Just six days after \u200cthe strike began, SAG-AFTRA released a list of approved projects that their\u2062 members can work on without violating the \u2064strike order.<\/p>\n<p>Among\u200c the projects on the list are some exciting offerings from independent production company A24. Since A24 is not represented by the Alliance of Motion Picture \u200band Television Producers, their productions\u200d have been \u200cgiven the green\u2062 light. Currently in production are &#8220;Mother Mary,&#8221; \u2064starring Anne\u2062 Hathaway and Michaela Coel, and &#8220;Death of a Unicorn,&#8221; \u2062starring Jenna Ortega and Paul Rudd.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h3>Interim Agreements Allow Resumption of \u2063Work<\/h3>\n<p>&#8220;As of 07\/19\/2023, this list includes productions that are signed to agreements within the scope of the\u200c strike order, but have signed Interim Agreements allowing them \u2062to \u2062resume,&#8221; SAG-AFTRA explains on its\u200b website. &#8220;Members may work on \u2064these productions without being\u2062 in\u2063 violation of the strike order.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Other exciting projects on the list include &#8220;The Rivals \u200dof Amziah King,&#8221; featuring Matthew McConaughey, &#8220;Flight Risk&#8221; directed by Mel Gibson and starring Mark Wahlberg, &#8220;Dust Bunny&#8221; with Mads \u2062Mikkelsen and Sigourney Weaver, and &#8220;Bride Hard&#8221; with Rebel Wilson. Interestingly, Angel Studios&#8217; &#8220;The Chosen&#8221; is also included on the list, despite being distributed by Lionsgate, a \u200bmember of the AMPTP.<\/p>\n<p>Hours \u2063before the strike began, SAG-AFTRA released a separate list of\u2063 projects that union performers\u200c are allowed to work on. This <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/president-trump-preemptively-resigns-from-the-screen-actors-guild\/\" title=\"President Trump preemptively resigns from the Screen Actors Guild\">sag-aftra<\/a>-approves-39-projects-to-continue-despite-strike\/&#8221; title=&#8221;SAG-AFTRA greenlights 39 projects amid strike.&#8221;>includes \u200csoap\u2062 operas<\/a>, \u2064music videos, award shows, reality and competition shows, variety and game shows, and talk shows. However, due to the ongoing \u200dstrike by the Writer&#8217;s \u200cGuild of America, some talk shows have been unable to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/newly-named-jeopardy-host-mike-richards-quits\/\" title=\"Newly-Named Jeopardy Host Mike Richards Quits\">continue production<\/a> without their unionized writers.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s important to note \u2063that while performers are restricted from \u2062singing, rehearsing, or auditioning for \u2063new projects,\u2064 SAG-AFTRA agreements\u200d do allow\u200b for work in voice-dubbing, \u200ccommercials, and podcasting.<\/p>\n<p>This strike marks a significant moment in history, as \u200dit is the first SAG-AFTRA strike in 43 years.
