\u200csmears \u2064to undermine the\u2062 court \u200cbecause \u2063the\u200d left \u200bdoesn\u2019t\u200d like\u200c the court\u2019s popular recent rulings, like \u200daffirmative \u2064action, \u2064the protection of a\u200d Christian website designer\u2019s \u2064First \u2064Amendment \u2063speech \u200brights,\u200b and \u2063the striking \u200bdown of President Biden\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/if-democrats-are-worried-about-scotus-ethics-rules-they-should-look-into-lefty-justices-first\/\" title=\"Concerns about SCOTUS ethics rules should be directed towards left-leaning justices first, according to Democrats.\">wildly \u200bunconstitutional student loan \u2064forgiveness\u2063 giveaway<\/a>. \u2062Recall that\u2064 ProPublica,\u200c the left-wing outfit \u2062funded by \u2062left-wing\u200d billionaires,\u200c did not\u2063 <a \u200dhref=\"https:\/\/www.propublica.org\/article\/clarence-thomas-harlan-crow-investigation-origins\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">start looking<\/a> into the court\u2019s &#8220;ethics&#8221;\u200c until after the <em>Dobbs<\/em> \u2062decision\u200b overturning \u200c<em>Roe \u2063v.\u200b Wade<\/em>.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2-long \u2063d-flex justify-content-center\"\u2063 style=\"margin-left: \u2064auto;\u2064 margin-right: auto;\u2063 text-align: center;\u2063 \"\u200c id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-655105435\">\n<div \u2063id=\"div-gpt-ad-1379703300879-0\" class=\"mb-30\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-52553c648eecf5bf7c67992d0d4b66ea\u200b fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-52553c648eecf5bf7c67992d0d4b66ea\"><\/div>\n<h2 \u2063class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ethics \u200bProbes\u2063 for Conservatives \u200dOnly<\/h2>\n<p>The Democrats claim they \u200cneed\u200c to strengthen the recusal \u200bprovisions \u200dfor justices, but they never had any\u2064 problem\u2063 with Justice \u200cGinsburg\u2019s\u2063 husband\u2019s \u2063firm appearing\u200d repeatedly before \u2064the Supreme Court. \u2064Justice Ginsburg \u200bnever recused,\u2062 and in fact, \u200cshe\u2063 voted in favor of \u200bher husband\u2019s firm\u2019s \u200dclient\u200b in\u2064 the \u200b2007 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oyez.org\/cases\/2006\/04-1350\"\u200c target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer \u200bnoopener\">KSR \u200cInternational<\/a> case.\u2063 Nor did\u200c she \u200brecuse when Marty Ginsburg\u2019s \u2062former \u200dclient, <a \u2063href=\"https:\/\/cite.case.law\/us\/522\/1148\/11640484\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Ross Perot<\/a>, who had\u200d gifted him an\u2063 <a\u200c href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/1993\/06\/17\/us\/the-man-behind-the-high-court-nominee.html\"\u200b target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer \u2062noopener\">endowed<\/a> chair at Georgetown \u2062Law\u200d Center,\u2063 appeared \u2063before\u200c the court\u2064 in\u2064 1997. \u200bNo Democrat or the\u2062 media ever\u200c raised concerns \u2062about this.<\/p>\n<p>The Democrats and\u200b media \u200bhave claimed the\u200b court \u2062has become <a href=\"https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/alisondurkee\/2023\/07\/17\/here-are-the-recent-controversies-supreme-court-justices-have-been-caught-up-in-as-senate-committee-votes-on-ethics-bill\/?sh=7c9fb3ed3954\" target=\"_blank\" \u200drel=\"noreferrer \u200bnoopener\">too partisan<\/a>,\u200c with no \u2064basis\u200d for this\u200b claim. But Democrats\u2063 had\u2062 no \u200cproblem when Justice\u2064 Ginsburg\u2062 <a \u200bhref=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MarkPaoletta\/status\/1653424705968173056?s=20\" \u2064target=\"_blank\"\u200d rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">accepted<\/a> \u2063the Eleanor\u2063 Roosevelt \u200bAward\u200d (and statue)\u200b from the\u200b National\u2063 Women\u2019s Democrat Club,\u200b a\u200c partisan\u200d organization <a \u2064href=\"https:\/\/democraticwoman.