CCI also showed \u2064that fears of a \u200drecession in the next 12 months dropped precipitously in June \u2063for\u200b the\u200b first \u200dtime \u2062since August \u200cof 2022.<\/p>\n<p>However,\u200c &#8220;Bidenomics,&#8221; White House officials&#8217; new name for\u200b the president&#8217;s economic \u200dpolicies, is not yielding a \u2063boost \u200bin Biden&#8217;s \u2064own \u2063polling, \u200deconomic\u200b or \u200botherwise.<\/p>\n<p>As of Wednesday, just 38.4% \u2062of respondents \u200dapprove \u200cof Biden&#8217;s economic stewardship, compared to 58% who disapprove, according to RealClearPolitics&#8217; polling \u200caggregate. The president entered the White House \u2064with\u2063 roughly half of \u2062the country\u200b approving \u200cof his \u2063economic \u200cpolicies, \u2062yet\u2064 that\u200d figure has \u200dcontinued\u200b to fall\u200d as prices skyrocketed across his first two \u2064and\u200c a half years\u2064 in office.<\/p>\n<p>Still, Biden \u200dofficials, both \u2064those working at 1600 \u2062Pennsylvania Ave. and the\u200b president&#8217;s 2024 reelection\u200d effort, aren&#8217;t sweating his \u200dnegative \u200dpolls.<\/p>\n<p>There is\u2064 a sense \u200dinside the White House that some of\u200d the negative sentiment is being driven by Republican respondents \u2062who will always say the economy \u200cis suffering\u2062 unless there&#8217;s \u2062a Republican in\u2062 the White House. One senior White House \u200bofficial\u200c suggested to the \u2062Washington \u2063Examiner \u2062that the president&#8217;s \u200bteam\u2063 is \u2062focused on its &#8220;long-term&#8221;\u200b vision for the country.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;Americans\u2062 are \u2064feeling the impact of Bidenomics because investing \u2063in America\u2063 is investing in \u2064an\u200c economy built from\u200d the \u2063bottom \u200cup \u2062and \u200bmiddle out. President Biden has \u200da \u2062real \u2063record\u200c of delivering on\u200d the issues Americans care\u2063 about: beating Big\u200b Pharma to lower\u2063 costs, securing bipartisan \u200cfunding to\u200d repair\u200b our roads \u200band bridges, and has brought manufacturing\u200c jobs \u200dback to \u2064the \u2063United \u200dStates. And we&#8217;re\u2062 just getting started,&#8221; Kevin \u200dMunoz, a spokesperson for \u2062the \u200bBiden \u200breelection campaign, added. &#8220;MAGA\u200b Republicans would\u200d rather talk \u200dabout \u200ddivisive culture war issues than the\u2062 fact that they&#8217;ve \u200bmade their \u2063bed with\u2062 special interests and empty promises. That&#8217;s a\u200d record Americans have \u200brejected over and over and will again in 2024.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>For months,\u200b top White House officials \u2062have stressed that\u200c Biden&#8217;s poor economic \u200cpolling\u2062 is only temporary.\u200c Those figures will \u2064rise, they say, as \u2064more\u200c of\u2062 the \u2063president&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/top-biden-adviser-departing-white-house-at-months-end\/\" title=\"Biden's top adviser leaving White House soon.\">landmark spending packages<\/a>,\u200d including the bipartisan infrastructure law, CHIPS and Science Act, and \u200cInflation\u200b Reduction\u200d Act, are implemented,\u200c extending savings and lowering \u2064costs for\u2062 families in the process.<\/p>\n<p>White House press secretary Karine \u200bJean-Pierre \u200dtouched\u200c on those\u200b themes \u2062during Wednesday&#8217;s \u200bWhite House\u200b press briefing.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;The polls don&#8217;t tell the \u2062full story, and we don&#8217;t \u200bunderstand that.\u2063 The data\u200d shows \u2062the combination of\u200d unemployment\u2063 and inflation is near historic \u2063lows. \u200bThat&#8217;s what \u2064we have seen.\u2063 Consumer confidence \u200bis increasing, and also wages are \u2064rising. That&#8217;s what \u200ccertainly\u200c the \u2062data \u200bis showing,&#8221; she told reporters when \u200casked\u2064 about Biden&#8217;s \u200dpolls. &#8220;The\u2062 polls \u2063don&#8217;t tell\u200b the entire story, and so we&#8217;re \u200bgonna \u200dcontinue to have the\u2062 conversation. \u200dWe&#8217;re going\u200b to continue \u2064to have a conversation\u200c with the\u200b American people.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>National Economic Council Director\u200b Lael Brainard similarly voiced optimism in a speech \u2063before \u200bthe Economic Club \u2063of New \u200cYork \u2063last \u200bweek.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;From the \u200ddata \u2063alone, it \u200dwould\u200c be hard to find\u2062 clues that the U.S. economy was in the midst of a protracted global \u200cpandemic just two\u2062 years ago and a war-driven shock to energy and \u2062food prices\u2062 just\u200b one \u2062year ago,&#8221;\u2063 she stated.\u200d &#8220;In the\u2062 weeks and months ahead, we will continue working diligently to\u2063 support growth that\u200b benefits the middle class\u200d through smart public investments,\u2064 educating \u200band empowering workers, and lowering the \u200bcost \u2062of living. This approach will allow us \u2063to achieve growth that is more resilient and broadly shared, where economic gains flow to hard-working \u2062Americans.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>There is\u2063 anecdotal \u200bevidence to\u200b suggest\u2062 that Biden&#8217;s\u2063 poor economic polling won&#8217;t\u2062 affect his performance in the 2024 election. \u200dHeading\u2064 into the\u200d 2022 \u200dmidterm\u200d elections, virtually the same number \u2062of people viewed the president&#8217;s economic stewardship \u200dunfavorably as today, yet \u2064Democrats managed to hold on \u200dto \u2064their \u2064Senate majority \u2064and\u200d minimize their \u200closses in \u2064the\u2064 House.<\/p>\n<p>And \u2063there are positive data\u200b points\u200c the president \u200bcan hang\u200d his hat on \u200bheading \u200dinto the\u200c general cycle.
