Little did she know \u2062that one of \u200bthe \u2063men she granted\u2062 clemency to \u2063would\u200d later\u200b become a person of\u2062 interest\u200c in the shocking\u200c killings of four \u200cwomen in 2023.<\/p>\n<h3>A\u2063 Troubling Turn of Events<\/h3>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">The 38-year-old man, whose clemency has now \u200bbeen revoked, \u200bis currently\u2063 in custody at Snake River Correctional Institution\u2064 in Ontario. Interestingly, he is\u200c facing\u200d charges unrelated to \u200cthe murders. When officers \u2062attempted to arrest this <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/how-the-media-reacted-to-rush-limbaughs-death\/\" title=\"How The Media Reacted To Rush Limbaugh\u2019s Death\">towering figure<\/a>,\u2062 standing at 6\u20194\u201d \u2064and \u2063weighing 266\u2064 pounds, he even tried to escape \u2064by swimming away in the \u2064Willamette River. According \u200bto\u200d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wweek.com\/news\/courts\/2023\/07\/17\/law-enforcement-officials-suspect-a-multnomah-county-man-released-early-from-prison-is-a-serial-killer\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Willamette Week<\/a>, the attorney\u2062 who had been representing him is no longer \u200bdoing\u2062 so.<\/p>\n<h3>A\u200d Conditional \u2064Commutation \u2064Gone Wrong<\/h3>\n<p\u2064 style=\"font-weight: 400\">On March 5, 2021, the\u2062 man was granted a \u201cconditional commutation\u201d and \u200dreleased in July \u200c2021,\u200d almost a \u200cyear earlier than his \u2064projected release\u2063 date.\u200c Unfortunately,\u2064 he\u200d is now being \u2064linked\u200b to the deaths of Kristin Smith, Charity Perry,\u2062 Bridget Webster, and Ashley Real.<\/p>\n<h3>A \u2062Troubled Past<\/h3>\n<p\u200b style=\"font-weight: 400\">This man had \u2064a history \u2064of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/former-dem-oregon-governor-freed-hundreds-of-inmates-early-now-one-is-reportedly-person-of-interest-in-deaths-of-four-young-women\/\" title=\"Ex-Dem Oregon Governor Released Inmates Early; One Now Suspected in Deaths of Four Women.\">multiple\u200c felonies dating back<\/a>\u2064 to 2004. In November\u2063 2019, he\u200d pleaded guilty \u200bto burglary,\u2062 unauthorized \u200dpossession of \u2062a stolen vehicle, and injuring a police officer\u2063 during \u2064an\u2062 attempted arrest.<\/p>\n<h3>A\u2064 Controversial \u200bDecision<\/h3>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Governor Brown&#8217;s\u2063 decision to reduce \u2062the sentences\u200b of this man and around 40 other inmates\u200b came after \u2063they had served alongside other inmates\u200c fighting wildfires. However, little\u200d did she \u200cknow the consequences that\u200d would\u2064 follow.<\/p>\n<h2>A \u2064String\u2062 of \u200cGruesome\u200c Discoveries<\/h2>\n<p style=\"font-weight: \u2064400\">On June \u200b1, 2023, The \u200cOregonian reported the discovery of\u200b six young women&#8217;s bodies since\u2063 mid-February. The victims included \u200bKristin Smith, Joanna Speaks, Charity Perry, \u200ban unidentified woman,\u2064 Bridget Webster, and\u200d Ashley\u200d Real.\u2064 These horrifying\u2064 events sent shockwaves through the community.<\/p>\n<h2>Reflections on the Tragedy<\/h2>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Governor Brown expressed her\u200c deep sorrow for\u200d the victims, their \u2064families, and all those affected\u2064 by these\u200c devastating\u200c losses.