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/GOTV-Tip-Sheet-edit.pdf\"\u200b target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer\u2064 noopener\">dedicated<\/a> to \u200delecting Democrats.\u200c NPR Supreme \u2062Court reporter Nina Totenberg\u2064 even <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MarkPaoletta\/status\/1653425644682788867?s=20\" target=\"_blank\"\u2064 rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">emceed<\/a> this\u2063 partisan\u200b event!<\/p>\n<p>Imagine if\u200c Justice \u2064Thomas \u2063or Alito\u2064 had \u200baccepted an \u200caward\u200b from the Republican National\u200b Committee. Heads\u200c would have \u200bexploded. \u2064Totenberg would have\u2063 been \u2062first \u200dout of\u2063 the gate condemning\u2063 this brazenly unethical act. But \u2064no \u2064Democrat or reporter\u2063 ever expressed \u2062concerns about \u2062Ginsburg\u2019s\u200d openly \u2062political act or whether this \u2064would\u200b have \u2062any\u2062 adverse\u2064 effects on the court\u2019s integrity.<\/p>\n<p>Or consider \u2064that Ginsburg <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MarkPaoletta\/status\/1653429915394424839?s=20\" target=\"_blank\"\u2064 rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">autographed<\/a> \u2064her\u2064 <em>Virginia\u200b Military\u200c Institute<\/em>\u2063 opinion\u2064 to \u200dbe used in an\u200c <a\u200b href=\"https:\/\/scholarlycommons.law.hofstra.edu\/cgi\/viewcontent.cgi?article=1949&#038;context=faculty_scholarship\" target=\"_blank\"\u200c rel=\"noreferrer\u200c noopener\">auction<\/a> \u200bin 1998 to raise \u2064funds\u2064 for\u200b the \u200dpro-abortion group National Organization for\u200d Women (NOW) PAC. No Democrat\u200d has ever expressed\u2063 concerns\u2063 about Ginsburg using her \u200cposition to\u200b explicitly\u2062 help\u200b a pro-abortion\u200c group raise\u200d money. \u2062But imagine if Alito signed a copy of his \u200cepic <em>Dobbs<\/em> \u2063opinion\u2062 and gave it to\u200d the\u200c pro-life Susan B. \u2063Anthony group \u2064to \u200draise funds.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-6d82e7f16b177537dd1cba761b4d97e1 \u2064fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-6\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-6d82e7f16b177537dd1cba761b4d97e1\"><\/div>\n<p>In\u200d January 2004,\u200c Ginsburg\u200d gave <a \u2064href=\"https:\/\/www.latimes.com\/archives\/la-xpm-2004-mar-11-na-ginsburg11-story.html\" \u2063target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer\u2062 noopener\">opening \u200bremarks<\/a> at a\u200c <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/canadian-prof-calls-9-11-a-dumb-little-annual-pity-party\/\" title=\"Canadian Prof Calls 9\/11 A \u2018Dumb Little Annual Pity Party\u2019\">lecture series<\/a>, titled\u2062 the \u2064&#8221;Justice\u200d Ruth Bader \u2063Ginsburg Distinguished Lecture Series on \u2063Women \u200band the \u200dLaw,&#8221;\u200b co-sponsored by \u2062the \u200dNOW Legal Defense and\u2063 Education \u200dFund.\u200b She gave these remarks \u2064two \u200dweeks after \u2062she had\u200d ruled \u200din a\u200d case in\u200d the\u200b same manner a NOW \u2064Legal Defense \u2063Fund brief had urged.