Russell also claimed that \u200dshe was too traumatized to discuss the incident further, which her boyfriend <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.oann.com\/newsroom\/boyfriend-of-found-nursing-student-says-she-was-abducted-after-being-lured-by-toddler-walking-on-interstate\/\" target=\"_blank\">believed and backed up<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>However, Alabama officials announced on Wednesday that \u2062no proof of a crime had been uncovered and that the woman had some very questionable Google searches that were discovered through phone records.<\/p>\n<p>Officials with the Hoover\u200d Police\u200c Department\u2062 have discovered troubling facts involving\u2064 Carlee Russell\u2019s phone and work computer prior to her disappearance. Searches such as \u201cWhat\u2019s the maximum age of an Amber Alert?\u201d\u2062 and \u201cthe movie Taken\u201d yielded these results. There were also searches for the Birmingham bus terminal\u200d and\u2062 bus tickets from\u200c Birmingham to Nashville in her phone\u2019s search history.<\/p>\n<p>Russell went missing on Thursday night after dialing 9-1-1 to report seeing a child on an Alabama \u2064highway. Two days later, she\u2064 returned home on foot, gaining national attention. Russell offered \u200da brief statement to the police upon her return, but additional interrogation was \u2064not pursued \u201cout of respect for her and her family.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>\u201cWe have requested a second interview with Carlee,\u200d but our \u2064request has not been granted,\u201d \u2063stated Derzis. \u201cThere remain numerous unanswered questions, \u2064and only Carlee\u200c can provide the answers.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Furthermore, the Hoover Police Department verified on Wednesday that there was also no proof of\u2062 a toddler \u2064on the freeway \u2063or any other reports from\u200c onlookers who would have been driving in the same area at the\u200b same time. Despite the fact that \u2064many vehicles passed through the location \u200con Thursday \u200cnight, the agency\u2062 received no other 911 reports about a child on Interstate 459.<\/p>\n<p>Authorities\u200b also \u2062proved that Russell drove 600 yards in her car while talking on the phone with a dispatcher about the kid, which is comparable to around\u200c six football fields, according to Derzis.\u200c She\u2062 alerted the dispatcher to the presence of a toddler wearing a diaper on the freeway.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, they proved that Russell took a pit stop at Target on U.S. 280 and bought granola bars and Cheez-its.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s difficult for me to comprehend how a barefoot toddler, potentially 3 or\u2062 4 years old, could travel six football fields \u2064without entering the roadway or crying,\u201d Derzis remarked.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The police heard audio from Russell\u2019s 9-1-1 call on Wednesday, in which she\u2064 said that she was following the\u2063 youngster in her car. Russell told the\u2063 dispatcher that \u2063she would \u2063keep an eye on the child until \u2063the police arrived.<\/p>\n<p>According to the authorities, they developed a chronology of the entire incident along with other \u200devidence, and it simply does not add up.<\/p>\n<p>Russell\u2019s police report stated that a White man came from the bushes and murmured that \u200dhe was going to check on the child. She then told authorities that the man\u2064 dragged her across a fence \u2064and into a car.<\/p>\n<p>She claimed\u2062 that the \u2063next thing she remembered was being in the trailer \u200bof a truck with the White man, who \u201chad orange hair,\u201d\u200b as well as a lady \u200dwho was accompanying him. She also reported hearing a child cry.<\/p>\n<p>According to her phony story,\u2064 she attempted \u200bto flee at one point but was later apprehended and thrown in\u200b a car while blindfolded. She indicated that she was not physically restrained since her\u200c alleged kidnappers did not want any marks on her wrists.<\/p>\n<p>Russell\u2019s boyfriend, who originally came to her defense and who spoke to reporters while expressing\u2063 his gratitude and joy\u200b for seeing\u200c his \u201cfound\u201d girlfriend again, is now silent and staying away from any press attention.
