Version: 4.0.47--><div\u2064 class=\"post_content\">\n \u200b <\/p>\n<h2>Democrat\u2064 Attorneys General \u2063Support Corporate DEI Efforts<\/h2>\n<p>A\u2062 group of\u200c Democrat attorneys\u200c general\u2063 are pushing back \u200bon \u200dthe behalf of corporations, stating on Wednesday\u200b they\u2064 would\u2063 not \u200dbe prosecuting companies\u2063 for\u2064 their \u2063diversity, equity, and\u2062 inclusion (DEI) efforts.<\/p>\n<p>The Supreme Court\u2019s \u200drecent\u2063 ruling against\u2064 the\u2063 use\u2064 of race \u200bin \u2063the consideration of \u2063college applicants had a quick \u2064ripple\u200c effect, bringing on \u2064a legal challenge against\u2062 Harvard\u200c for \u2063<a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/activists-coalition-now-going-after-harvards-legacy-admissions_5372009.html\">legacy<\/a> \u200cpreferences, as well as <a href=\"https:\/\/aflegal.org\/america-first-legal-puts-woke-corporations-law-firms-and-hospitals-on-notice-all-dei-programs-and-workplace-balancing-based-on-race-national-origin-and-sex-violate-the-law\/\">warnings<\/a> to corporations\u2063 coming\u200b from\u2062 America \u200cFirst \u2063<a href=\"https:\/\/aflegal.org\/america-first-legal-puts-woke-corporations-law-firms-and-hospitals-on-notice-all-dei-programs-and-workplace-balancing-based-on-race-national-origin-and-sex-violate-the-law\/\">Legal<\/a> (AFL), and 13 Republican\u2062 attorneys general.<\/p>\n<p>Now, \u200d21 Democrat \u2062attorney generals\u2062 have issued \u2062a\u2063 letter to \u2064the Fortune 100\u200c CEOs, assuring them\u200d their corporate diversity \u200dprograms are \u201clawful and serve important\u2064 business\u2064 purposes.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>  \u200d<\/p>\n<p>They \u2063applauded the companies\u2019 \u200cDEI\u200d efforts\u200b as \u201cethically\u2063 responsible, good \u200cfor\u200c business, \u200band \u2063good for \u200dbuilding\u200d America\u2019s workforce.\u201d<\/p>\n<p> \u2063\u200b <\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\n \u200c  \u200d\u2064 <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe \u2063letter you \u200dreceived\u200c from the \u206213 state\u200d attorneys general is intended to intimidate \u200byou \u2063into rolling \u2062back the progress\u200d many \u2064of you\u200b have made,\u201d wrote \u2063Nevada Attorney\u2063 General Aaron\u200b Ford. \u2063He \u200dwas\u200b joined by \u2063<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/biden-administration-rushes-appeal-against-court-ruling-in-effort-to-keep-censorship-regime-intact\/\" title=\"Biden admin swiftly appeals court ruling to maintain censorship regime.\">attorneys\u2063 general<\/a> \u2063from Arizona,\u2064 California,\u200c Colorado, Connecticut, \u2064Delaware, \u200bHawaii,\u200b Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan,\u2064 Minnesota,\u2062 New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, \u200dOregon, Rhode\u2062 Island, \u2063Vermont,\u2063 Washington,\u200b and the District of Columbia.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\u2063 \u2063 <\/p>\n<h2>Zero-Sum Race Factors<\/h2>\n<p>\u200b  <\/p>\n<p>Prior to the ruling\u200d last month, in \u2063states\u2064 without \u200dan\u2064 affirmative action \u200dban, universities that \u2062considered race did \u200dso \u200din <a\u200d href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/universities-say-affirmative-action-ban-wont-stop-them-from-pursuing-racial-outcomes_5365125.html\">compliance<\/a> with \u200bthe\u2063 decision\u2062 set\u200c forth in\u200b Grutter v. Bollinger, which ruled\u200c that race could\u2063 be used as a \u201cplus\u201d\u200b factor,\u2062 but\u2064 could\u200c never count \u200dagainst\u200d an \u200bapplicant.