According \u200bto <a \u200dhref=\"https:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/news\/politics\/2023\/07\/18\/takeaways-no-labels-town-hall-manchin-huntsman\/70420066007\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">USA \u200dToday<\/a>, the \u2062group,\u200b which\u2063 wants a third-party \u2064candidate in \u200cthe ballot \u200cin \u2063all \u206250 states, is looking\u2062 for candidates who will \u200d\u201cdeclare their freedom from the anger\u200c and\u200c divisiveness that\u200d are\u200c ruining our\u2064 politics\u2062 and\u200c most \u200bimportantly,\u200c our\u200d country.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Perhaps\u200d most \u200bnotably, one of \u200dthe\u2064 organization\u2019s\u2062 honorary co-chairs\u200b is West\u2064 Virginia \u2064Democratic Sen. \u2064Joe Manchin, \u200bwho\u2063 was\u200c in attendance \u200cat the\u2062 New Hampshire gathering. Manchin \u200cwould\u2064 make \u200csignificant waves, of \u200bcourse,\u2064 were he to win\u2064 the group\u2019s nomination. (Former Republican \u200cUtah\u2062 Gov. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/us-ambassador-russia-jon-huntsman-resigns\/\" \u200ctarget=\"_blank\"\u200d rel=\"noopener\">Jon Huntsman<\/a> \u2014 who ran\u2062 in \u2062the 2012 GOP presidential primaries \u2014\u2062 was \u2063the other.)<\/p>\n<p>In an interview\u200b with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/speculation-no-labels-third-party-presidential-ticket-soars-manchin-appear-centrist-groups-summit\"\u200c target=\"_blank\" \u2063rel=\"noopener\">Fox\u2063 News<\/a>,\u2063 founding\u200d co-chair Joe \u200bLieberman \u2014 a conservative-ish Democrat-turned-independent who\u2064 was Al\u200c Gore\u2019s\u200b running mate \u200bin the 2000 election and served as a \u2063senator from\u200b Connecticut\u200c from 1989 until 2013 \u2063\u2014\u200d said\u2064 the group\u2064 has\u2064 not\u200c yet\u2062 decided on \u200cactually \u200crunning a\u200b third-party\u2064 candidacy, \u2063but suggested it was likely.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe haven\u2019t \u2063decided to run a \u200bticket. It\u2019s not even clear\u2064 that if it \u200cends\u200c up being \u200dTrump and Biden, as \u200cit\u2063 looks \u200dlike\u200b it will now, that\u2063 we\u2019ll\u200c do that,\u201d \u200bhe\u200c said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI \u2064think No Labels \u200binvited Joe\u200d Manchin\u2064 and Jon Huntsman\u200d because they\u2019re former chairs of \u2063our organization and they represent\u200b centrist \u200bDemocrats, centrist \u200cRepublicans, which is what we\u2019re about,\u201d\u200c Lieberman continued.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI \u2063guess it\u2019s natural for people to \u2062speculate, \u200dparticularly\u200c in \u2062Manchin\u2019s \u2062case whether\u2064 it means he will\u200c run on \u200ca possible No\u200d Labels ticket year. It\u2019s way \u2064too early to say\u200b that. \u200dI\u200d think Joe hasn\u2019t \u200ddecided \u2062that at all,\u2062 as he\u2019s \u200dsaid,\u2062 and No \u2064Labels hasn\u2019t decided \u2062it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Well,\u2062 cue the \u2062freakout from Navarro. While the former \u2063GOP \u2063operative\u2062 noted that her husband, conservative political\u2062 strategist \u200cAl\u200d C\u00e1rdenas,\u2064 had been involved \u2062with No\u2064 Labels\u200b in the \u2062past,\u2062 this was just\u00a0<em>too\u200c far.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u200c think this is the \u2062stupidest thing\u200b ever,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/cnns-ana-navarro-ruthlessly-mocks-kyle-rittenhouse-crying-trial\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Navarro<\/a> said \u200con Monday\u2019s edition\u200b of \u201cThe View.