Kennedy Jr. less than an \u200dhour \u2063into \u200cthe event\u2063 on Thursday, claiming that \u2062the\u2062 Democratic presidential candidate\u2019s &#8220;despicable&#8221; comments last weekend about Jews and Chinese people made him unfit\u2062 to testify.<\/p>\n<div>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/stopthebigboxbaitandswitch.com\/?utm_source=freebeacon&#038;utm_medium=advertising&#038;utm_campaign=2023\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/stopthebigboxbaitandswitch.com\/?utm_source=freebeacon&#038;utm_medium=advertising&#038;utm_campaign=2023\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><\/a><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<h3>Attempt to Silence Kennedy<\/h3>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Rep.\u200d Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D., Fla.) introduced a motion to &#8220;move into \u2063executive\u2063 session&#8221; about\u2063 40 minutes into\u200b the hearing, citing &#8220;Kennedy\u2019s despicable anti-Semitic,\u2063 anti-Asian comments.&#8221; The motion drew support from Democrats\u2014who had signed a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.haaretz.com\/us-news\/2023-07-18\/ty-article\/.premium\/over-100-democrats-demand-rfk-jr-s-congress-testimony-be-nixed-over-antisemitic-comments\/00000189-6a4d-de70-adcb-fbcf3b5d0000\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.haaretz.com\/us-news\/2023-07-18\/ty-article\/.premium\/over-100-democrats-demand-rfk-jr-s-congress-testimony-be-nixed-over-antisemitic-comments\/00000189-6a4d-de70-adcb-fbcf3b5d0000&#038;source=gmail&#038;ust=1689951336253000&#038;usg=AOvVaw0WktvqqzFwIeBtq38VWVmy\">letter<\/a> earlier in \u200cthe week trying to\u2063 get Kennedy\u2019s\u2064 invitation to the hearing\u200d rescinded\u2014but failed to pass\u2064 the Republican-controlled committee.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The hearing, which was\u200c convened\u2064 by\u2063 Republicans to &#8220;examine the federal government&#8217;s\u2063 role in censoring Americans,&#8221; comes \u200das Kennedy has \u2062faced days of\u200b controversy for claiming that COVID-19 was &#8220;targeted to attack Caucasians and Black people&#8221; and that the &#8220;people who\u200d are most\u200c immune are Ashkenazi Jews and Chinese.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Kennedy has \u200bdenied \u2064he \u2064is\u200b anti-Semitic and\u200b defended his comments, including\u200c during his opening remarks\u200b at Thursday morning\u2019s hearing.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">&#8220;I have \u2064never uttered\u200d a \u200bphrase \u200dthat was either racist or \u200canti-Semitic.\u200c I have\u2062 spent my <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/nikole-hannah-jones-humiliates-unc\/\" title=\"Nikole Hannah-Jones Humiliates UNC\">life fighting<\/a>, my <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/house-dems-try-to-shut-down-hearing-on-censorship\/\" title=\"House Democrats attempt to halt censorship hearing.\">professional career fighting<\/a> for Israel,&#8221; said Kennedy. &#8220;I have a better record \u200bon Israel than anybody in this\u200b chamber today.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Kennedy argued that \u200bthe anti-Semitism accusations \u2062against \u200dhim, including the letter to prevent \u200bhis testimony that was signed by over 100\u200b Democrats, were a form of censorship.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">&#8220;I\u2019m being censored\u2062 here,&#8221; Kennedy \u2064said. \u2064&#8221;I don\u2019t \u2063think there\u2019s a single person\u2063 who signed \u200cthis \u200bletter who thinks\u2064 I\u2019m\u200b anti-Semitic.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The\u2062 Democratic candidate, who has also been a \u200cvocal critic \u2062of COVID vaccines, said descriptions \u200cof\u200b him as &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/medical-kidnapping-hospital-refuses-to-let-daughter-see-her-elderly-mother-for-not-taking-covid-test-crowd-comes-and-gets-mom-released-videos\/\" title=\"\u2018MEDICAL KIDNAPPING\u2019: Hospital Refuses to Let Daughter See Her Elderly Mother for Not Taking COVID Test, Crowd Comes and Gets Mom Released (VIDEOS)\">anti-vax<\/a>&#8221; are also \u200dan attempt by his opponents to shut down his speech.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">&#8220;This kind\u2064 of \u2062division is more dangerous to our country than any time since the American \u2063Civil War,&#8221; \u2064Kennedy said. \u2062&#8221;We \u200bneed \u2064to end that polarization.
