Sondland Sues Pompeo, State Department for .8M in Legal Fees\">closed-door testimony<\/a> to\u2063 Congress \u200dunder \u200cthe alias &#8220;Whistleblower\u2063 X.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<h3>Prosecutors&#8217; Obstruction and Favoritism<\/h3>\n<p> \u2063 <\/p>\n<p>Ziegler \u200cand \u2064his \u200bformer\u2062 IRS supervisor, longtime special \u200cagent \u200dGary \u2062Shapley, said during\u200c the House\u200c Oversight\u200d Committee hearing \u200bon \u2064Wednesday\u2064 that federal\u2062 prosecutors\u200b blocked agents \u200dfrom asking \u2062about \u2062Joe Biden while questioning witnesses, tipped \u2064off\u200d the \u200dBiden \u200bpresidential\u200c transition team about the investigators\u2019 next \u200dsteps, and delayed search warrants. Their testimony comes one month after\u2063 Hunter\u2064 Biden\u2063 reached a plea deal\u200d with prosecutors on \u2062<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/second-irs-whistleblower-reveals-identity-at-congress-hearing-on-hunter-biden-probe\/\" title=\"Second IRS whistleblower discloses identity during congressional hearing on Hunter Biden investigation.\">misdemeanor\u2062 tax charges<\/a>,\u200d which Ways\u2062 and Means Committee chairman \u2062Jason\u2062 Smith \u200b(R., \u200cMo.) described as \u200da \u2063&#8221;sweetheart agreement.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<h3>Breaking the Investigative Process<\/h3>\n<p>\u200d \u2063 <\/p>\n<p>Prosecutors &#8220;did not appear \u2062to follow the \u200dnormal \u2064investigative\u2064 process, slow-walked the investigation,\u200b and\u200d put \u2063in\u200b place\u2064 unnecessary\u200c approvals and road blocks from effectively \u2062and\u2064 efficiently \u200caddressing the \u200bcase. \u2064A lot \u200bof times, \u2064we\u200b were \u200bnot able \u2063to \u200bfollow the facts,&#8221;\u200c Ziegler said.<\/p>\n<p>He said prosecutors \u200drepeatedly tried\u200d to block\u2062 agents from following\u2064 standard investigative \u200cprocedures. At \u200cone point, Ziegler \u2062said Assistant U.S. Attorney \u200cfor \u2064Delaware\u2062 Lesley\u200c Wolf warned that he would \u2064be\u200c in &#8220;hot\u200c water&#8221; if \u2064he tried to \u200binterview President\u200d Biden\u2019s\u2064 adult grandchildren,\u200c who \u200dwere named \u2064as\u200d part\u200d of \u200bfalse tax \u2063deductions\u2063 made by Hunter Biden.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<h3>A \u200dDuty\u2062 to \u200dSpeak Out<\/h3>\n<p>Ziegler said\u200c he \u200dwas initially \u2063worried about revealing his identity,\u2063 adding \u200dthat some \u2062critics\u200d have\u200c accused \u2064him \u2064of being \u200da\u2064 &#8220;traitor\u200d to \u200bthe Democratic \u2062Party.&#8221;\u200c But \u2064he said he\u2064 felt\u2063 a\u200c &#8220;duty&#8221; \u2063to\u200d speak \u200cout.<\/p>\n<p>\u2064 \u200c <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I equate \u2064this to\u2062 the experience \u2063and\u200b feelings \u2064I encountered \u2064when\u2063 coming out [as gay],&#8221; said Ziegler. \u2064&#8221;It \u2063was, honestly, \u200done\u2062 of the hardest \u200cthings I ever \u200cwent through.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n\u200d  <\/p>\n<h3>Two-Track Justice System<\/h3>\n<p>\u200c  <\/p>\n<p>Shapley\u200c said\u200d the Hunter\u200c Biden\u2062 probe \u2062was &#8220;very\u2064 different \u200cthan any\u200c other case in \u200dmy 14\u200c years in the\u200d IRS. At\u2064 every \u2063stage \u2063decisions \u2062were\u200c made that \u200cbenefited the subject of this\u2062 investigation.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>\u200d  <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;There\u200b should \u2064not be \u200ba \u2062two<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/irs-whistleblower-x-a-gay-democrat-reveals-identity-and-tells-congress-he-was-blocked-from-investigating-hunter-biden\/\" title=\"IRS 'Whistleblower X,' a Gay Democrat, Exposes Identity, Claims Congress Blocked Hunter Biden Investigation.\">-track justice \u200dsystem\u200b depending<\/a>\u200d on who\u2062 you are and\u2063 who \u2062you\u2019re connected to,&#8221; said \u2062Shapley. \u200c&#8221;In this \u200dcase, there was, based on my experience.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n\u200d  <\/p>\n<h3>Questionable Charges and\u200d DOJ Policy<\/h3>\n<p> \u200b\u2064 <\/p>\n<p>The\u2064 former IRS agents \u200csaid \u2062the\u200d case\u2062 against Biden should\u200c have automatically \u2062carried a felony charge \u2064under Department \u2064of \u200bJustice rules.\u200d They \u2062also \u2063noted that the four\u2063 prosecutors \u200dassigned to \u200bthe\u2064 case \u2062recommended felony charges last \u2063August, \u2062but\u200d Biden ultimately \u2064only faced misdemeanor\u2064 charges.<\/p>\n<p>\u200c  <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;In\u2064 August \u200cof 2022, the\u2062 assigned prosecutors, \u200dall \u2063four \u200cattorneys,\u200c agreed to \u2063recommend\u200c felony \u200cand \u2062misdemeanor charges\u200c for\u2064 the \u20632017, \u201818, and \u201819 \u200btax years,&#8221;\u200d said Ziegler.\u200c &#8220;That\u2064 didn\u2019t\u200c happen \u2064here\u200d and I am \u200dnot \u200csure \u2062why.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p> \u200d \u2064<\/p>\n<p>He said\u200b the DOJ\u2062 tax \u2064division policy states that \u200dcases \u200c&#8221;involving\u200b individuals who fail \u200bto \u200bfile \u2062tax returns \u2064or pay \u2062a tax, \u2063but\u2062 also\u2062 commit acts of\u200b evasion\u2062 and obstruction,\u200b should also\u2063 be charged as \u2063felonies\u200d to \u200davoid inequitable \u200btreatment.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n\u2063  \u2063<\/p>\n<h3>Democrats Accuse \u200dRepublicans\u2063 of Hypocrisy<\/h3>\n<p>\u200d  <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;There seems to\u2064 be a \u2063new level of hypocrisy here,&#8221; \u200dsaid Rep.
