In a bold move, they are considering legislation that would eliminate Mayorkas&#8217;s salary.<\/p>\n<p>One of the leading voices in this effort is Rep. Nancy Mace (R-S.C.), who expressed frustration with the lack of action from the Biden administration. Mace emphasized the importance of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/house-republicans-call-for-defunding-mayorkass-salary-over-border-crisis\/\" title=\"House Republicans demand Mayorkas's salary be defunded due to border crisis.\">elected officials fulfilling<\/a> their duties and suggested using the Holman Rule to defund cabinet members who fail to do so.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>&#8220;Do your [expletive] job or Congress will act.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The Holman Rule allows the House of Representatives to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/maryland-man-arrested-for-threatening-mass-violence-against-elementary-school\/\" title=\"Maryland Man Arrested For Threatening \u2018Mass Violence\u2019 Against Elementary School\">restrict federal funds<\/a> for specific programs or even the salaries of federal employees. Rep. Bob Good (R-Va.) also voiced his concerns, calling for Mayorkas&#8217;s salary to be zeroed out and for his impeachment.<\/p>\n<p>In response, a spokesperson for the Department of Homeland Security defended Mayorkas&#8217;s commitment to the department&#8217;s mission and urged Congress to work together to fix the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/democrats-recruiting-gop-senators-for-amnesty-deal\/\" title=\"Democrats Recruiting GOP Senators for Amnesty Deal\">broken immigration system<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>Impeachment Attempts<\/h2>\n<p>Several articles of impeachment have already been submitted against Mayorkas. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) filed the articles, citing concerns about the porousness of the southern border. Other lawmakers, including Rep. Andy Biggs (R-Ariz.) and Rep.
