About\u2063 15\u200b to\u2062 20 cars \u2062were\u200b bumped off the tracks, <a href=\"https:\/\/6abc.com\/freight-train-derailment-whitemarsh-township-montgomery-county-pa\/13513612\/\"\u200d target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">according<\/a> to helicopter footage.<\/p>\n<p> \u200c<\/p>\n<p>So \u200cfar, \u2064there are no reports of\u200b hazardous materials leaking from \u2063the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/dea-agents-police-officers-shot-during-amtrak-inspection-in-arizona\/\" title=\"DEA Agents, Police Officers Shot During Amtrak Inspection In Arizona\">train cars<\/a>, and there are no \u200breported \u200dinjuries.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Ekqk yuUa lqtk\u2064 TjIX\u200d aGjv\">\u201cAs of now,\u2062 the only\u2063 thing that is \u2064leaking from \u2063any\u200c of the rail cars \u200binvolved \u200bis\u200b silicone pellets,\u2062 which\u2063 pose no\u2062 risk to the community,\u201d Whitemarsh Township police \u2062<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/WhitemarshTownshipPD\" target=\"_blank\" \u2063rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPrecautionary evacuations \u200dhave occurred at the residents and businesses closest to the\u200c scene. It\u2063 is \u2064not believed that further evacuations \u2064will \u200bbe needed, \u200cbut we \u2062will evaluate\u200b as \u200cwe know\u200c more,\u201d police \u200b<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/WhitemarshTownshipPD\/posts\/pfbid0e5eEdYcUwxzB69oZNBwAWKXg2wfVSzbMfdQXUJsWk2re9wadPR52ktKHSTvk2NEAl\"\u200c target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p> \u200d<\/p>\n<p>County \u200cemergency public safety workers \u2062are\u200d also\u200d on\u2064 the \u2062scene, \u2062police said.<\/p>\n<p> \u200c<\/p>\n<p>CSX said \u2064in\u2063 a press \u200brelease \u200bthat only one \u2062car was transporting hazardous \u2064materials\u2063 and that the local \u2063fire department\u200b evacuated about a\u200c dozen homes \u201cout of an abundance of\u200b caution.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe \u2064cause \u2064of\u200d the\u200b incident \u2064appears to be weather\u2062 related,\u201d CSX <a href=\"https:\/\/www.csx.com\/index.cfm\/about-us\/media\/press-releases\/csx-responding-to-derailment-in-whitemarsh-township-pa\/\"\u2062 target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a> in their \u200bpress\u200d release.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Ekqk \u2062yuUa lqtk TjIX \u2063aGjv\">Investigators are still working to find the cause\u200d of the derailment.<\/p>\n<p> \u2064<\/p>\n<p>The \u200dCSX\u2062 train was traveling\u200b on\u200b tracks owned by Norfolk\u200b Southern, the company behind the Ohio <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/at-least-50-killed-in-taiwans-deadliest-rail-disaster-train-carrying-nearly-500-people-crashes-and-derails\/\" title=\"At Least 50 Killed In Taiwan\u2019s \u2018Deadliest Rail Disaster,\u2019 Train Carrying Nearly 500 People Crashes And Derails\">train derailment<\/a> in February that spilled harmful \u2064chemicals into the environment.<\/p>\n<p>\u2064 <\/p>\n<p class=\"Ekqk \u2063yuUa lqtk \u2062eTIW \u2064sUzS\">In February, \u200ca Norfolk \u2063Southern train \u2064carrying\u200d hazardous\u200c materials derailed in East\u2062 Palestine, \u2063Ohio, \u200ccausing\u200d highly noxious \u2062chemicals to leak into the area\u2019s\u200b atmosphere.<\/p>\n<p>\u2062 <\/p>\n<p>Officials decided\u2063 to do a controlled burn of \u2064the \u200dchemicals in \u200dthe train cars, \u200creleasing\u2064 them \u200binto the\u200c air. One of those\u2063 chemicals\u2062 was vinyl chloride, a \u2063highly \u200dflammable substance used to\u2063 make PVC and known\u2062 to cause \u200dcancer.<\/p>\n<p>Residents \u200cof East Palestine were \u2064initially \u2062evacuated but \u200dwere later told they could return to their homes.\u2064 However, \u2062many \u200cremained concerned\u2064 that \u2063the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/outdated-solar-panels-wind-turbines-electric-car-batteries-will-clog-landfills-with-hazardous-waste-according-to-new-report\/\" title=\"Outdated Solar Panels, Wind Turbines, Electric Car Batteries Will Clog Landfills With Hazardous Waste According To New Report\">dangerous materials<\/a> have \u2064impacted air and water \u2064quality, and\u200d some <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/evacuations-after-train-carrying-hazardous-materials-derails-in-pennsylvania\/\" title=\"Pennsylvania train derailment prompts evacuations due to hazardous materials.\">residents reported\u200d negative health\u2062 effects<\/a>, including \u200dtrouble breathing, headaches, \u2062and \u200ddamage\u2064 to\u2063 their \u2062voices.