\u200d No\u200b Democrat ever expressed\u2063 any concern that she\u200d spoke \u2062at this left-wing pro-abortion organization\u2019s \u2062lecture\u2064 series (which \u2064Ginsburg \u200ballowed to \u2062use\u200b her name)\u2063 that \u2062regularly files briefs at\u2064 the court,\u200c and \u2064Ginsburg never\u2063 recused \u200bfrom \u2062cases involving\u2062 NOW LDF.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Refusing \u200bto\u2063 Recuse<\/h2>\n<p>In the\u2064 most \u2064unethical act by any justice in modern history, Ginsburg \u200cpublicly\u2062 <a \u2062href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2016\/07\/12\/politics\/justice-ruth-bader-ginsburg-donald-trump-faker\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" \u200drel=\"noreferrer noopener\">attacked<\/a> candidate Donald Trump in\u200b the\u2064 2016 presidential \u200crace to\u2062 stop \u2064him \u2063from being elected. \u2062She\u200b called\u2062 him\u2064 a\u200b &#8220;faker&#8221; \u2064and criticized\u200b him \u2064for not \u200dreleasing\u200b his\u2062 taxes.<\/p>\n<p>But\u200c when she \u200cmade some\u2064 of these \u200cunethical <a\u200d href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2016\/07\/11\/us\/politics\/ruth-bader-ginsburg-no-fan-of-donald-trump-critiques-latest-term.html\" \u2064target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">remarks<\/a> to The New\u2062 York \u2064Times Supreme Court reporter\u200b Adam Liptak,\u200c he\u2062 mentioned \u200dnothing\u2064 about how\u200b unethical \u200cher\u2063 comments were. The\u2063 headline was &#8220;Ruth Bader \u2063Ginsburg,\u2063 No Fan \u200dof Donald \u200dTrump,\u200c Critiques\u200b Latest \u200cTerm.&#8221; Other journalists like \u2063Linda Hirshman in \u200dPolitico\u200b <a\u200c href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/magazine\/story\/2016\/07\/ruth-bader-ginsburg-donald-trump-supreme-court-politics-history-214044\/\" target=\"_blank\" \u200drel=\"noreferrer noopener\">celebrated<\/a> Ginsburg engaging in\u2064 this\u200d completely unethical\u200d attack.<\/p>\n<p>Slate\u2019s\u2064 Mark Joseph Stern \u200badmitted Ginsburg\u2019s conduct was &#8220;not\u2064 just unethical, \u200bit\u2019s \u2063dangerous,&#8221; but \u2062not \u200bsurprisingly he \u2064later in \u2063the\u200c same \u200barticle <a \u200bhref=\"https:\/\/slate.com\/news-and-politics\/2016\/07\/ruth-bader-ginsburg-risks-her-legacy-to-insult-donald-trump.html\" target=\"_blank\" \u2062rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">excused<\/a> Ginsburg\u2019s conduct\u200c as \u200dsome sort\u200d of noble effort to\u200b stop Trump. I\u2019m\u200d not aware of any Democrat members\u2064 of Congress criticizing \u200bher for this\u2064 outrageously \u2062unethical conduct.<\/p>\n<div \u200cclass=\"fdrlst__b89e9-400c0e267534e5ab3d95f32b6337126e\u200d fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-10\" \u200cid=\"fdrlst__b89e9-400c0e267534e5ab3d95f32b6337126e\"><\/div>\n<p>To\u200d add \u200dinsult to\u200c injury, \u2064when \u2062a case\u200b (<a\u200d href=\"https:\/\/www.supremecourt.gov\/opinions\/19pdf\/19-715_febh.pdf\"\u200b target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>Trump\u2062 v. Mazars<\/em><\/a>) came before \u200bthe Supreme \u2062Court regarding\u2062 whether Trump \u2062was\u2064 required to\u2062 release \u200dhis \u200btaxes \u2063in response to\u2063 a congressional \u2063subpoena, Ginsburg did\u200d not \u2063recuse\u200b and voted against Trump. \u2062No Democrat or anyone in the media\u200d seemed bothered by this,\u2062 despite her\u2063 having\u200b previously proclaimed \u200bher partisan\u2064 and predetermined\u200d position on\u2062 the\u2062 matter.