His\u200d approval\u2062 ratings\u2063 are\u200c <a href=\"https:\/\/www.realclearpolitics.com\/epolls\/latest_polls\/\">in \u200bthe\u200d tank<\/a>, \u2063and \u2063a stunning \u200b72 \u200dpercent of Americans \u200cthink the \u2062country is \u2064on the \u200d\u201c<a \u2063href=\"https:\/\/www.ipsos.com\/en-us\/reuters-ipsos-core-political-survey-presidential-approval-tracker-july-2023\" target=\"_blank\" \u200drel=\"noreferrer noopener\">wrong \u2063track<\/a>,\u201d \u2063according to a recent \u200bsurvey.\u2063 Biden\u2019s cognitive\u2062 decline\u2064 is \u2064embarrassingly obvious. He\u2064 is \u200dalready 80 \u2062years old\u2063 \u2014 the \u200coldest \u200bpresident \u2063the \u200ccountry has ever had. He would\u2064 be\u200b 86 at the end of a second \u2062term, assuming he lived \u2064that long,\u2064 which\u200b troubles even his supporters.<\/p>\n<h3>The \u200dStench of \u2062Corruption<\/h3>\n<p>On \u2062top \u2064of all \u2064of \u2062this, he is surrounded \u200bby the\u2063 stench of <a\u200d href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/01\/16\/house-republicans-are-investigating-damning-evidence-of-corruption-not-hunter-biden\/\" \u200ctarget=\"_blank\" \u2064rel=\"noreferrer\u200c noopener\">corruption<\/a>: \u200cHouse \u200bRepublican investigators say they\u200d have evidence \u200dthat Biden and his\u2062 family \u200breceived\u200d $10 million\u200c (possibly many millions more) through\u2062 complicated financial back channels from Ukrainian,\u2062 Chinese,\u200b and Romanian sources. Moreover, the \u2062evidence comes not only \u200dfrom\u200b Hunter Biden\u2019s \u200dlaptop\u2062 and from the testimony of Hunter\u2019s business\u200c associates, but from\u200d suspicious activity\u200b reports that banks filed with the \u200cTreasury.<\/p>\n<p>Add to that the\u2062 testimony \u2062of\u2063 credible\u2062 IRS whistleblowers\u2062 claiming Hunter got\u2064 <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/06\/22\/irs-whistleblower-docs-show-doj-obstructed-investigation-into-his-son-to-protect-joe-biden\/\" \u200btarget=\"_blank\" \u200crel=\"noreferrer \u200dnoopener\">break\u200d after \u2063break<\/a> from \u2062the \u200bJustice Department \u200bofficials who \u2064were supposed \u2064to\u2062 be investigating \u2062him, that his \u200dplea \u2063bargain with them\u2062 was a <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/06\/21\/hunter-biden-plea-deal-on-five-year-old-crimes-shows-biden-protection-racket-at-work\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">sweetheart deal<\/a>, and that he\u200d made off with millions \u2064in unpaid\u200c taxes \u2014 now\u2062 not collectible.<\/p>\n<p>And don\u2019t\u2062 forget\u2062 about the <a \u2062href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/07\/06\/the-white-house-that-tracked-down-grannies-after-capitol-riot-wants-you-to-believe-cocaine-caper-has-them-stumped\/\" \u2063target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">pouch of \u200ccocaine<\/a> found\u200b in\u2063 Biden\u2019s White\u200b House (which the president\u2064 laughs off) or his\u200c seventh grandchild \u2063(whom \u200dhe <a \u2062href=\"https:\/\/archive.is\/zrqZl\" \u200btarget=\"_blank\"\u2063 rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">doesn\u2019t acknowledge<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s\u2062 not \u2064a good \u200blook \u2064for a president up for reelection \u2014\u2064 especially\u200b one \u200cwhom <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2020\/09\/15\/the-worst-lying-bully-in-the-2020-presidential-race-is-joe-biden\/\" \u200dtarget=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer\u2062 noopener\">shameless legacy \u200cmedia<\/a> shelter from hard questioning. What if they turned on him?