\u2062whistleblowers \u2014 who\u200b were \u2063suspended without\u2064 pay because \u200dthey came \u2063forward \u200b\u2014\u2063 had been paid \u2062by \u2063associates\u200c of\u200b former \u200bPresident <a\u2064 href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/game-jack-smith-attorney-says-trump-can-file-one-motion-change-everything\/\"\u200b target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Donald\u2064 Trump<\/a> \u2064for their\u2063 testimony.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cChairman \u2063[Jim]\u200c Jordan\u2063 invited\u2064 some \u2064of \u200dthese\u200b so-called whistleblowers to testify \u2063before\u2063 the\u2064 Weaponization \u200dSubcommittee\u2064 in\u200b May,\u201d \u200dthe\u2064 congressman said.\u2064 \u201cAs it \u2062turns \u200dout,\u200b two\u200c of\u2063 the\u2064 witnesses\u200c were\u2062 ultimately\u200b paid $250,000\u2063 each \u2064for\u2062 their \u2064testimony, \u200bmoney raised, in part, by former Trump\u2063 aide\u2063 Kash \u2063Patel.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In fact, according \u2062to\u2062 <a href=\"https:\/\/justthenews.com\/government\/congress\/hold-democrats-get-fact-checked-after-claiming-fbi-whistleblowers-were-paid\" \u2062target=\"_blank\" \u2063rel=\"noopener\">Just the News<\/a>, two of\u2062 the whistleblowers did receive\u2062 charitable\u200c donations\u2064 to help with \u200ctheir expenses, \u2062but\u2063 the money wasn\u2019t compensation for their \u200ctestimony,\u200c and it wasn\u2019t anywhere\u200c near $250,000.<\/p>\n<p>The\u2064 outlet \u2063reported Wednesday that \u200b\u201cthere is no\u200c evidence \u2062in the public \u2062record that the\u2062 checks \u2062came\u2063 in exchange for testimony.
