It\u2019s not like the Biden administration is hiding this.\u200b For\u2064 instance, consider this opening \u2062paragraph of a September 2022 article on the U.S. Department of\u200b Defense\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.defense.gov\/News\/News-Stories\/Article\/Article\/3166586\/diversity-in-us-partner-militaries-is-a-strategic-strength\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">website<\/a>: \u201cDiversity in the U.S. military and \u2064in \u200dthe militaries\u200c of \u2063partner nations is a\u2063 strategic \u2063imperative, the commander of U.S.\u2062 Transportation \u200cCommand said.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The evidence for\u200c this, Air Force Gen. Jacqueline\u200d Van Ovost said, was a book that \u200c\u201clinked the citizen status within the nation and in their\u2064 military to battlefield \u200dperformance.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>If \u2064Lt. \u2063Gen. \u2063Richard\u200c M. Clark, \u200chead of the Air Force Academy, indeed read the\u2062 same tome that Gen. Van Ovost read, he didn\u2019t quite absorb \u2063it as well, since he agrees with\u200d her sentiment and the party \u200bline, but he\u200c wasn\u2019t \u200dparticularly\u200b good at\u200d answering how that diversity and inclusion \u200dwas a \u201cwar \u2062fighting\u201d or \u201cstrategic\u201d \u2064imperative when the\u200c question\u200c was \u2062posed by Florida GOP Rep. Matt Gaetz during Wednesday testimony \u2063before \u200bthe <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/fact-checkers-conspiring-pentagon-get-bad-news-house-committee\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">House Armed Services Committee<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In a viral \u2064clip, Gaetz first asked the lieutenant general whether he believed\u2064 the\u2064 statement. Indeed he did. then, Gaetz said: \u201cSo let\u2019s look at the population that \u200cactually\u2064 makes\u200d up the fighting force,\u201d \u200bGaetz said. \u201cNow we have more men and women, right? 70-30-ish?\u201d The lieutenant answered that was \u2062correct.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd \u2063of the men we have, most of them are not transgender men. Most of them \u2063are cisgender men, right?\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/matt-gaetz-presses-fbi-director-biden-shakedown-hearing-seem-deeply-incurious\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Gaetz<\/a> asked. Again, correct. \u201cBut yet, at our academies, we put \u200cpush something \u200bcalled the Brooke Owens \u200dFellowship. Are you\u2064 familiar with that?\u201d Again, yes.<\/p>\n<p>For\u200d the uninitiated, on its <a href=\"http:\/\/www.brookeowensfellowship.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">website<\/a>, the Brooke Owens Fellowship\u2064 describes itself as an organization \u201cdesigned to serve both as\u200d an \u2064inspiration \u2062and as a career boost to\u2062 capable young women and\u2062 other gender\u2062 minorities who, like Brooke, aspire to explore our sky and stars, to shake up the aerospace\u200b industry, and to \u2064help \u2063their\u2064 fellow people here on planet \u200cEarth. We do this by matching up to forty students \u2063per year with purpose-driven, paid internships at leading \u200daerospace companies and organizations and\u200c with senior and executive level mentors.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Air Force Academy allows cadets to apply for the program.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd in that fellowship, it\u200c specifically says, If\u200b you \u2063are a cisgender man, this program isn\u2019t \u2063for you,\u201d Gaetz continued.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo you just \u200bsaid that your answer on \u200cwhy\u200c we why we do \u200csuch this, this full hug of\u200b these diversity concepts is \u200cbecause\u200b it\u2019s all about the fighting \u200dforce that\u2064 we draw from, but you\u2019re literally pushing a\u200c program in the academies that \u200bsays, if you\u2019re a cisgender woman, a transgender\u200d woman, a non-binary, agender, bi-gender, two-spirit, demigender \u2014 what\u2019s demigender?\u201d he stopped to ask.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSir, that\u2019s a that\u2019s a term \u2064of the people that are eligible\u200b for that particular scholarship,\u201d\u200b Clark said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat\u2019s a demigender person?\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/matt-gaetz-humiliates-fbi-director-testimony-house-judiciary-committee-hearing\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Gaetz<\/a> asked.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s a person\u2063 who looks at their \u200dgender in a different, uh,\u200d a \u200ddifferent way than I \u2062do, sir,\u201d Clark\u200d responded.<\/p>\n<p>A few \u200bseconds later: \u201cDo \u2064you \u2064know\u2062 what demigender really means?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m not really sure, sir,\u201d Clark answered.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRight. So do \u2062you know what \u2064agender means? All one\u200c word, \u2064not a-space-gender, but agender?\u201d \u200cGaetz asked. No on that one, too. We eventually got \u2063to Gaetz\u2019s ultimate point:\u200d \u201cSo here we are, pushing a fellowship,\u200d calling for people that you don\u2019t even know\u200b what the words mean. Again,\u200d no helpful answer.<\/p>\n<p>Just in case you were wondering,\u2064 blog\u200b GenderGP defines \u200c <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gendergp.com\/what-is-agender\/#:~:text=Definition%20%26%20Meaning%3A,described%20as%20genderfree%20or%20genderless.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">agender<\/a> \u200das people\u200d who \u201csee themselves \u200bas neither a man nor a woman, or both. They\u2019re gender-neutral and often are described as genderfree or genderless.\u201d Meanwhile, according to LGBT-centric outlet <a href=\"https:\/\/queerintheworld.com\/what-does-demigender-mean\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Queer in \u2063the World<\/a>, demigender refers\u2062 to \u201ca gender identity\u200b that refers \u2064to\u2064 a partial, but not \u2062a full\u200d connection to a specific \u2062gender identity \u2062or the idea of gender. Many demigender individuals also identify as nonbinary.\u201d\u200b Now\u2062 you know, and knowing is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=pele5vptVgc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">half the battle<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Apparently, that\u2019s\u200b half of \u2062the battle\u200c Lt.\u2062 Gen. Clark hasn\u2019t fought\u200d \u2014\u2062 but it\u2019s \u2064not\u200b exactly his fault. \u200dThe times, they are \u200ca-changin\u2019 inside\u2064 the Biden administration\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/watch-tucker-carlson-torches-bidens-woke-top-military-brass-overweight-middle-aged-women\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">new \u2063woke military<\/a>, \u200cand we cannot expect\u200c men like the lieutenant general to understand these terms, just to understand that they are the new priority, and by giving preference to\u200b them, we somehow confer strength\u200c onto our military.<\/p>\n<p>Why? How? It\u2019s \u200cnot like \u200dwe can expect this <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/mark-milley-told-michelle-obama-no-one-bigger-smile-today-biden-inaugurated-book\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">top military official<\/a> to answer that. After\u2064 all, when he\u2019s\u200b asked who he\u2019s even giving preference <em>to<\/em>,\u2063 he gets\u200b stumped.
