They \u2063discovered that \u2062he\u2064 had a\u200d profile on the \u200ddating\u200c app Tinder \u200dunder the alias Andrew Roberts.\u200b This account was connected to\u200c a \u200dburner phone \u200cthrough\u2063 an AOL \u2064email address using the name \u2062John\u2063 Springfield. Shockingly, the\u200c suspect\u200b had sent \u2062several selfie\u200d photographs to\u2064 others\u200d using this account.\u200c Cell phone records \u2063revealed that he\u2064 had used his \u200cown phone to access \u2062the \u200dfictitious AOL account\u2064 on December 11, \u200c2022, the \u200bsame\u2063 day \u2064Barthelemy&#8217;s \u2063<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/heres-how-a-pizza-box-and-hair-led-police-to-the-suspected-gilgo-beach-serial-killer\/\" title=\"Pizza box and hair help police find suspected Gilgo Beach serial killer.\">phone activity\u200d abruptly ceased<\/a>. The associated burner \u2062number was also used to \u200baccess \u200dthe account.<\/p>\n<p>Investigators found that\u2064 the additional burner phones\u2063 had been \u200bextensively used to hire \u200bprostitutes\u200c between 2021\u2063 and\u200c 2023. They also discovered\u2062 another email account associated with the\u2063 suspect,\u200c which had conducted searches related to \u2064sex\u2064 workers,\u2062 torture porn,\u2063 and child pornography. \u200dThis\u2063 account had also\u200d performed over \u200c200 searches \u2062related to \u200dthe \u2063Gilgo \u2063Beach killings \u200cand the task \u2064force investigating\u2062 them.<\/p>\n<h3>The\u2062 Hair \u200cand Pizza\u2064 Breakthrough<\/h3>\n<p>During\u2063 the examination of \u200bBrainard-Barnes, \u2063Costello,\u2063 and\u200b Waterman&#8217;s remains,\u200b the \u2063Suffolk\u2063 County Crime \u200cLab \u2063made \u2063a chilling\u200d discovery: unidentified female hair. This \u200chair\u2064 was \u200dsent to\u200c a forensic\u200b laboratory, which \u200ddetermined that\u200d it \u2064all\u2064 belonged \u2062to the \u200bsame woman \u2063who was not\u2063 one of the\u200d victims. On July\u2062 21, 2022, an\u200b undercover\u2064 detective \u2064from the Suffolk\u2062 County Police \u200dDepartment collected 11 bottles\u200c from \u2064the suspect&#8217;s \u2062trash. DNA analysis of the contents linked the DNA to the hair \u200dfound on \u200cthe \u2064victims, \u2063and\u2063 it is believed\u2063 to belong to \u200bthe suspect&#8217;s wife, who is not suspected\u2062 of involvement \u2062in\u200c the\u200d murders.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore,\u200b a\u2062 male hair\u200c was\u2064 found on Waterman&#8217;s remains,\u2064 and the forensic lab used it to develop a DNA \u2062profile.\u200b Investigators retrieved a pizza \u200bbox\u200b from the suspect&#8217;s garbage can and \u2062matched the \u2064DNA from\u200c the\u2064 box \u200dto the male\u200c hair \u200cstrand\u200b found on the victim.