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cAnd\u2064 let me\u2063 just \u2064say this, \u2063my husband\u200c has \u200dbeen \u200dvery\u200d supportive of No Labels,\u201d Navarro \u2064continued. \u200d\u201cHe\u2019s\u2062 been \u200da part of\u2064 No Labels. When \u2064No Labels started,\u2064 one of \u2062the things\u200b they\u2064 did \u2062was bring\u200b together a\u200b bunch of\u2063 people\u2063 in \u2062Congress,\u2063 Senate and \u200cHouse, with \u2062a bipartisan \u2064agenda. It was\u200b Republicans and \u2062Democrats \u2063trying to work\u2064 together \u200bon some of the\u200b crises that we have in this\u2064 nation,\u200d and I think that part is so \u200cneeded and so \u2064great.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut this is\u2064 dangerous because \u2014 \u2062let\u2019s \u2062just put things in context,\u201d \u200cshe added. \u201cThis\u200b is not \u200ca normal thing. \u200dThis is not Bill\u2062 Clinton versus\u2062 George Herbert Walker Bush\u200d with\u200c Ross \u200bPerot playing spoiler. <em>No<\/em>.\u200d This is \u200bDonald\u2062 Trump.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe is a \u200dthreat\u200b to national security. He has threatened \u200dour \u200cdemocracy. He caused \u2063an\u200c insurrection.\u2064 He has weaponized government against his enemies and so\u200b if you, Jon\u200c Huntsman or \u200dJoe\u2062 Lieberman\u200b \u2014 I love you,\u2063 Joe \u200bLieberman, but\u200b you\u2019ve\u2063 got to\u2062 stop this, Joe. Joe, Joe,\u200d this\u2062 is\u200b insane, and\u2062 you \u200dcannot do\u200d anything, anything that could possibly \u200chelp \u2063Donald Trump \u200cbecome president. You\u2062 cannot \u2062be an accomplice on\u2062 that. You \u2062are better than\u2064 that, Joe.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Just so \u2063we\u2019re clear,\u2063 it\u2019s\u2064 great when third-party candidates spoil the chances\u2064 of a\u200d Republican \u200dincumbent \u2014 \u200bnotice \u2063she \u2064didn\u2019t mention Ralph Nader or Jill Stein\u2019s 2000 and 2016 respective Green \u200dParty \u200bruns, which the \u200bprofessional\u2063 Democrat class \u2064continues to blame\u2062 for \u2062GOP wins\u2062 in those years.\u2062 But \u2062at times like this, it\u2019s\u2063 <em>dangerous<\/em>,\u2064 because\u2063 Donald Trump\u200c is \u200bliterally the scariest person ever \u2014 or at least until\u200b the\u200b next Republican nominee for president.<\/p>\n<p>What\u2019s funny is that, \u2064ordinarily, one \u200dwould \u2063expect \u200ba\u2064 No Labels candidate\u2064 \u2014 particularly Manchin \u200c\u2014 to\u2064 detract more \u2063from <em>Trump<\/em>, if\u2063 Trump \u200dwere\u2064 to be\u2063 the GOP \u2062nominee.<\/p>\n<p>Gary Johnson\u2019s Libertarian Party \u200crun \u2063in 2016, for\u2062 instance,\u2062 took <a href=\"https:\/\/ballotpedia.org\/Presidential_election,_2016\" target=\"_blank\"\u2062 rel=\"noopener\">3.3 \u200cpercent<\/a> of\u200d the\u200c vote, an abnormally \u2062high\u2062 tally \u200dfor \u2063a Libertarian candidate. Most\u2063 of these\u200c voters were likely\u200c moderate\u200b Republican\u200b defectors. \u2064Johnson\u2062 could well have taken more, too, \u2062were \u2064it not \u2062for a \u2062series\u200b of gaffes \u200dthat made the \u200dformer \u2064New\u2064 Mexico governor look far more unready \u200dthan either of the\u2062 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/the-view-co-host-freaks-out-over-curveball-that-could-cause-bidens-presidential-reign-to-end\/\" title=\"'The View' Co-Host's Panic as Curveball Threatens Biden's Presidency.\">major-party\u200b presidential \u200bcandidates<\/a>.
