The media\u2019s flailing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nationalreview.com\/2022\/05\/abortion-polls-are-garbage\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">track record<\/a> on abortion polls proves to be no exception.<\/p>\n<p>The Associated Press is the latest corporate media outlet to twist abortion poll results in favor of Democrats\u2019 abortion extremism. Its <a href=\"https:\/\/apnorc.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/June-2023-Abortion-Topline-1-1.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">new poll<\/a> claims that, just one year after the Supreme Court\u2019s landmark <em>Dobbs v. Jackson<\/em> decision<em>, <\/em>\u201cmost adults still believe that abortion should be legal and most are in favor of Congress guaranteeing access to legal abortion.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The outlet <a href=\"https:\/\/apnorc.org\/projects\/most-americans-support-legal-abortion-with-some-restrictions-ap-norc\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">maintains<\/a> that \u201cmost Democrats say abortion should be legal in all or most cases, while most Republicans think it should be illegal in most or all cases.\u201d What the AP\u2019s coverage of its survey barely mentions is that a majority of U.S. adults are not on board with Democrats\u2019 radical legalization of abortion through all nine months of pregnancy, despite the left\u2019s incessant attempts to normalize their <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/07\/28\/democrats-push-taxpayer-funded-abortion-until-birth-despite-significant-unpopularity-among-americans\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">belief<\/a> that abortion should be available on demand and taxpayers should fund it.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/opinion\/gallup-poll-shows-most-americans-would-vote-for-a-15-week-abortion-ban?utm_source=deployer&#038;utm_medium=email&#038;utm_content=&#038;utm_campaign=Beltway+Confidential&#038;utm_term=Postup\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">In fact, according to a Gallup poll, slightly more than half of Americans support a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/supreme-court-takes-up-mississippi-abortion-ban-case-that-could-limit-roe-v-wade\/\" title=\"Supreme Court Takes Up Mississippi Abortion Ban Case That Could Limit Roe v. Wade\">15-week abortion ban<\/a><\/a> like the one Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham introduced last year, not <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/09\/13\/make-democrats-defend-their-abortion-extremism\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Democrats\u2019 abortion-up-until-birth extremism<\/a>. Only later in the AP\u2019s article does it admit that Americans are split on whether abortion should be legal at 15 weeks of gestation. That number drops to 27 percent at 24 weeks, mere weeks after viability begins.<\/p>\n<p>Despite Americans\u2019 true and consistent feelings about <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/mexico-decriminalizes-abortion\/\" title=\"Mexico Decriminalizes Abortion\">ending life<\/a> in the womb, something <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/06\/16\/poll-majority-of-americans-still-reject-democrats-unlimited-abortion-agenda\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">41 percent of Americans<\/a> say is morally unacceptable, corporate media use many tactics in polling to advance the left\u2019s abortion agenda.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe media generally frame their coverage in a way that lines up with Democratic messaging, labeling any protections for the unborn as an outright \u2018ban,\u2019\u201d Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America President Marjorie Dannenfelser recently <a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/opinion\/healthcare\/4088681-how-the-media-mislead-about-americans-consensus-on-abortion\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">wrote<\/a> for The Hill. \u201cEven laws that allow for abortions for any reason for five full months get the absurd misnomer \u201920-week ban.\u2019 In case they missed it, the dictionary definition of \u2018ban\u2019 is \u2018to forbid someone to do something.\u2019 In no state are all abortions forbidden. Every state that has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/associated-press-poll-is-corporate-medias-latest-language-twisting-exercise-in-advancing-abortion-extremism\/\" title=\"AP Poll Advances Abortion Extremism via Language Twisting\">enacted life-affirming laws makes<\/a> some exceptions.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The same scheming occurs when <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/if-matt-walshs-reporting-is-dangerous-what-is-biden-backed-maga-extremism-rhetoric-that-got-an-18-year-old-killed\/\" title=\"If Matt Walsh\u2019s Reporting Is \u2018Dangerous,\u2019 What Is Biden-Backed \u2018MAGA Extremism\u2019 Rhetoric That Got An 18-Year-Old Killed?\">corporate media refuse<\/a> to call deadly abortion procedures and policies what they are. In its poll, AP not only circumvents the scientifically proven reality of life in the womb, but it also dehumanizes women by using terms like \u201cpregnant person.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure><\/figure>\n<p>The AP\u2019s language swaps are a deliberate dilution of the issue designed to distract voters from the real consequences of abortion.<\/p>\n<p>Since <em>Dobbs<\/em>, <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/06\/30\/thanks-to-texas-heartbeat-law-10000-babies-escaped-abortion-study\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">tens of thousands<\/a> of unborn babies have been saved. If congressional Democrats, with the help of corporate media, legalize abortion through all nine months, that number would decrease significantly.
