Department officials, including\u2062 those who have \u2064left the \u200dDepartment,\u2064 are obligated \u200dto protect non-public information they obtained during their work. Jones also issued a warning, \u2064stating that \u2064the agent\u200d should\u2064 not \u200drespond\u2064 to questions seeking non-public information that could be covered\u200d by executive privilege or other significant confidentiality \u2062interests.<\/p>\n<p>The letter instructed the agent to defer \u200bto the FBI&#8217;s Office \u200cof Congressional \u2064Affairs, allowing the \u2063Department of\u2063 Justice to balance the committee&#8217;s need\u2064 for information while <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/bombshell-letter-fbi-warned-hunter-biden-investigator-to-decline-to-respond-to-house-oversight-committee-question\/\" title=\"FBI advised Hunter Biden investigator to not answer House Oversight Committee query.\">protecting executive branch confidentiality\u200d interests<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3>Confirmation of \u200cAllegations \u2062by IRS\u200d Whistleblowers<\/h3>\n<p>The House \u200dOversight Committee revealed\u200c that\u200d an FBI special agent\u200d confirmed allegations\u200d made by two IRS\u200b whistleblowers. The\u200c agent \u2064testified \u200bthat the Secret Service headquarters and \u2063the Biden transition team were informed \u2062in advance \u200dof\u2063 the IRS and FBI criminal investigators&#8217;\u2062 interview with Hunter Biden in\u200d December \u20622020.<\/p>\n<p>As \u2063a result,\u200d the IRS and\u2064 FBI investigators \u2064were \u2062unable to interview Hunter Biden\u200c as part \u200bof\u2063 their investigation.\u200c The committee stated, \u200b&#8221;The former FBI supervisory special agent\u2063 told committee investigators he had \u200bnever been \u200dtold to \u2064wait outside \u200cto be contacted by the subject of \u200ban investigation.
