Initially, he was featured on an FBI wanted notice shortly after January 6, but he was later removed from the list in July 2021. Speculation arose that Epps, not being charged, was a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/did-president-trump-spring-a-trap-on-treasonous-democrats-on-election-night\/\" title=\"Did President Trump Spring a Trap on Treasonous Democrats on Election Night?\">federal agent<\/a> inciting the emotions of protesters.<\/p>\n<p>In an interview with &#8220;60 Minutes&#8221; in April, Epps claimed that he had cooperated with the FBI and shared his story. However, at that time, he had not faced any criminal charges.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Ray Epps, a key part of inciting January 6th, will be arrested and criminally charged. The relentless attacks by Fox and Mr. Carlson and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/ray-epps-to-be-criminally-charged-for-events-on-january-6-his-attorney-says\/\" title=\"Ray Epps' attorney confirms criminal charges for January 6 events.\">resulting political pressure<\/a> likely resulted in the criminal charges,&#8221; the lawsuit stated.<\/p>\n<p>The lawsuit did not specify the nature of the charges. As of Thursday, Epps was not among those listed in federal court in Washington, D.C., charged in relation to the incursion.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Although it is difficult to believe that the Department of Justice would have pursued this matter if Fox had not focused its lies on Epps, ultimately the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/ray-epps-to-be-criminally-charged-by-doj-blames-tucker-carlson\/\" title=\"DOJ to Charge Ray Epps, He Accuses Tucker Carlson\">criminal charges conclusively demonstrate<\/a> the falsehood of the story that Mr. Carlson and Fox told about Epps,&#8221; the lawsuit argued.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Epps was not a federal agent. He was a loyal Fox viewer and Trump supporter. Had the Department of Justice charged Epps in 2021, Mr. Carlson would have hailed Epps a hero. Instead, Fox and Mr. Carlson made Epps the central figure in a lie they concocted about Jan. 6, 2021. After destroying Epps&#8217;s reputation and livelihood, Fox will move on to its next story, while Ray and Robyn live in a 350-square foot RV and face harassment and fear true harm. You just saw the video, and I will tell you, Mr. Wray, if you don&#8217;t arrest Mr. Epps, there&#8217;s a reason behind it. I believe you know what it is, and it appears to me you are protecting this guy.
