Additionally, those\u2064 in\u200d favor of rejecting \u2062the proposed material \u200bargued that sex and homosexuality were not appropriate topics\u200c for elementary school-aged students.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>\u201cCalifornia will ensure students in Temecula begin the school year with access to materials reviewed by parents \u2062and\u2062 recommended by teachers across the district.
