Alongside cocaine, marijuana was found in the building twice in 2022, according to an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/doj-to-ask-scotus-to-halt-texas-abortion-law\/\" title=\"DOJ to ask SCOTUS to halt Texas abortion law\">agency spokesperson<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The USSS spokesperson confirmed to The Epoch Times that &#8220;small amounts of marijuana were found on two occasions in 2022 (June and September).&#8221; However, no arrests were made as the confiscated marijuana did not meet the legal threshold for federal or DC misdemeanor charges.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s worth noting that possession of any amount of marijuana, even for personal use, is considered a Class A misdemeanor under federal law, carrying a penalty of up to a year in jail or a $1,000 fine.<\/p>\n<p>The discovery of marijuana in the White House followed the earlier revelation that cocaine had been found in a high-security wing of the building.