<\/p>\n<p>Biden \u2063has become \u2064more of a liability than \u200can asset. \u200bIn such circumstances, a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/why-this-average-american-is-voting-for-donald-trump\/\" title=\"Why This Average American Is Voting for Donald Trump\">political party<\/a> \u200dwould \u2062normally\u200b search\u200c for a different \u200dpresidential candidate. \u2062The Democrats \u200bcould \u2063focus attention on, \u2062let\u2019s\u200c say,\u200c <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/06\/26\/california-gov-gavin-newsom-the-groomed-from-birth-leftist-who-expects-to-be-president\/\" \u200ctarget=\"_blank\" \u2063rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Gov.\u2062 Gavin Newsom<\/a> of\u200d California. And \u200bif \u2062the\u2062 will \u200cwere there, it \u200bwould \u2063not be unduly \u200dhard to ease Biden out of the\u200d Oval Office. A\u2064 delegation of top \u200dDemocrat leaders could have\u2064 a\u2064 private conversation \u2063with him, thank\u200d him for his service in \u200ddefeating Donald\u200d Trump, and\u2063 tell him\u200b it \u200dis \u200dtime to go. \u2064Or \u2064The \u200dNew\u200b York Times and The \u2064Washington\u2063 Post could begin \u2064publicizing Biden scandals\u2062 instead \u200cof <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/05\/11\/nyt-reports-on-bombshell-evidence-of-biden-influence-peddling-scheme-by-denying-it-exists\/\"\u2063 target=\"_blank\"\u2062 rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">chloroforming<\/a> the stories.<\/p>\n<p>Even\u2064 if all that \u2064failed,\u200d the\u2062 Democrats could\u2062 ask\u2064 their \u2062<a\u200c href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/03\/18\/spygate-101-a-primer-on-the-russia-collusion-hoaxs-years-long-plot-to-take-down-trump\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">deep-state enforcers<\/a> in the FBI and CIA\u200c to\u200b pay \u2062him a\u2062 visit, show him a \u200ddossier\u2064 of the nasty\u200b secrets\u200b they\u200d have on him and his\u200c family,\u2064 and\u2062 threaten to \u2062spill\u2064 them \u200ball\u200d if he \u2062does \u200cnot vanish from\u2062 the scene.<\/p>\n<p>But the\u2064 Democrats are not a normal party,\u200d and they simply\u200c can\u2019t ditch Biden \u2014 \u2063not even \u200dif running Biden again\u200b carries the \u2062risk\u2064 that \u200da \u200b<a href=\"https:\/\/www.msn.com\/en-us\/news\/politics\/democrats-fears-of-a-third-party-candidate-escalate\/ar-AA1dG5R9?ocid=msedgdhp&#038;pc=U531&#038;cvid=3f3fd339c4694f97a386af4df2f1648b&#038;ei=14\" target=\"_blank\" \u200drel=\"noreferrer\u200c noopener\">third-party\u200c candidate<\/a>\u200c might emerge, or\u2064 that\u2063 Donald Trump might\u200c be <a href=\"https:\/\/www.msn.com\/en-us\/news\/politics\/trump-and-biden-in-dog-fight-new-national-poll-reverses-earlier-2024-election-projections\/ar-AA1dJmjZ?ocid=msedgdhp&#038;pc=U531&#038;cvid=adbb9661bf474ce8b1721e8c6c8bb2de&#038;ei=11\" \u2063target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer \u2063noopener\">elected again<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>The \u200bKennedy Factor<\/h2>\n<p>Why\u200d is this? One piece\u2062 of\u200b the answer\u2063 is \u2064that if\u2063 Biden\u200c were \u2063dropped, the heiress-apparent \u200bwould be his vice president: Kamala Harris. If nothing else is \u200cobvious \u2062in American \u200bpolitics, \u200cthe \u2064fact that Harris\u200b is <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2021\/07\/01\/kamala-harris-is-the-case-against-affirmative-action\/\" \u2063target=\"_blank\"\u2062 rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">not a good \u200cpolitician<\/a> is\u2063 beyond\u200b clear. \u2063However,\u200c throwing her under the bus\u2063 would\u200c be awkward and \u200dnasty \u200bbecause \u2062she represents the\u200d triumph \u200bof \u200cintersectionality \u2014 the core Democrat ideological position.<\/p>\n<p>The \u200dmain reason why the Democrats can\u2019t\u2063 ditch Biden, however,\u2064 is\u200c that \u2064it would open up\u200d the\u200b nomination to \u2063primaries and \u200bpublic debate. And in those\u2062 primaries, Newsom and Harris would not\u200b be the only\u2063 contenders.