This essentially tipped off a\u200c group of people\u2062 very close to \u200bPresident Biden and \u200cHunter\u200c Biden \u200dand gave this group\u200c an opportunity\u200b to\u200d obstruct \u2064the approach on \u2063the witnesses.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>And \u2063obstruct they did.<\/p>\n<p>Instead \u200dof\u200c getting\u200c an 8 a.m. interview with an unprepared <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/hunter-biden-stares-barrel-doj-investigation-vanity-fair-runs-puff-piece-art-career\/\" target=\"_blank\"\u200d rel=\"noopener\">target of \u2064their\u2062 investigation<\/a>, \u200dShapley and the FBI agent \u200dwere ordered to cool\u200b their \u2062heels until Hunter called\u200b <em>them<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Astute Americans can probably\u200b guess what happened.<\/p>\n<p>According\u200b to\u200c Shapley, \u200dhe\u2062 and Gordon waited in a car outside Hunter\u2019s home \u2062until \u2063getting \u200ba phone\u200b call from \u200dan FBI \u2064supervisor \u2062who \u200bsaid\u2063 they would \u200cbe\u200c contacted by Hunter Biden\u2019s attorneys.<\/p>\n<p>When the attorneys\u2062 did \u200bcall, they said \u200bthey\u2019d \u2064be\u200d willing\u200d to accept \u200bany papers Shapley \u2064and\u200c Gordon had \u200cbrought, Shapley\u200d said, but said \u200ctheir client \u2063wouldn\u2019t\u2062 be talking questions.<\/p>\n<p>So, instead\u2064 of \u200can\u2064 interview on Dec. 8,\u200b the \u200binvestigators got \u2014\u2064 along \u200cwith \u2062the\u2063 rest of\u2062 the world \u2014\u2064 a \u200b<a\u2063 href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/jaketapper\/status\/1336777206182404097\"\u2064 target=\"_blank\" \u200drel=\"noopener\">statement\u200b from \u2062Hunter<\/a> that \u201cI learned\u2063 yesterday for \u2062the\u200d first time \u200bthat the \u200dU.S. Attorney\u2019s \u200cOffice \u2062in\u2062 Delaware\u200d advise my legal counsel, also \u200dyesterday, that \u200dthey are investigating my tax \u200daffairs.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It \u2063must be \u2062nice to be a Biden.
