He recalled his wife, Luciana Barroso, pulling him out of it and reminding him to focus on the present moment. She encouraged him to approach his work with professionalism, even in challenging circumstances.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">&#8220;[Luciana] just said, &#8216;We&#8217;re here now.&#8217; You know, and it was like&#8230; I do pride myself, in a large part because of her, at being a professional actor, and what being a professional actor means is you go and you do the 15-hour day and give it absolutely everything, even in what you know is going to be a losing effort. Leslie Groves Jr.<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In an interview with Fox News, Damon discussed his approach to portraying Gen. Leslie Groves Jr., the director of the Manhattan Project.