<\/p>\n<p> \u200b <\/p>\n<p>With\u2063 the most recent ruling,\u200b the high court deemed it time to sunset Grutter.\u200b College\u200d admissions are necessarily \u201czero sum,\u201d\u200d Chief Justice John\u2063 Roberts wrote in the \u200dmajority opinion\u200b (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.supremecourt.gov\/opinions\/22pdf\/20-1199_hgdj.pdf\">pdf<\/a>). (Joseph \u2062Prezioso\/AFP \u200bvia\u200c Getty\u2062 Images)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>  \u200b<\/p>\n<p>Justice \u200cNeil\u200c Gorsuch wrote in a\u200d concurring\u2064 opinion \u2063that\u2063 it was \u200dby definition discrimination \u201cto\u2063 treat that individual worse\u2063 than others who are similarly situated.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>  \u2063<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd no \u200bone \u200bcan doubt\u200c that both schools intentionally treat some applicants\u200b worse \u2063than others \u200dat least\u200c in part because\u200d of\u200b their race,\u201d \u200dhe\u200d wrote.<\/p>\n<p>AFL \u200cput\u200d companies \u200con\u2063 notice the same \u2062day \u2062the ruling came\u2063 out.<\/p>\n<p> \u200c <\/p>\n<p>\u201cAFL\u2064 has documented in a plethora\u2062 of \u2064Equal \u200bEmployment \u2063Opportunity \u200bCommission\u200c (EEOC)\u2064 complaints\u200d and \u2062board letters, many \u200cof the biggest corporations\u2064 in America do exactly what the\u2062 Civil \u2062Rights \u2064Act forbids. \u2062They \u2062use\u2064 race and sex as \u200ba stereotype and \u2064as a negative, especially when it comes\u2063 to heterosexual\u2062 males, whites,\u200b Jews, \u2064and Asians, intentionally treating \u200bthem worse than \u200bother job\u200b applicants\u2062 and employees,\u201d it\u2063 <a href=\"https:\/\/aflegal.org\/america-first-legal-puts-woke-corporations-law-firms-and-hospitals-on-notice-all-dei-programs-and-workplace-balancing-based-on-race-national-origin-and-sex-violate-the-law\/\">stated<\/a>,\u200d citing Amazon, \u200bAnheuser-Busch,\u200d Blackrock, \u200bHershey, Nordstrom, and \u2063Unilever, among\u2064 others.<\/p>\n<p> \u200b <\/p>\n<p>The Republican\u200d attorneys\u200c general sent \u2062a letter\u2064 to \u2064CEOs of\u200d Fortune 100 companies, including\u200c Coca-Cola, Microsoft, and \u200cJohnson &#038;\u2063 Johnson, writing, \u200b\u201cWe \u200curge\u200b you to immediately cease \u200cany unlawful race-based quotas or \u200bpreferences \u2064your \u200bcompany\u200d has\u200b adopted\u2063 for its \u200cemployment\u2063 and contracting\u2062 practices.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u2062  <\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf \u200byou choose\u200b not \u200cto\u2063 do so, know\u200c that \u2063you \u2064will be\u2063 held accountable.\u201d<\/p>\n<p> \u200d\u2063 <\/p>\n<p>Attorneys\u200b general,\u2064 like other <a \u2064href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/lawmakers-demand-answers-from-nih-over-transgender-youth-suicides_5390307.html\">officials<\/a>, \u2064have over the\u200b past\u2062 year <a\u200c href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/republican-attorneys-general-warn-target-over-obscene-pride-and-satanic-merchandise_5381886.html\">banded<\/a> together \u2064along\u2063 party \u2062lines \u200band\u2063 across <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/ag-barr-destroys-his-name-for-all-eternity-his-actions-today-confirm-he-is-just-another-card-carrying-swamp-rat\/\" title=\"AG Barr Destroys His Name for All Eternity -
