand its\u200b business and avoid a corruption investigation by Shokin. Zlochevsky cited\u2062 this investigation as the\u2064 reason \u200bfor the payments. Despite advice against\u2064 this\u200c measure, Zlochevsky had already paid the Bidens to &#8220;deal with Shokin.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>In 2018, Joe\u2062 Biden \u2063himself \u2063recounted an instance when he told \u2063Ukrainian\u200d officials that aid would be withheld unless the prosecutor, Shokin, was fired. Zlochevsky suggested that both Bidens\u200d received \u200bpayments from Burisma Holdings.<\/p>\n<p>It is important to note that Zlochevsky is currently a fugitive in Ukraine on separate corruption charges, and his whereabouts are\u200d unknown.