\u200d They\u2019d be \u2063joined by\u200b Robert Kennedy\u200d Jr., the\u2064 69-year-old lawyer son\u2063 of Robert Kennedy, \u200cwho was\u2063 assassinated\u2064 while\u2064 campaigning for the Democrat nomination in 1968, and the nephew of former \u200bDemocrat President John\u2063 F.\u200c Kennedy.<\/p>\n<p>The Kennedy name is \u200ba\u2063 unique asset.\u200b It \u200dcarries \u200ban\u2064 unequaled \u200dmystique\u2064 in\u2064 American politics: \u200cNeither\u2064 the Bush nor\u200c the would-be Clinton dynasties \u200bcan\u2062 touch it. To\u200c this\u200b day, millions of \u2062Americans, especially older Democrats,\u2064 look back with \u2064nostalgia \u200cat the \u200dCamelot\u2062 years of \u2064JFK. Though\u2062 one or two <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/establishment-democrats-cant-ditch-biden-because-of-likable-old-schoolers-like-rfk-jr\/\" title=\"Establishment Dems Stick with Biden Due to RFK Jr. and Old-School Charm.\">bizarro left-wing commentators<\/a> <a\u200c href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/media\/nbc-reporter-clashes-rfk-jr-tense-interview-about-candidacy-vaccines-maybe-youre-democrat\">have said<\/a>\u200c that RFK is not\u2064 a\u2064 true Democrat, \u2063polls \u200dreported\u2062 that RFK Jr. commanded \u2064a significant percentage of the Democratic Party\u2063 vote \u2063right \u2064out \u200dof the box.<\/p>\n<p>After weeks of shellacking (as\u2062 a \u201cconspiracy\u201d theorist) \u2064by\u2063 the \u200blapdog press,\u2064 he\u2019s still around\u200d 14-<a \u200chref=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/homenews\/campaign\/4054131-rfk-jr-holds-15-percent-support-in-democratic-primary-poll\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">15 \u200cpercent<\/a>\u200c \u2014 with \u2063<a href=\"https:\/\/archive.is\/gBosX\">high favorability<\/a> \u2062ratings as \u200cwell. He might run \u200dunopposed \u200bin the\u2063 Democrats\u2019 New\u200c Hampshire \u200bprimary, where \u200c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bostonherald.com\/2023\/07\/03\/biden-should-watch-rfk-jr-pundits-say-kennedy-will-likely-win-new-hampshire-primary\/\" \u2062target=\"_blank\" \u200drel=\"noreferrer\u2062 noopener\">Biden seems afraid<\/a> to take him\u2064 on.\u2064 If he \u200bbeats Biden in New Hampshire, there is no saying \u2062where \u2063he\u200b might go next (For example, \u2063some \u200dreaders will \u200cremember\u200d that in\u200c the 1968 \u2064New \u2062Hampshire primary,\u2064 Sen. Eugene McCarthy beat the unpopular incumbent President Lyndon B.\u2064 Johnson \u2014 paving the\u2064 way for RFK Jr.\u2019s father\u200d to challenge LBJ and \u2064force him out\u200c of the \u2064race).<\/p>\n<h3>The\u2062 Problem\u200d for the\u2062 Democratic Party<\/h3>\n<p>Why\u200c should this be a problem\u2063 for \u2064the Democratic\u2063 Party\u200d establishment? RFK Jr.\u2062 avows sympathy for populism, says he \u2063welcomes the good \u200bwords that\u200b <a \u200dhref=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/rfk-jr-proud-president-trump-likes-me\"\u2064 target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Donald\u200c Trump<\/a> has\u200d for him, and\u200c favors gun rights.\u200c However, he\u2019s\u2062 not a Republican or \u200deven much of\u200b a social \u200dconservative\u200c \u2014 \u200dhe\u2019s\u200b somewhat \u200bpro-abortion\u200d and pro-affirmative action.\u200c He\u2019s also \u2063a convinced environmentalist and is \u2063in\u2062 favor\u2063 of regulating \u2063business.<\/p>\n<p>But\u2063 he parts \u200ccompany\u2063 decisively with\u2064 the current Democratic Party as it \u200chas evolved\u2062 since Barack Obama left office. And therein \u2062lies \u200cthe \u2064rub.