Now, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/critics-blubber-over-the-whale-rejecting-narrative-that-obesity-is-healthy-and-normal\/\" title=\"Critics Blubber Over \u2018The Whale\u2019 Rejecting Narrative That Obesity Is Healthy And Normal\">mainstream actors<\/a> are coming out in support of the work stoppage and joining other union members on the picket line. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">But some projects\u2062 were\u2063 granted waivers to resume filming without violating the terms\u200d of the strike. Because these specific productions are not affiliated with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP), they aren\u2019t connected with the \u200bstudios and streaming companies that SAG-AFTRA is targeting, per <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/ew.com\/celebrity\/bob-odenkirk-urges-actors-not-to-accept-sag-aftra-strike-waivers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Entertainment Weekly<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Odenkirk doesn\u2019t think the actors should use ask for waivers, however. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cIt\u2019s \u200da strike. Tom \u200bCruise supports these\u2062 exemptions, but Odenkirk and others insist that union \u2064members on strike should \u200dnot promote their projects.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cWe all \u2064are in this together,\u201d \u201cThe \u2064Mindy Project\u201d actor Ike Barinholtz said. \u201cAnd if some of us\u200b are\u2064 starting new \u200dprojects and promoting others, that\u2019s gonna \u200ccause dissension. We need the opposite.
