Rand Paul\u2064 (R-KY) dropped a bombshell\u2063 revelation about \u2063former \u200dDirector of \u2063the National\u200b Institute of Allergy and \u200bInfectious\u2064 Diseases, Dr. Anthony Fauci. Despite his \u2064alleged retirement, \u200cit turns\u200b out that Fauci \u200bis still <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/rand-paul-says-hes-confirmed-fauci-has-government-funded-security-detail-amid-alleged-retirement\/\" title=\"Rand Paul confirms Fauci's government-funded security amid retirement rumors.\">receiving government-funded\u200d security\u200c detail<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>According to Paul, the United States Marshals Service is\u200d paying \u200dfor Fauci&#8217;s\u200c security, with the \u2062Department of Health\u2064 and Human Services (HHS) reimbursing the expenses. This information came\u2063 to light\u2064 after \u2064Paul and\u2062 his \u2062team inquired about Fauci&#8217;s status and whether he still had a driver\u2062 and \u200c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/house-votes-on-major-security-upgrade-will-fine-members-5k-for-bypassing-metal-detectors\/\" title=\"House Votes On Major Security Upgrade, Will Fine Members K For Bypassing Metal Detectors\">security detail<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>&#8220;But then we discovered that Fox \u200ddid a \u200dFreedom of Information\u200d Act, \u2064and a \u2062judge forced them to say that while HHS\u200d wasn\u2019t directly \u200bfunding it,\u200d the U.S. \u2064Marshals were funding it. \u200cSo, can you\u2064 imagine,\u200b we \u200dasked \u200dthe \u2064government,\u200c &#8216;are \u200cyou funding his\u2062 limo, and driver, and security\u2063 detail,&#8217; and they \u2063say, \u2018Oh, we\u2019re not doing it, \u2064but oh, somebody \u200delse is doing\u2062 it,\u200b and we\u2019re\u200d reimbursing\u2062 them?&#8217;?\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Paul \u2062expressed\u200b his\u200c frustration\u200c with the government&#8217;s\u2062 lack of\u2064 transparency, stating \u2064that it was \u200da clear example of the\u200d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/tucker-carlson-chinas-rulers-are-using-covid-restrictions-to-stay-in-power-forever\/\" title=\"Tucker Carlson: China's Rulers Are Using COVID Restrictions to Stay in Power Forever\">government lying<\/a> to its representatives\u2062 and the people. He\u200d questioned why a retired official\u200c like Fauci\u2064 would still require \u200dsuch \u2063services, comparing\u200b it\u2062 to \u2063the treatment \u2063given\u2062 to\u2062 former presidents.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\n\u2063  \u2062<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The \u200donly retired official\u200c I \u200cknow of that\u2062 gets \u200bthis\u200d kind \u2062of treatment is a former president. So, I \u200chave\u2064 no idea\u2063 why this\u2062 bureaucrat still has a \u200blimo \u200bdriver, \u200csecurity detail,&#8221; Paul said. &#8220;And \u2064we want to know: Does\u2064 he still \u2064get legal representation? \u2014 \u2062because he may\u2064 need \u200dthat eventually.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Paul\u2062 also \u200bpointed \u200bout that \u2063Fauci has the financial means to pay for his own \u2064security\u2063 detail\u200c and legal defense,\u200d highlighting \u200cthe fact \u200cthat Fauci&#8217;s wealth increased\u200d by \u200b30% during\u200b the pandemic.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Fauci announced his \u200cretirement \u200bin August\u2062 2022, stepping\u2063 down from\u2062 his\u200b NIAID position \u200dand as\u2063 President Joe Biden&#8217;s \u2063chief \u2062medical \u200dadviser at the end of the\u200d year. \u2062However, Paul\u2062 has been \u200bcritical of \u2064Fauci, accusing him \u2063of\u200d using his position \u2064to &#8220;weaponize the government&#8221; and profiting \u200dfinancially from an alleged cover-up regarding the \u2063origin of the\u200c coronavirus.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Click here to read more from \u2063The\u2062 Washington Examiner.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sen.