<\/p>\n<p>Kennedy is\u2063 a Democrat, \u2063but an \u2062old-school Democrat\u2064 \u2014 the\u200c kind of politician\u2064 Joe Biden used\u200c to\u2064 hold himself out \u200bto \u200dbe but isn\u2019t anymore. RFK Jr.\u200d talks\u200c about issues that really matter\u2064 to middle- and \u2063working-class Americans, most \u2064of whom are being left in \u200dthe\u2062 dust\u200d under Biden\u2019s\u2063 economy. These are\u200b people who worry about how to afford\u200d basic \u2063housing, pay their\u2063 car\u2064 loans, meet next month\u2019s credit\u200b card bills, or, \u200bincreasingly, even find food.<\/p>\n<p>When \u200cthe \u200dcorporate media aren\u2019t\u200d trying to\u2063 distract attention from Kennedy\u2019s major themes\u200d by \u2062turning the conversation to vaccine\u200b mandates or \u2062\u201cwho killed \u200dJFK,\u201d he talks about the dangers that Big\u2063 Pharma\u2064 poses \u2062to our political \u2062system, how the \u200bdefense \u2062industry \u2063keeps us\u200d in perpetual war, and why polluters can \u200bmanipulate \u200bthe environmental bureaucrats\u200b who\u2064 are \u200dsupposed to \u200cbe regulating \u2062them. He\u200d also calls\u2063 for more\u2062 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/axios-breitbart-news-readers-trumps-small-dollar-donors-steer-modern-gop-as-corporate-class-fades\/\" title=\"Axios: Breitbart News Readers, Trump's Small-Dollar Donors Steer 'Modern' GOP as Corporate Class Fades\">vigorous antitrust enforcement<\/a> and an\u2064 end\u200d to \u2064corporate censorship.<\/p>\n<p>What\u2019s more,\u2063 he \u200dbreaks\u2062 ranks with both parties \u2064by calling for\u200c a \u200bserious \u2062debate over Biden\u2019s proxy\u2064 war in Ukraine and excoriates Biden\u2019s decision to\u2063 supply\u2063 cluster bombs\u2063 to\u200b Ukraine\u2062 (for \u2064uses that the Biden \u2062administration used \u200dto consider war crimes). And \u2014\u200d uniquely in our politics \u2014 he denounces,\u2062 in \u2063express terms, the\u2062 oligarchs \u2062and plutocrats \u2064who\u200c are\u200d the real governing class \u2062in this \u200cnation.<\/p>\n<p>This is \u200dthe only presidential candidate you will hear saying, \u201cMy \u2062mission \u200dover the \u200dnext 18\u2064 months\u200b of this \u2064campaign and throughout \u2062my presidency\u2063 will \u2062be to end the corrupt merger of state \u200cand\u2062 corporate power that\u200c is\u2063 threatening \u200c\u2026\u200b to\u200c impose a new \u2064kind\u2062 of\u200b corporate \u2062feudalism\u2064 in\u200b our \u200dcountry.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Even Kennedy\u2019s\u200d vaccine\u2062 skepticism revolves around \u200dthis anti-corporatism. \u2062Kennedy\u2062 opposes a \u2062law, passed \u2062in the \u2064late\u200b 1980s, that absolved \u2063vaccine makers \u200cfrom the threat of lawsuits.<\/p>\n<p>All this makes \u2063him\u200b completely unacceptable to \u2062the \u200bcorporatist, elite-managed\u2062 Democratic \u2062Party forged by Bill Clinton and\u2063 Barack\u2063 Obama \u2014 \u2062the one for which Joe\u200d Biden now\u200c carries \u2064water.<\/p>\n<p>So\u200c expect establishment Democrats to rally around\u2063 Biden. Bad as he\u2062 is,\u200c at least\u2064 he \u2063fends off the \u200crisk\u200c of \u2062open\u2064 primaries that \u200dmight \u200ddemonstrate the appeal \u200bthat RFK Jr.\u2019s\u2063 ideas have\u2062 for millions\u2064 of ordinary \u2063folks in their party \u2064\u2014 moderate \u200cvoters \u2062who aren\u2019t woke, obsessed with the \u200btransgender craze \u200dand \u2063mutilating surgery for children, or \u200bconvinced \u2064that\u2062 unrestricted\u200b abortion\u200d is sacramental.<\/p>\n<p>And expect the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/the-supreme-court-ethics-scandal-is-the-new-russia-collusion-hoax\/\" title=\"The Supreme Court 'Ethics' Scandal: Another Russia-Collusion Hoax\">leftist \u2064media<\/a> \u2063to be both \u200dvicious and relentless\u200d in\u2063 trying \u200cto\u200c marginalize\u200d Kennedy.
