Ziegler \u2062testified that throughout \u2063the five-year \u200dinvestigation,\u200b he was\u2064 \u201chandcuffed,\u201d \u201chamstrung,\u201d \u201cmarginalized,\u201d and\u200b ultimately \u2063stopped\u200d from moving \u200cforward in the manner\u200b he would for \u2064any \u2063other scofflaw.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Ziegler wrote\u2063 a 99-page \u200bmemo\u2062 laying out the\u2064 case for felony \u200dcharges,\u2064 wholly consistent with \u200cthe \u2062IRS\u200c guidelines governing\u2064 charging in tax evasion cases. He maintains \u2062that every\u200d investigator and prosecutor on the case\u2064 agreed\u200d felonies were in order \u2014 all of which should\u200b be \u2064easy enough to find out.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Sure,\u2064 it\u2019s fun to talk \u2063about salacious parts of the \u200bHunter case, but the\u200c far bigger \u200cconcern should be finding \u2062out why \u200b<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/iran-aims-to-expand-wmd-program-german-intel-agency-concludes\/\" title=\"Iran Aims to Expand WMD Program, German Intel Agency Concludes\">companies operating<\/a> \u200cin\u200b authoritarian nations sent Biden $17\u2063 million. \u200cIt would be a fair question even\u200b if \u2062there had been no criminal investigation.<\/p>\n<p>Now, \u200cI\u2019m not saying the feds were\u2063 covering up \u200bproof\u2064 of Joe Biden\u2019s \u200billegality \u2014\u200c though\u200b circumstantial evidence and common sense \u200bsay\u200b the \u2062family business couldn\u2019t function\u2064 without his participation. I\u2019m saying it\u2019s increasingly clear the Justice Department \u200ddidn\u2019t want \u2063to \u2063find out \u2064if there was\u2062 any evidence. \u200dNo one wanted \u2064a replay of the\u200c Hillary-illegal \u200bserver scandal.\u200b And that\u2019s how Hunter \u200bgot \u200chis sweet deal.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAny time we potentially wanted to go \u2063down \u2063the road of\u200b asking \u2064questions related \u2064to \u2062the president, \u200dit \u200cwas,\u200c \u2018That\u2019s \u200cgonna\u2062 take too much approvals. We\u2064 can\u2019t\u2062 ask those questions,\u2019\u201d Ziegler <a\u2063 href=\"https:\/\/www.realclearpolitics.com\/video\/2023\/07\/19\/irs_whistleblower_joseph_ziegler_roadblock_after_roadblock_was_put_in_front_of_me_during_biden_probe.html\">told<\/a> CBS News. \u201cAnd I\u2062 mean, it created\u200c an environment \u200cthat \u2064was \u2064very hard\u200b to deal with.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Gary\u2062 Shapley, the second whistleblower, also testified\u200d that every \u200dtime \u200bprosecutors \u2063wanted \u2063to \u2063talk to \u2063Joe\u2019s grown grandchildren or \u2063others who\u2062 were \u2062receiving \u200dpayments from foreign companies\u2063 connected to the\u2064 \u201cbig\u200c guy,\u201d\u200b investigators \u2064shut them down. Shapley told\u2062 the\u200c committee that every step of \u200dthe \u2064way \u201cdecisions\u2063 were made \u2064that\u200c benefited the\u200d subject \u2063of this \u200binvestigation.\u201d \u2062That included \u200cthe Justice \u200dDepartment\u2064 stretching out the\u200b investigation to \u200c<a\u2064 href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/07\/19\/irs-whistleblower-says-weiss-allowed-statute-of-limitations-to-expire-in-hunter-biden-case\/\"\u200b target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer\u2062 noopener\">allow<\/a> the statute of limitations to expire.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Shapley \u2063says a U.S. attorney\u2064 for D.C. appointed by Joe Biden \u200cwas the\u200b one who had the final call on whether felony\u2064 charges \u2062were \u2063brought against \u2064Hunter. U.S. Attorney David\u200b Weiss,\u2063 he testified under oath, \u200dtold a\u200d room\u200c filled with five other senior\u2063 FBI and\u200d IRS\u2064 agents \u2064that \u200dhe\u2063 was \u201cnot the deciding\u200c person on \u2063whether \u2063charges are filed.\u201d Maybe Congress\u200c should get everyone\u2064 else under oath and find out?<\/p>\n<p>Not \u2062that \u200bany of this\u2063 mattered to \u2064committee Democrats, \u2062who rarely \u200ceven attempted to\u200c discredit or debunk\u2062 the \u2064testimony. Most of them merely\u200c prattled on about \u2064the\u2064 evils\u2064 of Donald \u200dTrump \u2063and \u2063Rudy Giuliani,\u200d which \u200bis usually enough to placate their \u2062constituents. A\u200c few \u200cDemocrats\u2062 ludicrously\u2062 argued\u200b that \u2064the president\u2019s\u2062 son, a man who\u2063 allegedly tried \u200cto <a\u2064 href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2023\/06\/22\/hunter-biden-deducted-payments-to-prostitute-sex-club-from-his-taxes-whistleblower\/\" target=\"_blank\"\u2062 rel=\"noreferrer \u2064noopener\">write off<\/a> sex club\u2063 memberships, prostitutes,\u200d and fancy hotel \u2064rooms for drug dealers, \u2062was the victim of \u200czealous\u200d over-prosecution.<\/p>\n<p>Though \u2064occasionally \u200dthey <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/its-increasingly-clear-the-feds-were-protecting-joe-biden-not-hunter\/\" title=\"Feds favored Joe Biden, not Hunter.\">inadvertently made important points<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Stephen Lynch, \u2064for \u200dinstance, went on and on about\u200c the corruption of \u2062the \u200bTrump years, bringing\u200d up \u2064<a href=\"https:\/\/www.npr.org\/2019\/03\/07\/701045248\/paul-manafort-former-trump-campaign-chairman-sentenced-to-just-under-4-years\">Paul \u2063Manafort<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/local\/legal-issues\/rick-gates-faces-sentencing-for-conspiracy-and-lying-to-fbi-in-mueller-probe\/2019\/12\/16\/8e0aa3ac-2033-11ea-a153-dce4b94e4249_story.html\">Rick \u2063Gates<\/a>, two people convicted of\u200b engaging in \u200bsimilar behavior \u200dto \u200dHunter Biden,\u2064 who\u200d was allowed\u200c to skate. Jamie Raskin tried\u2063 to \u200bexcuse\u200c Hunter\u2019s\u200b actions\u2062 by noting that \u2062he had fallen \u2063into crack addiction and whoremongering after his brother\u2019s sad death, Ziegler helpfully pointed out\u2064 that Hunter had \u2063<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/joe-biden-should-worry-about-his-own-kid-before-he-comes-sniffing-yours\/\" title=\"Joe Biden Should Worry About His Own Kid Before He Comes Sniffing Yours\">committed tax fraud<\/a> \u2064<em>after<\/em> he was\u2062 supposedly\u2064 fully sober and \u200cmarried.<\/p>\n<p>Any real political \u200djournalist with access \u2062would \u2063be\u200b pressuring the White House daily to explain what\u2064 services Joe Biden\u2019s\u2062 son, brother, \u200cand grown grandchildren \u2014 and \u200dvirtually every other \u200cmember of \u200chis family \u2014 \u200crendered foreign\u200d entities in \u2062Romania, China,\u200b and Ukraine \u2063that were \u2063worth\u200b over $17 million. The president could\u2063 make this all go away \u200cby explaining the situation.<\/p>\n<p>Frankly, I \u200cdon\u2019t\u200b expect to\u2064 ever find out.