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A\u2063 Newly Discovered\u200d Missing\u2063 $1 \u200bMillion<\/h2>\n<p>In \u200da new <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/courts\/ruth-bader-ginsburgs-mysterious-1-million-prize\/\" target=\"_blank\"\u200d rel=\"noreferrer \u200bnoopener\">report<\/a> this week, it was revealed \u200bthat \u200dGinsburg directed \u200dthe $1\u2064 million prize \u200bshe received \u200cin 2019 \u2062from the Berggruen Institute to \u200bbe distributed to\u200c more\u200d than\u200d 60\u2063 groups, \u200bbut she required \u2062that \u200cthe recipients not \u2062be \u200ddisclosed. \u200bThus, there is no way to tell whether she should have recused\u200b from one of\u2064 these groups appearing before \u2062the\u2064 court. But\u2062 when\u200b she announced she was\u200c distributing \u200bthese \u200cfunds, I \u2063am\u2063 not\u2064 aware\u200b of\u200c any Democrat being\u200b curious as to\u2062 who\u200c would\u200b be getting\u200c this funding and \u2062whether \u200bthey would\u2064 appear before the court. \u2062Again, just\u2063 switch the names from Ginsburg to Thomas and \u200byou know\u2063 what\u200c would have \u200dfollowed.<\/p>\n<p>Democrats \u200cclaim this\u2062 so-called &#8220;ethics bill&#8221;\u2064 is needed \u2064because\u200c some\u2062 justices are traveling \u200don private \u200bjets \u2064and \u200c<a\u200c href=\"https:\/\/scrippsnews.com\/stories\/justice-clarence-thomas-confirms-getting-lavish-trips\/\" target=\"_blank\" \u200crel=\"noreferrer noopener\">vacationing<\/a> \u200bwith \u200cwealthy friends, regardless \u200dof\u200d whether these trips\u2064 have been disclosed. Many stories\u2062 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2023\/07\/09\/us\/clarence-thomas-horatio-alger-association.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">criticized<\/a>\u2063 Thomas for having friendships with \u200bwealthy \u2063individuals,\u2064 which brings Thomas in &#8220;proximity to \u200da lifestyle of unimaginable \u2063material privilege.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>But neither\u200c Democrats nor the\u2063 media\u200d had\u2064 any criticism\u2062 when Ginsburg \u2062traveled \u200bwith\u200c billionaire \u200bMorris\u200d Kahn and toured three countries\u2062 in the\u200b Middle East in 2018 right after \u2062the court ruled\u200b in\u200b his\u200d company\u2019s\u200b favor. Kahn \u2062<a\u2063 href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MarkPaoletta\/status\/1673767815122133003?s=20\" \u200btarget=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">paid<\/a> for \u2064transportation, food,\u200b and\u2063 lodging. No \u200bDemocrat or reporter criticized\u2063 this.<\/p>\n<p>In\u200c fact, while\u2062 Kahn\u2019s \u2062company\u2019s\u2062 case was \u2064still\u200b pending before \u200cthe \u200dcourt in 2017, \u2062the Genesis Prize Foundation, a group to which \u200bKahn\u2064 was involved\u200b and provided significant financial \u200csupport at the time, \u200c<a\u200c href=\"https:\/\/www.genesisprize.org\/honorees\/lifetime-achievement-award-2018#:~:text=Justice%20Ruth%20Bader%20Ginsburg%20z,first%20Genesis%20Lifetime%20Achievement%20Award\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">announced it\u200c was \u2062awarding<\/a> \u200dGinsburg a \u2063<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/nbc-news-anchor-fairness-is-overrated\/\" title=\"NBC News Anchor: \u2018Fairness Is Overrated\u2019\">lifetime achievement award<\/a>.
