For many Americans, the idea of summer camp evokes warm, fire-lit memories of outdoor adventures, new friends, and the simple pleasure of enjoying God\u2019s creation. As a former camper, my favorite activities were archery, educational nature hikes, and any sport involving water.<\/p>\n

After experiencing such delights, it\u2019s hard to believe Planned Parenthood recently had the audacity to market a children\u2019s sex education program as \u201csummer camp\u201d \u2014 but then, it\u2019s already ruining families via abortion and future fertility through sex-suppressing hormones. Why not add summer camp to its list of spoilers?<\/p>\n

For poor souls in Minnesota, Planned Parenthood North Central States announced it was hosting\u00a0\u201cS\u2019MORE\u201d camp, which stands for Science-based, Medically accurate, Open-minded, Responsible Education. None of these attributes accurately describe Planned Parenthood. This is the same organization that\u00a0 changed its definition<\/a>\u00a0of ectopic pregnancy treatment when the facts weren\u2019t convenient anymore.<\/p>\n

After media pushback, however, the program webpage has recently been taken down, with only an earlier version of it from May<\/a> being saved through a web archive.<\/p>\n

The program was listed for minors aged 13 to 15 who have finished eighth grade but not started high school. It was three half-days a week for two weeks, and according to\u00a0 its website<\/a>, topics included \u201chealthy and unhealthy relationships \u2026 consent, birth control methods, barrier methods, sexually transmitted infections<\/a>, and pregnancy options.\u201d<\/p>\n

Planned Parenthood has yet to respond to my inquiry about whether this program was canceled and the reasoning behind that decision. I also inquired whether parenting and adoption were included as \u201cpregnancy options\u201d or if abstinence would have been taught as a protection against sexually transmitted diseases, as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reports that\u00a0 1 in 5 Americans<\/a>\u00a0are thus afflicted. <\/p>\n

As abortion was undoubtedly included in \u201cpregnancy options,\u201d I also questioned whether the risks of abortion were also on the agenda. If consent really does matter, informed consent about abortion \u2014 which threatens women with\u00a0 injury, infertility<\/a>,\u00a0 abuse<\/a>, and\u00a0 maternal mortality<\/a>\u00a0\u2014 should be equally important.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

If your inner child isn\u2019t jumping in excitement for such a brainwashing session, it doesn\u2019t appear that today\u2019s children were either.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Despite the abortion giant doing everything it could to sweeten the deal (free attendance, free lunch and snacks, and a $100 Visa gift card upon completion \u2014 $150 gift card<\/a> for a different Minnesota Planned Parenthood \u201cSex Ed Summer Camp\u201d), Minnesota teens were not flocking to sign up. According to\u00a0 Fox News\u2019 Pete Hegseth<\/a>, one camp in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area was actually canceled due to lack of interest. A\u00a0 week-long version<\/a>\u00a0for 15- to 18-year-olds was being offered instead. Poison in smaller doses is perhaps more bearable, but it doesn\u2019t make it acceptable.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Always twisting something good, Planned Parenthood\u2019s \u201csummer camp\u201d has strayed far from the original purpose of this seasonal, simple childhood joy.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Summer camp found its beginnings<\/a>\u00a0in the mid-1800s with the Gunnery Camp, which the American Camp Association considers the first organized American camp. In Washington, Connecticut, Frederick W. Gunn and his wife ran a boys\u2019 school in their home, and he took the entire school for a two-week escapade in 1861 that included fishing, boating, camping, and trapping. Known as the \u201cfather of organized camping,\u201d Gunn set off a tradition that around 26 million children still enjoy today.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Summer camp later began to be refined as recreational and childhood preservation. In 1874, the\u00a0Young Women\u2019s Christian Association began a \u201c vacation project<\/a>\u201d for \u201ctired young women wearing out their lives in an almost endless drudgery for wages that admit no thought of rest or recreation,\u201d and by World War II, the\u00a0 purpose of summer camp<\/a>\u00a0was \u201cto prolong and protect childhood innocence.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

It\u2019s a worthy endeavor, and one so needed today as our children are exposed to filth in every setting, particularly by Planned Parenthood.<\/p>\n

This is why Students for Life of America is working around the country to get Planned Parenthood out of our schools and communities through initiatives like the\u00a0 Campaign for Abortion Free Cities<\/a>, and it looks like our list now needs to include summer camp.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Looking over just the past several months, ninth graders in Canada were subjected to\u00a0 perverted card games<\/a>\u00a0in the classroom, which included the idea of being sexually attracted to a television. On TikTok, one Planned Parenthood \u201ceducator\u201d coached children on getting \u201c spicy toys<\/a>\u201d while hiding them from parents. Online, they also produced animated videos aimed<\/a> at children, which state that \u201c puberty blockers are safe<\/a>\u201d and chemical abortion pills \u201c are very safe<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

Planned Parenthood has also repeatedly exposed children to\u00a0 \u201cfamily friendly\u201d drag shows<\/a>, handing out condoms and lubricant to children as young as 13 years old. They\u2019ve celebrated\u00a0 \u201cgood\u201d porn,<\/a>\u00a0 \n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
